Good thing I started AFK farming 10+ hours ago, and my lobby is still going lmao Edit, After 24 hours I fucked up and exited the lobby. I managed to get 3 Full weapon patterns, over 150 Prisms, and more then 400 cores. Upset I messed it up.
I wish bungie would look at this and understand that people doing this means theres a problem with the economy of the game and not just focus on patching an exploit. Enhancement prisms are the new legendary shards and are much harder to get.
I'm surprised this was patched 3 hours ago, apparently if you were already in the activity prior to the patch and never stopped, you would still be able to take advantage of it. I literally just stopped to check something and went to launch again to find that I now need 2 people haha
I've noticed the drops days ago while playing with my friends, i knew it was a bug but i loved it since feels rewarding playing while laughing with ur friends. Sadly this probably will go away soon :c
Did you not throw on the ghost mod? It's required for the prisms, cores, and legendary gear. On a side note I checked if we can get weapon XP from this but sadly not.
This "exploit" has been not been patched but Bungie made changes to Crucible private matches, We can no longer enter match types like survival (winning by team deaths} ALONE or SOLO. Other types can be entered alone/solo but winning takes much longer and no longer worth the effort. So more AFK rewards.
--edit Scratch that.. no glimmer on completion either.. Patched! Rift still works solo but requires some input and longer time but on Anomaly map just dunk 3 sparks, and I just had legendary weapon drop, on 1st try. it takes about ~1:55s as opposed to about ~30s on previous glitch.. Not had any matts drop yet! (3rd go now)
maybe i just have really bad luck or it has already be patched. just did it like 25 times and got nothing but 1k glimmer. (edit) not patched, just bad luck. just got a lost signal drop, not red border though.
I seem to be getting drops about 1/2-1/3. Using the prism one now since I really need prisms but legendary items one is great too it gives like 4k glimmer from the 1k normal and dismantling 3 items plus gunsmith rep and a chance of cores.
I just saw a comment that helped me get rewards more often. So if there's 2 rounds that must end in either win or loss (and ties don't count towards that number), you need to do 4 rounds total, 2 wins and 2 ties. The pattern is tie, win, tie, win. I'll respond with an update on if other patterns work for me but this is time sensitive so I figured I'd say what worked for me first
Throwing in an occasional tie (jump off map) seems to work wonders with the prosperity mod for me. Also switching the reward mod after you’ve gotten a drop. May be copium, but it’s something to do😂! Cycling through chars after a drop also helps. (Hunter seems to be the rich bitch for me!)

I then told myself I would try once more ,changed my ghost settings to Enhancement Prisms and BAAAAAM! got a Red border! Woohoo!.😂 Been getting drops pretty consistent now. 😎👍 Thanks Cheese! It is Very Rare I am able to jump right on before a patch is made. 😂
Seems like it's been patched for folks who aren't already running a macro. Trying to launch it by yourself now says "not enough teams for this activity." Possibly still good with a partner.
This is an INSANE oversight to have a private game reward anything at all, imagine making some private CoD lobby supposed to be for purely LAN party play, then it actually ranks your profile all the way to Prestige 100 by farming the easiest bots

Just ran it 5 times. All I get is 1K glimmer. Haven’t got anything other than glimmer. Tried different ghost mods as well. just an FYI.

I don't think this is a big issue. The rewards are minimal at best, and you have to put in crazy hours just to get a decent amount of rewards
@OmnifinityA4114A it's a good farm, but I feel the time investment is poor. You would get more prism in nightfalls faster than afk private matches.

Remember prisms are now capped so don't bother doing this for prisms if you are already maxed.
