Mr Random spitting facts on the Altima SE-R! My brother had a 2000 Maxima 5spd with a 50 shot on it and it barely beat a new stock Altima SE-R from a roll back in the day. A few mods to an Altima SE-R and you’ve got a very quick FWD ride even by modern standards.

i had a 98 Maxima 3.0vq. 5 speed. I miss it. Sadly the clutch was so stiff, i tore a tendon driving to Harrisburg. Had to sell it.

I drive a 1998 Altima, 1996 Grand Marquis and a 2003 Qx4. All reliable vehicles. Love them all, my nissan is pre cvt crap. 2nd gen black tint black car black rims. Great sport car, with good pickup.

2007 350z owner chiming in. I've had no real issues with my own 350z but since this is a DE and not an HR, just watch for the usual suspects. Oil consumption, gallery gaskets, 3rd gear going out. Might consider getting one of these FWD G35's if I need a cheap beater by winter

i did have a gen 1 altima SE with the 5speed and wing and ground effects from factory, it was a major sleeper when i boosted it
