New Movement Tech! - Air Surfing
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 12 апр 2024
- This is a New Movement Technique called Air Surfing. It is very similar to barrier surfing except this can be done anywhere. With Air Surfing you can cross massive gaps while GAINING height.
There are several places where hitting an Air Surf is faster than a traditional skate. That means this tech has value for both Speed Runners and anyone who knows how to skate. If you have any questions about how it works let me know and Enjoy the Video!

In case you have trouble Strand Skating here's a more in depth video

Thankyou, also you don't need to spam jump super quick
How/why does a jump input do anything in the air if it’s not causing double jump??
Don't ask questions just do it. Just like he showed in the og D1 clip it simply just does work@Penguinman2.0
@@cudaa73 well yeah, I’m just curious about what’s happening under the hood
Slammer is stasis and Falling Guillotine is void. What's that sword?
The epitome of “I must go now, my people need me”
Poochie died on the way back to his home planet
No time to explain...😮
That Strand Dive transition from Dreaming City to Neomuna was slick :)
ty!
facts!!
I rewinded to watch it in slow mo haha

2 hours ago, and I already find 4 people trying this in the exact same spot when I first log in
Same I found a bunch of people in the EDZ
When I get off work that's gonna be me for the next hours
try as i might, could not get this, ill just stick with shatter diving.
I kinda understood the movement until you mentioned d1 tower vault. Brought back too many memories in that clip haha
Thats the first thing i thought of
HI NIKO
My dad bet me $20 I couldn't do that, back when I was 14. I was $20 richer 5 minutes later
The simple visual demonstration of the difference a vortex frame makes was SUPER helpful. I've seen so many people say it goes faster/further but nobody show a real comparison like that. 👍
He forgot to mention that the vortex frame uses ammo but the adaptive frame doesn't if done correctly
@@navster100the timing is very very slim but if you time it just right you actually won't lose ammo when doing it on a vortex frame. I did some messing around with it today.
@@navster100 Vortex frame also doesn't use ammo if done correctly
@@navster100vortex frame does not use ammo while normally skating, idk if this does
@@firestrike5478 What are the timings for it? I have a macro with the old Eager Edge swords and it works fine, no ammo used, but I can't get it to work with the Guillotine....
feel like I’m gonna get banned mid surf
You think this could get you banned?
You can’t, unless you’re editing the game or using external software to give you an advantage, you’re good.
You should be. No fun allowed in Destiny 2. Official Destiny 2 Anti-Fun Patrol. You've been reported and blacklisted. >:[
@@abyssalchaos556wrong, you can hit barriers in game in out of bounds that will trigger an error code that gets you banned. Typically this is to prevent wallclippers but if you manage to reach it you can get banned
Lmao 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cries in titan
No joke when you said start spamming jump I thought "huh, kinda like how you used to get on top of the vaults in d1", and not even 30 seconds later XD. thanks for the info!
aegis is probably already cooking
This is not new (ruclips.net/video/FRvvRukUC2I/видео.html) and it has limited use in runs (both in setup/incline and application), but it is pretty cool to pull off and fun to do
@@TheAegisRelic ...were.. you just summoned?
Yeah i realized after i posted that it wasn't new from a couple people lol. I knew the concept of surfing has been around a while but im still very happy with the video :)
@@insanegamer3003 you should be, so many people chillin in the edz learning this rn
@@insanegamer3003 You should change the clickbait title then!
I love when I’m just scrolling through RUclips and see some awesome new things like this for me to try and learn!!! Awesome explanation.
Even if this is not technically “new” this is the first I am hearing of it and you explained it perfectly, helped me to do it within a few tries and it made me very happy so thank you Mr
The only thing that will pull me back into Destiny the damn movement tech
same im buying dlcs now
😭
Always been a fan of movement techs and in general. You did a great job of finding this tech and giving me nostalgia of d1 for the jump on top of the vault glitch. Keep up the work :D.
I learned about this months ago, good job finding a consistent method for initiating the slide!
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing!
**slowly turns towards my slammer with quantum intent**
The moment I saw that strand dive transition, I knew that this is a quality video.
Which it is.
Great video.
