These two are probably the best looking games out there right now, the scenes at sunset or weather changes in general are absolutely mesmerizing in both the games.
I'd argue the 2 best looking games right now are the last of us prt two and red dead redemption two. Both are far better, graphics and detail wise lmao
Playing it, there's just so much going on in Avatar's world. Everything interacts with you and there's just so much life taking place around you. And the scale is insane. The architecture is massive.
I honestly love forbidden west more than any other game besides skyrim. THE CHARACTERS, the voice acting, THE STORYLINE OF THE GAME and the ANIMATION and gaming mechanics, They are all extraordinary, its my top most recommended game! Im sad the online version of the game they are making is only gonna be in VR though because im not great in a vr headset. Maybe they are making it on pc or playstation as well so i could be wrong but im not sure. Id have to look into it some more.
@@NoNam3_xLeaderX This comment is wrong in so many ways, it has nothing to do with gow, unlike gow every single animation looks even better while in gameplay and at any moment through the open world, not in a predefined cinematic from a linear path, both combat approaches are completely diferent and its design as well, also, I dont want to be rough, but dont excuse your lack of skill as a flaw of the game, blocking is a mechanic that trivializes combat a lot by removing its timing and good sense of location requirements, its inclusion (or not inclusion) affects the entire combat and enemy design, needless to say if theres a shitty roll it is in gow.
@@William-Sunderland nah, I’m just stating a fact that you can’t block in a game that has a shit ton of combat😂😂 all you can do is roll. You said forbidden west is better than anything else, but it’s a gow rip off. Just my opinion 🤷🏽♂️
Avatar to me feels like there's more life. Pandora's night is simply breath takng. Interacting with the characters cut scenes are more pleasant there also. Flying in the clouds is a really cool experience. HFW overall tho overall I think is a better graphical experience. Storytelling wise both I think are pretty good in different ways. HFW I didn't really feel like I hated anyone in HFW. But Avatar had me truly hating the humans and wanting to wipe them out. HFW I just wanted to progress and learn more about what's going on. Both are fantastic games. While not possible currently, Horizon has a VR game that I enjoyed playing. I do wish Avatar had a PSVR2 option and future Horizons do. Both games would be beyond amazing with that level of immersion.
Avatar gives you the first person view as to not have to be completly emotimg him. Aloy gets wet in the rain and you see the drops on her, she sweats in the desert and she shivers and has cold breath in the snow or cold. She comes out of swim amd stays wet for quite a while. Avatar does non of that cause they made it first person as to not have to bother with it.
actually there is no desert or cold areas in avatar but if ur playing co-op u can actually see thise details... there is also water reflection after rains as well as the arrows staying after being shot but u need to unlock an ability to be able to retrieve tgem after being shot
They made it first person to immerse you in the world of pandora. The effort they put into the world is way more than the effort put into the map for HFW. I have both games, and I am a massive fan of the Horizon series - both games are amazing in their own right.
Horizon forbidden west is still the best looking game this generation in my opinion. Horizons dlc Burning shores has the best hdr implementation, alan wake 2 on pc came close to beating it but i still give it to Horizon because it's a open world game and it runs really smooth on the ps5 console, that's impressive.
@@popcornfilms1testament to stupid devs targeting 60 fps instead of cutting edge graphics lmao😆 Considering how matrix awakens looks, we know ps5 is capable of much better
I am currently finishing Avatar and I feel that Horizon is the only game I can jump into next, without feeling a massive graphical/animation/physics downgrade. Atmospheric sound in Avatar is also one of the best I have ever experienced: hearing huge trees crackling in the wind when you are near them, the flora and fauna always sound alive, thunderbolts buring trees and cutting off branches when they hit, the wind sound when flying with the Ikran, thunderstorms blowing leaves and trees around, the way your Na'vi steps sound when transitioning from one surface to another.... All of these make the game highly immersive. Love games with this much level of world detail.
I'm actually impressed with Avatars weather simulations. That's the only thing I think it does better than Horizon. Overall though Horizon is a much better looking game, but Avatar is awesome just for implementing so much ray tracing without it running terribly.
I'm currently playing Avatar on PS5 & I loved Forbidden west but I need to say. Forbidden west I've never seen it drop frames. Avatar the frame rate drops pretty often so Forbidden is better on that part
Avatar nails the busyness and denseness of the environment. A lot of games put a few trees here Ave there no matter the graphics the only other game that does this is sons of the forest
You will have fun with the game without watching the movie.Though watching the movie gives it more context and I believe it would make it even more enjoyable.
I might be biased, but it's better than the usual ubisoft trash games (yeah I really don't like FC and Assassin's creed..) But if the world of avatar does nothing for you, I would rather advise against buying it, maybe consider ubisoft game pass for a month.
Prince of Persia, Rayman, splinter cell, far cry 3, watch dogs 1 and 2, freedom fighters, Rainbow six. Ubisoft has a great legacy. Just because they are taking bad decisions now doesn't negate that
I love how ppl hating on avatar yet if you have the right tv the right picture set up the gane snd the details show more yall to quick to push the button psh
