ive been feeding a cat colony since 2010. one year after a hurricane, i come out of my house and spotted a raccoon eating cat food and then run under my house when he spotted me. he was so cute, he got along with the cats, no one was fighting, he was even living with them under my house. he must have lost his food source after the hurricane. so i started giving him extra food, fruit and veggies, and extra meat if i had leftovers.
We had to stop going to the dog beach because our hound would stick her head in every single family's snack bag and steal food. It was all about the food for her. Just like that raccoon. And the alligator in that video? He was just trying to cool off in some shade!

Floridians that have been here from birth, generally don’t worry about income level, social status, etc. of acquaintances and friends as much as in other places. Every time I took a business trip when I worked, I would always be ready to escape the snobbery and come home to Florida.

I lived in Frostproof for a while. Woke up every day to see a stray cow in my yard. People down the road kept her tied to the porch, & she just kept chewing through the rope. I babysat an infamous Floridian while I was there. Got lotsa love for ya, but I won't be going back!