This glitch is not really new, been around for a while, but it's not been widely known for some reason...
I really like how you explain it and the variety of examples you show.
Also seems much easier to pull with the new vortex frames, so it's cool. :3
I managed to do this quite a bit when I was trying to figure out how Strand skating worked and if Flatground was possible but could never do it consistently, Super nice someone noticed it could be done and used when wanted.
This video is honestly so well-made. The explanations are clear and the visuals are really helpful. Comparison between the adaptive and vortex frames is a great addition too.
Thank you! I'm glad it made sense
Made zero sense. Two hours trying haven’t got it complete once
Nice montage!
That clean ass transition at the start earned a sub
That and also cuz I like the content
Always love learning more movement tech. Hell yea
super well structured vid with detailed instructions. nice vid
Thought this would be talking about the ground skate where you do the light + heavy combo really close to the ground, but nope this is straight up "new" tech.
Thanks for sharing this! I can't wait to learn it!
Awesome! Now Im going to try this. Theres an area where I have found but havent seen in any videos yet. So Hope this new type of skating will get me there. 😆😁
Love movement tech. Thanks I’ve learn something new.
Finally. all my time learning how to strand skate will become useful
Man, insta sub after seeing that Dive transition, slick af
This has been known for quite a while and is used in one of the beyond light mission speedruns. It was also used briefly in wish before DSM was allowed. People call it debris tech or ring 1 tech in the speedrun community
Ring 1 tech😂
@@Isaac-uk8rv ☝🤓
@@kij4na cheers for this
@@Isaac-uk8rv I preferred your original comment 😼
@@kij4na I didn’t do anything wrong
Amazing! can't wait to learn it!
That's 🔥 I can't wait to try this, and 🤔 I did go there in Destiny 1. Thanks for the guide. Respectfully, Javodka
Thanks so much for this! I wasn't aware of this tech.
Tho i have some trouble strand skating tbh, ive been shatter skating for a long time now, but for some reason i cant get strand to work.
This reminds me of the barrier surf in the moth yards, except you can do this anywhere
The fact that before he included the d1 segment, I thought of that exact spam jumping glitch to the vault aswell…
Watching this vid whilst playing onslaught, swapped to stasis and an eager sword and pulled of the air skate 6th try, great vid, this finna revolutionise speedruning
The D1 vault throwback was appreciated
I loved the opening, subbed!
Truly an insane gamer moment. Ty for the explanation
shatter skate changed the way i played destiny
I'm sure this will have a similar effect, thanks for the video
Dropped a sub simply for that intro transition
I had a friend show me air skating a year or so ago, but it was pushed aside for speedruns because it was too inconsistent. Now with the consistency from strand and the new swords I'm hoping it can find its place in some runs!
Wow. Great video! Well done. The dive edit at the beginning was uselessly cool
Ty!
Great video and super fun tech explained simply
I love how you showed it with shatterskate and not just strand skating
Awesome video, bro! After some practicing, it works really good. Thank you!
Yeah of course! And ty :)
@@insanegamer3003 BTW, how did you get to the top of that building in the Dreaming City? I tried to go there, but couldn't figure it out
@naskosokurov1815 Last Wish raid.
The dance after landing gets me every time. lol
Nicely done! Have a sub!
I love the rocket skating with strand, lol. flying across the map
Definitely learning this before final shape
Nah that comparison to d1 tower made all the neurons in my brain connect, it all came full circle
Great that this videos gaining traction and more people are finding out about this but how is this “new tech” this has been around for years
3:20 now that's a memory I didn't remember I had.
Airsurf to the infinity pools
very good explained pls more of it:)
The cut in the Beginning man 🔥
Wow! Insta subbed!! I gotta try to learn this. A friend showed me a video of some players zipping through the new Whisper mission in less than 3 minutes, They had to be using something like this. At least it looked like it. It almost looks IMPOSSIBLE, (for me) but with a lot of practice maybe I can do this too, (if old dogs can learn new tricks).
Dude when you brought up the inputs for D1 vaults it clicked with me LOL
This is actually very similar to some old movement techs in Overwatch! You can use Brigitte’s bash or Doomfist’s punch to hit an angled ledge (like a rock) and it’ll send you diagonally with a lot of speed. Can help get you to normally less accessible places, very cool!
