In this video, I talk about the process of getting to a place that allows your mind to cultivate the inspiration and motivation you need to change your life in the way that you want.
I talk about three main methods:
1.) Dedicate some time every day to actively doing nothing.
2.) Allow yourself to have slower, low-energy days. Don't use coffee or stimulants to power through.
3.) Once a week, take a break from something that stimulates you. For example, video games or social media.
I know this video is longer than my usual ones, but I hope it can help people! I got really excited talking about this topic so I went on longer than I usually do.

This video ended up longer than I expected! I thought about this topic for a few weeks before sitting down to record it. I think I had a lot of thoughts I wanted to share because this is a topic about which I'm passionate. I hope it's okay! Maybe you can listen to it while driving or before you sleep.
I haven't officially "announced" it anywhere yet, but the first shirt for Beautiful Day Clothing is out! I'll still be tweaking the website later tonight but everything is set up to ship.
I want to use this as a way to highlight the wonderful artists in our community as well as raise money for charitable causes (St. Jude's Children's Hospital this month). It also helps support the brand of course.
Even if you don't care to buy anything, our artists worked hard on the illustrations so check out the designs below!

Right now, Im suffering from binge eating disorder, i dont have friends to hang out with (which i wish i had.) well I tried to be friendly (like, i did my best), but I think they think I was too weird that they all run away. I dont have friends, I dont have hobbies, being in this negative feelings I feel 24/7, the only thing I found that gives me happiness is eating.. So, the moment i eat is the *only time* I can feel happy. I keep jumping from weight gain and weight loss so fast and vice versa, as if my working out and my disorder is doing a tag of war. And my depression hits so hard that i dont work out anymore. And I know, its just a matter of time, till I'll become obese, my family is already fat shaming me in my normal weight, what more if I become obese.

I often feel SO stuck. I'm 27 and have been dealing with a chronic pelvic/groin physio condition that I can't seem to overcome. I feel chronic tension and pinching of the nerves my left groin, which effects almost everything I like to do (intimacy, exercise, work...). For the past few years I have essentially just been 'buying time' to try to overcome this so I can move on with my life, and to do all of the things I want to do, but sadly I haven't been able to yet. Sometimes I feel like I've lost my whole life to this. When I don't think I can overcome this, every aspiration seems pointless. Which is why I watch channels like this in hopes I can train my muscles to get rid of whatever dysfunctional pattern has caused this.

    • @axeberge
      @axeberge 3 года назад +1

I'm going to attempt to give you some tips. I'm not a medical doctor but struggled with a herniated disc causing pinched nerves and negative thought patterns regarding it for a few years. Do whatever activity/movement that you can do that is painless or close to it. Walking is usually the best, regardless of the pain (almost).
Say you can walk 5 minutes painless or close to it, before it starts becoming an issue. Start incorporating 5 minute interval walks, taking breaks until you can repeat an interval painless. This is easiest to do if you can get access to a treadmill. Now if you can walk for 10 minutes + you can just take a walk outside. Preferably try to walk anywhere between 20-60 minutes a day, 30 minutes is a good goal to aim for.
Regarding your postponement of the rest of your life. Waiting for perfect conditions is a terrible idea, do what you can with your current capacity. I might be able to give more specific ideas/tips if you elaborate on what exactly you are postponing. Personally i went on extended travel to many countries with my back condition by using painkillers and tips i found on airplane seating to endure the flights, then daily exercise and walking a lot due to the nature of traveling. I had many days that were bad and painful, but i still managed to find ways to do the things i wanted.

This is so powerful. I just made dinner and I decided to turn on RUclips to find something to stimulate me. I've been feeling very bogged down lately and am ready for a vacation. I have a job and a second job I do when I want. Lately I've been trying to find out why I Can't get myself to do my job that doesn't have a schedule. I finish my first job and even on early days I feel like doing nothing. And nothing is what I do.... except for one thing. Yes video games. I'm passionate about most fighting games and I spend a ton of time when I'm not at my 2 jobs learning about them. It's never been a problem before but watching your video as I ate dinner I realized just how much I've forced squeezing them into my time. On my breaks at work. Before sleep. Even during work I talk to people about frame rates and other intracies. I don't want to give them up as I've started streaming occasionally and I play a few games on not one but a couple phones I have. Yes it's that deep. Where I live I've accumulated alot of things. Video game systems, cars. And with that bills. Multiple phones, 4 vehicles, every single video game system. And I realize you are right. It's a escape from reality. I will try and scale it back as I ponder what I really want to do. I hope this wasn't too long. Thanks friend

One specific detail of this video really resonated with me. I've been on a forced hiatus from Amino for almost a full year now, and I thought it was for one reason. Once I heard this video I realized that it was only part of the problem. I was averaging maybe 4-6 hours on Amino every day. I didn't realize how bad it was for my health. After a bit, I thought I understood. That feeling persisted until now. From my experience, there are several points where you think you've improved, just because you've identified what you were doing wrong, even though you haven't made an effort to change it. You never realize you haven't actually changed until something clicks. For me, that something clicked about a month ago, but I couldn't find motivation to actually do something about it. This video definitely helped. I'll try some of the things that you suggested. If they work, I might be back to share any other tips I found along the way. For now, I'm feeling rather tired, so I'm going to sleep. Without my TV running as background noise and light, for once. That may help.

My current 8h corporate job is fairly mindless most of the time, and thats when i get the best ideas. I started to write them down, like my fitnes goals or dreams and books id like to read and places id like to see...but they usualy stay on the paper. Thx to your channel, im working on my fitnes small steps each day, and i love you for all you do.
The way that helped me to drink less coffee is to eat more protein...i mean way more. And not a protein powder, but real meat/beef, chicken, pork, i eat at least 2pounds, or 1kg of meat a day. I am a female. Its doing wonders.
    Good luck yall

But seriously it's soo goddamn hard for me to create routine. For example, doing something everyday or even once a week. It's soo hard to remember to take a break for a meditation or to do anyanything really, my mind just wonders off easily I do some work towards my goal for a few days, and then my mind just get distracted and i don't do anything for weeks.

Hampton! Brother! Man this was a extremely interesting and insightful video to watch! And I actually followed through with the part where you said to be alone with your thoughts for once 🙏 it was a dark and scary place truly. I ended things about a lot of dark things that have happened to me in the past, but inna Sense for the first time in YEARS I was alone with those thoughts and I was able to comes to terms with a lot of the things that happened to me in my life, from losing loved ones to thinking back to past relationships, to thinking about lost job opportunities to even the darkest of times when I wanted to take my own life. It was a really dark and scary place but man I have to say I truly feel better for it. Normally I can't fall asleep without some form of tv or noise to keep "the mind" at Bay. But after just embracing the the silent for a good 20 mins I found I was able to learn from my past experience and move on 🙏 (and fall asleep ha!)
Just wanted to say thank you! I truly found that sometimes the dark isn't so scary after all. 😁

Happieness comes from first knowing what your bad habits are (often times with the help pf a therapist) and secondly by beginning to actively invest time and energy in changing those habits. I see it like a pot of misery: it is easy to settle into this state however getting back out means you having to invest lots of time and energy to overcome the barriers of the pot you’re in. The longer you’re in there doesn’t mean more energy required, we just mentally begin to accept our misreable self as reality and try to deal with it instead of changing something about it. Thinking positive while doing these chores is key, which is something overlooked. My peers around me are going 100% all the time not noticing they are heading straight to a burnout.
