The amount of work and effort you put in your videos, especially this one, is just ridiculous. There has never been a more thoroughly created video for beginners than this one for sure. I have watched it in one piece even though I fly Fpv for 3 years now. Your videos are a real enrichment for the community. Thank you for everything you are doing for the hobby.
Legend. Im a 4yrs pilot but still watching the whole video for fun and still a bunch to learn. This video Will teach a whole new generation of pilots. Thank you for keeping FPV alive.
It’s insane that we have a 3.5h guide for free on RUclips. You’re a true hero my guy an appreciate it so so much and i learned pretty much all i need from just this vid. Thank you Brodie :)
I'm not new to this hobby so I don't really need it but this will certainly help so many new pilots. it's so cool to see this amount of RC / FPV knowledge condensed into one long video, this much useful information in one single place. thanks for the effort! :)
Wish i found your videos sooner. i bought the Tinyhawk freestyle 2 also and it wasn't the, best but once i found people like you and Bardwell I started to figure out what kit was right for me, awesome vid!
I built my first drone last week thanks to your tutorial video. It was a fantastic experience, and these days I’m flying in the sky for the first time after using the simulator. It was great to learn, and it made me want to build more drones on my own. Thank you for the extremely well-made tutorial and great work. THANK YOU!
Super cool!! I have been flying for 2 years, and had many issues, from buying a cheap RTF kit with Literadio 2 SE (gimbals failed), to deciding to build a 9-inch as my first drone, and try to hover it over my bed in my small apartment (went as “well” as you can think 😆), currently flying 3.5" and cinewhoops, finally enjoying the hobby and not messing around with drone problems all the time (at least most of the time hahaha). Great video for beginners to avoid common mistakes!! I noticed this is kind of a compilation of your previous videos hahaha, nice idea.,
Super helpful video although it’s just reassured me that my decisions for my first drone that I’m gonna be building with my son are correct. I almost made some very poor decisions myself before deciding to not buy something and do additional research and I mean like weeks of research so this video is one of those and you know for someone who’s only been in it for four years you’ve had a lot of experience and all of this stuff makes a lot of sense. I feel like by the time I get into something that I’m kind of a expert already I know that seems crazy but I just do a lot of research upfront. I’m a programmer. I’m a builder, but all of this stuff makes me feel a lot more confident with the decisions I’m making so hats off to you, bro
thank you, i think the best piece of advice is the tiny whoop practice, i kinda want the build an O4 mini drone when that comes, til then im building a O3 Whoop for now, i been using the neo but find its not as responsive as the avata 2, but i like the size, so a neo size whoop until i can build an even smaller one on the same system
I start Drone sims a few month ago, I have Uncrashed, DRL, and Trypfv. And I prefer DRL, but I'd like to have more info on the screen like speed, height, etc .... Also I'd like to have a score summary of my scores for each tracks to see my progress, not only the best score. thanks
What's up. I own the skyzone O4X and it is great. The reason you hate the video quality so much is because the drone you're using may be a lower tvl. 700 tvl looks good, 1000tvl and up looks great. Analog done right is a beautiful thing.
If you destroy gopro (i do it maybe 6 times xd) it NOT END! You can replace gopro in gopro subscription for 1/3 price or... made NAKED version! Now we are able to build for example sub250 "Red Kyte Xzwei" with o3 naked - the beast for cinematic footages in cities! :)
ps. turnigy accucell lets you monitor each cell, press third button once while charging and it displays all the cells, so press once when you start charging then when its nearly finished look again, 0.1v of a difference is an absolute no no. 0.05 is a dudd, ok for scouting.
None of my computers could swing any of the sims listed, so I was limited to my android phone. That said, I learned on a FPV Freerider Recharged, and from there started flying IRL. I found it to be perfectly adequate especially considering that I was able to find some decent user created maps to fly. Also FPV Freerider is free on Android.
At the meantime the Walksnail Avatar Goggles L is the newest entry level digital fpv goggles but remember if you're using walksnail goggles you gotta use walksnail fpv camera aswell
Brodie Reed I have a 300 dollar budget to spend on a Fpv set up. I am new to Fpv and I would like to know exactly what I should buy. I would love to get a set up that is easy to upgrade is very fun.
If your computer is old and slow as hell like mine Fpv free rider is the one you should go with as the maps are tiny enough for even my potato of a computer can handle easily
56:20 I’m not saying I don’t agree with your statement. But did you not already have to go through all of the trouble learning when you built. What’s the difference from doing it when it breaks vs sooner ?
Could you help me find a drone kit for 500 €, I looked at the one you recomendad but the drone in it is way too heavy as I can’t fly anything over 250g in Spain, I also couldn’t find exactly which configuration of the drone you recommended, love your videos and would love some help.
Insanely useful guide ! The whole community is grateful. Although i was wondering how come you didn’t include the DJI Avata 2 somewhere in the video, maybe just to take it into consideration. What do you think about it, if you can tell me just a few quick words? Thanks and keep up the good work!
I'd much prefer the 65$ controller, because if you have an expensive transmitter, you have to have an expensive receiver. I'd prefer the cheaper route.
Do you have to have a license to fly FVP in the United States. Can’t find a real answer. Their FAA site is all over the place on drones?? Would mean a lot if you could respond.
Hey I’m pretty new to FPV but my controller rn is the beta FPV controller and I have put 50+ hours on sims and actually flying without and problems so don’t hate on beta FPV. I think you just are to hard on your controllers
I have the grey box emax controller started with freestyle drones then got a nano indoor racer and one motor failed and I am not able to fix it and I am thinking if my controller can connect to some sim and thoughts in the Darwin Rincon king range fold ❤
@@Hachiko-VR I wouldn't recommend it. You are going to crash your first drone hundreds of times. The Neo is plastic, it will break relatively easily and is not repairable at home. Get something with a carbon fiber frame that has standard components you can replace yourself.
hii im trying to start fpv but money is a little problem for me right now. I live in a country where the average yearly pay is a little over 1200$ so can u pleaseeeeee do me a favor and send me any fpv kit i can start with. Also i love your videos so keep the good work up
Please don't dismiss Freerider like that, its biggest feature is that it is available on mobile! I have literally learned to fly FPV with Freerider about a year ago simply because it was so accessible on my phone, and using it on a Fold 4 (which admittedly is a niche) is a perfect fit! It has ok physics and is always ready because it's in your pocket. Also there is a second variant of Freerider which also supports custom maps but It's pretty cumbersome. Graphics are outdated no question, but that's not everything. Great video anyway!!
@@leo37194 No, it makes it more confusing. Learning the correct terminology from the getgo shouldn't be that hard considering the amount of knowledgde it actually takes to start in fpv. No need to dumb it down.
@@woltervandenbergI think if you saltily cry more about it, maybe a bit harder, then that'll deffo work in changing peoples minds. It's a super friendly approach and totally not condescending at all 😁🤗

Maybe the fact that there's not a single rc-brand in the world that calls a radio a controller should be a hint. A quad is not an X-box.
Calling it a controller makes it easier for beginners

There’s no hyphen.
It's both a controller and a radio in one. I don't really see the problem with it