Another good trainit spot i found is if you have a Shuro chi checkpoint, next to the big rock you'd climb to get the solo raid chest theres a really nice spot to do it and try to get up above the bridge
Just started watching but this is amazing
super cool find! i cant wait to explore further OOB
The other half and half truths from dares can also roll with eager edge
This has been in the game for a few months, but still really cool vid!
I subscribed because of the Transition ❤😊
With strandskating if you’re having trouble getting it, try not holding forward on roller
I hit that like button as soon as I hear the Moon Theme
This was incredibly easy to do no doubt due to your explanation.
These transitions are insane
Oh! So that's the tech that allowed us on top of the D1 Tower Vaults! I never knew the name!
Ima start learning this right away
Thank you king now I must practice on that
"Most of you can probably well or shatter skate" lmao bro. That's like 5% of the entire community at best
Lets not talk about bubble skating, like 4 people can manage to pull it off and 0 people can do it consistently even with macros
Not to mention it eats your super@@lucienmoolman8017
it's 3 inputs. Not very difficult on controller, and probably easier on PC where you can set a macro
@@looksnormalon controller it isn't hard at all, aside from maybe the slammer since it has very tight timings
go into an average kwtd lfg at least one person can probably skate
Good video. I whis destiny have the same jumping and momentum mechanism as quake 3 arena. You could bounce off walls by rocket splash or straight up rocket jump of in so many ways it was insane
Bro really thought he could fly hack without us noticing, lowkey super cool tech
for those wondering "what is the strand sword???" it has permeability.
Grenade changes the type? Makes more sense. Thanks.
literally earned a like just based on that intro music. i am a simple man. i hear 8 bit music and i like.
A dream comes true
Dash on flat surfaces❤
Nice video man :)
4:21 You legit recreated that one jump Master Chief makes in the last mission on Halo 4
This seems pretty easy to learn. I still need to practice my shatter and well skating lol, I’m pretty bad at the timing on both of them
I think the best part about this, is that this tech has been KNOWN for at least 2 years. I remember doing this at Mothyards YEARS ago.
Thanks homie. Going to put the fear of god into Nezarec.
I did this once long ago and thought it was some random bug but im glad we have ways to replicate it
6:26 talks about which swords work best.
Sick transition on the dive
ty!
I wish titans could skate reliably somehow 😢
(Bubble skating is a thing but it uses the bubble)
You have an impressive transition skills
ty!
hope d2 dont patch it, movement tech in this game is kinda the reason im playin this
They won’t, air surfing has been around for years now. If they were going to patch it they would have by now, they’ve only nerfed it so far.
tbh i dont think they know how half the movement and sparrow tech works. its just does and bungie went, well ok then, its not nuking bosses or crashing peoples games so it is what it is
if only they kept grapple flying 😭
Weird reason to play something but ok
@@hhaste ok.......
Hunters are finally the most mobile class!
that vault thing from destiny 1 was a refreshing blast from the past. oh how our glitches then were innocent
Look where we are now
Glad this video blew up. Well deserved man!
i remember surfing to the d1 vaults
that will be INSANE when we have doble eager edge
and now is time to practice this
tf is double eager edge
Loved the video! I know how to shatter and well skate. I just don't know how to strand skate. It would have been nice to see that broken down a bit further than "heavy then dive". But thanks for the info!
There's a video in the pinned comment on this video that should help!
@@insanegamer3003 thank you!
I have no problem shatterskating on stasis. But trying to shatterskate on strand didn't work well for me last time I tried. Now with a new tech, hopefully I can learn it
Yo, epic new tech!
I'm trying to learn it but i'm noti sure what i'm doing wrong.
Could you uplaod a Video where you show your Inputs.
Thanks!
this vid seems more about time filler for YT contennt and monetization
now imagine strand air surfing and then using heat rises or just having well of radiance to pair and do both when the final shape drops 😭
Ive experienced this personally a few years ago when well skating, i never thought to try it again to see if it was repeatable, now people will believe me lol
