I exfoliate 24 hours before the tan then lotion on dry areas. Next day right before tan put lotion on dry areas again then apply tan?

Regarding applying tanner on freshly showered skin, & exfoliating 24hrs prior: Do u suggest showering again a day after exfoliating, right b4 applying tanner? So also, can u lotion/oil-up right after exfoliating to keep skin hydrated & prevent dryout b4tanning? If yes, I suppose we'd HAVE TO shower-off that lotion/oil b4 right applying tanner ... i.e. is it ok to apply tanner on skin you've simply showered +exfoliated (+lotioned) 24hrs ago? No, aways shower a few hours before self tanning so your skin isn't wet and your pores are closed. Also, no don't apply any lotion or oil before self tanning, it will cause the tan not to work. I would not apply lotion after I exfoliated, only after the 24 hours of applying the self tanner. I know you can feel dry, but the self tanner you use can have moisturizing properties that can help with this, like my Sunless Rae self tanner. Thank you for the love!
