I had that machine running in December, I got another excavator out of there running as well. That’s my can of ether laying under it 😂

22:28 That's designed to be a "pivot" for the loader frame. The idea is that it's a fulcrum that transfers weight to the rear axle instead of keeping it all on the front.
Those industrial fords are very, very stout machines. One of the absolute best out there, next to a 580 Case IMO.
It may be pertinent to reseal that injection pump, they're a pretty simple one and if the seals dry rot they can put diesel in the crankcase.
New paint, a seat, and some hoses and she'll be cherry!

Was really surprised to see a new segment out. As you can see we haven't given up on ya. Put some paint on the old tractor, make it look newer..............................

Some paint (either the yellow it is, or the Ford blue that there is on it), a new seat cushion, then good to go for another couple decades..Lol! You nailed a deal for sure.

Have to agree. Some paint and a wirewheel over the rust is a game changer for the machine.

My dad had one just like that. He broke the swing chain on the backhoe because he was pushing a stump sideways. Other than that it was a good machine.

Hey buddy good to see a video from you. You got a good deal on that man. With the problem it has & it's running really good too & not knowing what problem it had. I am with you on the cold weather man. I hate winter time man. I am a summer time guy that loves wearing t-shirts , shorts , & flip-flops 🩴& kayaking & kayak camping. It's awesome how you saved it from the Junk yard man. Good video buddy thanks you for sharing this video buddy.

I did notice the backhoe part moving a little from the tractor when you were using it. I don't know how it is attached but it might be a good idea to have a look at it.

Definitely put tubes in ALL the tires. It’s my opinion that any not used on the highway benefits from having tubes. I would be shocked if they don’t have tubes in them already. Should have came that way from the factory.

*Dude, what an absolute STEAL Mike!!* 😦 I know the oil had water, but I think that broken manifold kept too much water from the engine and saved it in the long run. Very satisfying to see it move from that brush it was setting in. Don't think I didn't see that old Louisville Ford, lowboy trailer and Mack in the background!! 👀👀

If it's going to stay outside I would put a 5gl or a smaller bucket over the exhaust pipe so you don't get water into the engine it looks like a nice old Ford backhoe it looks like you have lots of hydraulic lines that needs to be replaced when you are pulling stumps out you might want to fill your front bucket with dirt or stone so you have extra weight on the front to keep the front wheels on the ground lol or just skup up the stumps with the front bucket

Hey Cletus get the gun and call the cops somebody's trying to steal our backhoe loader for $600 L.O.L. Man you got way lucky on that machine scrap up here in Canada's about 300 a ton from what I heard this week, that machine weighs way more than that a ton unprepared. I've just paid $1500 for a complete factory original Fordson major tractor in about the same condition without a backhoe and loader to stop it getting scrapped. luckily I got it running and driving easily to, it weighs quite a bit with a full set of factory cast wheel weights that pushed the price higher. Thanks for sharing, Take care
