Iam honestly surprised by the Faces in Hfw, They look so realistic that if you give a picture of character of hfw to a stranger, they won't be able to tell that it's not real.
They really did. I was surprised just how good everyone looked and moved.
Arrow in forbidden west might be best in the industry. The way it stick to machine and move when stick on tree is sweet

You can also do a jump dive on HFW too by pressing 'X' then 'O' 10:19
Horizon Forbidden West feels more natural and realistic compare to Valhalla, I think Valhallal's lighting is too much and harder that creates eye-burn when Horizon's shadow and lighting is soft and limited.
In Ac Valhalla if you dont want your arrows to dissappear ( getting destroyed) you need a skill for that =))

Yeah you also have to pay real money for experience boost because they knocked it down in game to make leveling up slower. Everything is made to get you to pay money for it in alot of these games now, luckily Sony has mostly kept that from happening in their games except for GT7 I'm afraid, especially pissed that it's always online only! I like having the option to take my PS4 to other places and sometimes other places don't have internet. maybe these companies will make a version of the switch or steam deck lol. Sony had a patent for that switch idea before switch came out I always wondered if Sony sold the rights to Nintendo because they ended their handheld line after that.

At 10:20 you forgot to press O for Aloy to get into dive animation.
I remember thinking "Oh that sucks I bet they didn't include the cool diving animation we saw in the trailers" and then I tried to dodge after jumping and it worked and I felt stupid x
it can be easily miss in the 1st tutorial mission too.

For me, Horizon for sure takes the cake even though there are some details that Valhalla does that I'm surprised Horizon doesn't
It would be interesting to compare the 3D models of not just the main protagonist, but a variety of quest characters and NPCs. AC:V has a large number of very poorly designed, ugly NPCs in the games. The quality of all 3D characters in HFW is much, much higher.

Both are great games. People have prejudice against this new type of Assassins Creed but I love it actually. You feel like "transported" to that age and Ubisoft do a loooot of historical work to get the game done. Just dont forget Valhalla is from past generation, so it is doing actually pretty well in the comparison.

the absolute biggest difference is the lighting. Most of the VAL shots look like they were shot in a studio with very diffuse (flat) lighting

You know a company is dead when they earn through MTXs than actual game sales. So they rarely put money into games and details and much more into rainbow cosmetics.

Climbing Looks Realistic In Horizon Forbidden West
i have owned Horizon Forbidden West since it launched in 2020.... And Horizon Zero dawn since 2017... Run through both games many times...Never have I noticed you could do an hanging shimmy on the robes!!! I learn something new every day😲
Usually in these comparisons one is superior to the other, but these both games are almost equally impressive as a whole....

@@sullyboi3513 Telling this game is good means telling dogshit tasty. Its typical ubisoft open world game. Its not an assassin's creed. The filler quests, the bad story, the bad combat etc. The protagonist is not even an assassin. The last 2 games of AC is one of the worst. It could be finacialy succesful but AC fans are disappointed by these games. And i have played every AC game till now including this game but was highly disappointed. They are just attempting to copy games like witcher and god of war.
I gotta say, Horizon definitely has better graphics and scenery, but one thing Assassins Creed has is superior water physics.
Not really, Horizon has more variations in water in terms of physics detail and effects depending on area water (estimated) temperature etc. Maybe the surface ripples could be better but the decima engine was never good with water where as Ubisoft should be master by now consider the number of games like Assassin's Creed that they have where as HFW is guerrillas second and is so amazing it compares to Red Dead Redemption, Assassin's Creed, GTA, etc all of these were made by studios who have made way more than just 2 games. That's why people are so amazed at Guerrillas work.

@@wingedhussar1453 okay firstly Aloy is kicking her feet UNDERWATER causing underwater ripples upwards which is why there are so many ripples behind her, eivor is kicking out of the water and in creating splashes. Secondly, The way they swim is different and the physics are slightly different as the ripples in Horizon are better as it's more realistic from a 360° angle in AC, the ripple in front is to Big and moves in a weird way and there is hardly any ripples while eivor is stationary by diving. When eivor is underwater yes bubbles should come out of his clothes because of released air but that should only happen for a short while if you see underwater footage in real life it looks more like Horizons because underwater is still unless you make brash movements, like when you dodge in Horizon or swimming rampantly. AC looks good but ultimately Horizon's is better.

The only thing that really bothered me was Eivor's freaking hair by his scalp at @6:50. They basically just put hair on a head and didn't think to add any textures underneath the hair to make it look like natural hair. It looks like hair plugs without that texture. but Aloy's scalp on her forehead doesn't look like that. It looks boarderline real. And that peach fuzz is incredible.
I own both games and I enjoy playing them so it's not like that's a dealbreaker.
They both look great but horizon kinda ate miss Valhalla up especially on snow deformation

I'll take the climbing mechanics from valhalla that's just my opinion though and the atmosphere is much more real to me which I like
My series x is my go to console love valhalla I have a ps5 I have both horizon games have to say out of both consoles I've never seen better graphics in any game other then both horizon games but details in valhalla and new horizon both have good and could be better

Ghost of Tsushima looks better than both well worth checking that out great open world game. I am impressed with how well HFW flows though the gameplay is top notch. Valhalla just a copy and paste Assasins Creed the more I played it rhe more i noticed all the little short cuts Ubisoft took thays the trouble with all their games pretty much.
The biggest difference is Valhalla is a fiction based on history, while Horizon is a fiction based on a dream.

Vegetation in valhalla is so dull....no air flow and grass suddenly pops at some distance

I actually had a pretty sweet moment happen to me thanks to that. I was wandering somewhere in the game and I found a weak sword and bow, with the clothes you get at the beginning of the game and it was there that I dropped these items and after so many time it was still there on the ground of some random part of the map, that was really cool.
