    Hey Brad!
    I have a Vespa LX50, now with an Athena 70cc pro sport, Sito plus exhaust (for stealth look) Malossi 2000 variator + rear spring, standard clutch with Malossi springs. Sticking with the standard 17.5 carb so far as I understand that gives better low end torque compared to a larger size.
    …just want to say that I have been looking at very many of your videos and really enjoy the way you break things down and explain in such good ways. Such an asset!
    Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your insights and knowledge!

    Another great tutorial . 👍
    CVT tuning is so simply complicated. It really is a balancing act.
    I always found with the Kevlar belts. They would wear out the variator more quickly.
    So the belt you recommended sound ideal.👍

    Are you able to do a sports (chamber) exhaust tutorial for the zip? As asides from transmission/varistor mods, chucking a sports exhaust on would be the most popular mod. Would be good to see that + re-jetting the zip for it

    Hey people, love your channel, bunch of useful stuff.
    I would like to upgrade my electrical output on my 2000. Piaggio LIberty 125. It is a pre-leader engine.
    I use my scooter daily, I commute with it, I travel and I need my heated grips to not drain my battery after starting it for 20 times a day.
    Sometimes I turn the grips off and I use kickstarter to recharge my battery. But I would enjoy not having to do it.
    Do you have any advice?

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  6 месяцев назад +1

      You could start with another battery that has a higher amp hour rating.
      I prefer to fit a second battery which powers the heated grips. Connect the main battery to the second battery by way of parallel, voltage stays at 12V. (
      google Series and Parallel for 12V batteries). Use an isolation swith which isolates the power between the 2nd battery and turn it on during riding when you need to charge the second battery. Use the 2nd battery for the grips only and not both to start the electric motor. For best results seek professional help when fitting electricals.

      Thank you for the super quick reply. The thing is, my under seat compartment is full of tools and spares, tire sealant (I am prepared for anything :) ). And there is no room for battery that is bigger than the stock one, I'm afraid. I'd rather buy another stator with bigger output but I've never heard of aftermarket ones. Thank you for the idea, I will keep it in mind.

    I really like your video, it was so helpful and clear to understand! I changed my OEM rollers with the help of your video! Are the OEM Piaggio rollers supposed to rattle a little bit? Hello, Glad it helped and well done👌 The rollers don't rattle under acceleration, check if there is something loose at the engine, check the transmission bolts and nuts, check the exhaust and exhaust brackets. Check the kick start lever.

      @@scooterstreetau just a quick update if someone has the same rattling: Yesterday I removed the clutch drum and saw that the 3 pads on the outside of the clutch centrifugal unit had pretty shiny surface which is not good. I sanded them down a little bit with 100 grit paper and I also sanded the inside edge of the drum because that was also too shiny and slippery. Cleaned everything with brake cleaner and the noise is gone 😁 thanks for the tips anyway!

    I have a piaggio zip 2 stroke - its fairly low mileage , ive put an exhaust on it , derestricted the carb, stiffer clutch springs (25% stiffer), 6 Gram malossi rollers.
    It bogs at full throttle, and theres barely any acceleration from 1/4 throttle to full throttle but after a little bit it then it starts to move - currently have a 60 Main jet in the 17.5mm carb

    Hi ive got nrg mc3 im up grading variator clutch and bell belt all malossi also going with naraku torsion controller the one that spins and malossi torsion controller will i see much gains on standard topend or would i need to 70 kit im also running gianelli pipe

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  5 дней назад

      If there are any limits on the potential of the factory parts, the answer is yes.
      Replace one part at a time then test ride. Do not put everything in all at one time. Gains will be made with the variator roller weights, not too light.
      If the belt is slightly longer and there is travel on the variator will equate to more top speed, shims can be used if take off is lost. Dont use Kevlar belt. Special is more beneficial.
