on all phones you gotta charge at 30% and stop charging at 85% to make the battery last. i think this phone has an 85% limit top off in the battery settings. basically it will stop charging when it reaches 85%. most newer phones on all brand have this 85% limit in the settings

I have the phone 13 pro max and I hate the battery life. And I hate how I can’t change the theme and icons as fast as I want to for free. My iPhone with constant use takes 2-5 hours to die…if I watch movies on it then it only takes maybe 2 movies before it dies. My storage is sooo limited anymore and I have the like 128 GB of storage but my phone claims it doesn’t. Then if it updates, I have to restart it and then redo the set up or else the phone acts up. I’m also deaf and it won’t connect to anything I need it to. It’s very irritating to me. Not worth the $1300 it was. Thinking about going back to android. Yes the phone is much more expensive but I’m sure it’s a heck of a lot more uh convenient.
I feel like you got good battery life considering it looks like you were running in its stock form, no performance changes, no low power mode, no blacked out wallpaper. While I understand it’s probably a “hassle” coming from an iPhone to make so many changes to get this phone into a better power config, as MKBHD says he’s a customized guy. I can go both ways because it’s nice to have easy pick up and go and for instance my iPhone 14 plus lasts forever even if you use it all day. However, you cannot customize anything to your liking or make the battery tradeoffs you want. Sure it’s already great but you could take Samsungs s23 ultra and edit every setting that could affect power at your will. Apple already decided what they want for you. Which works. I’m just slowly trying to switch back after these years. Their phones work great but smart watches I’ve had so many weird issues. No notifications, vibrates with no notifications, poor battery life and charging experience on their ultra watch even. They also keep making these hypocritical claims. Privacy but getting sued for selling peoples data. Recycle and save the environment but yet you need to buy every accessory now. Supposedly they are working on their own search engine, that won’t be biased at all just like their news. Getting me to the tipping point was not even realizing until now that Apple erased all of their product reviews, reviews on movies. For an e-commerce brand there can be only one explanation for that. Money and back door deals. Why on earth would you give up transparency and feedback on movies. They’re one of the biggest media libraries in the world for music and movies!!!!! But I’m late to this party and didn’t realize this happened in 2019. Things that make you go hmmmmm. Not saying Samsung is some saint but putting everything in a walled garden then effectively censoring opinions is a big enough problem as it is in the world today.

I just feel like for $1800 they could of improved it more it’s practically the same as a Zfold 3 minus the cameras and the slight screen increase on outer display other than that same phone in my opinion! If you go watch a RUclips video on landscape mode the screen ration is practically the same as watching a video on the 13 pro max ! You're not paying $1800 for a camera, you're paying for a phone that folds in half. If you want the best camera, get an iPhone, but I'd, over to see what apple charges you when they finally "invent" foldable phones. You'll probably only get 2 cameras on it.
