From a short-kinky crown to a shoulder-length style, THIS is a living work of art. It's only after you indulge in haircare at a salon that you realise how long and healthy your hair can be 🤩. BEAU-TI-FUL!
Getting rid of your dead ends also helps with length retention. Dead ends just keep breaking off. You need retention for length. Your hair constantly grows, but if you don’t have retention, then you don’t see that growth
My daughters hair when it was shorter was just like this, very dense. Her hair has grown sooooo much and her hair is getting so much easier to manage. I just kept it stretched & blow dried, now she's a teen so I flat iron it.
I don’t have 4c curl pattern but my hair is SUPER thick and densely packed 4a-4b curls. It’s mid-back in length and it tangles and knots very easily. I’m loving the fact that you separated her hair in sections. I’m so terrified of stylists now because too many have just tried to blow dry my hair without sectioning it and I can feel and hear it snapping off. I say something to them and they have had the audacity to say that they’ve been doing hair for years. Only thing I say is that they haven’t been doing MY hair for years and they don’t know what they are doing to not section it off. Been 2 years now because of this happening with multiple stylists in different salons.
The same thing happened to me. I have long thick 4b-c and went to a salon to give myself a break. She was brushing and blow drying at random, pulling through snags, snapping off hair, etc. I stopped her and told her she has to section, detangle each section, and blow dry. She said the quote she gave me did not include that. I left and haven't been back to a stylist since. You'd think it would be common sense, but she was the second stylist I've been to that doesn't know how to detangle and blow dry.
Sooo pretty! I'm getting my first silk press of the year tomorrow and I can't wait to see whether my type 4 fine natural hair has benefitted from all the hard work that I put into it lately. Your hair looks absolutely gorgeous by the way - so nice full and healthy! 😍
i just scheduled my first silk press tomorrow. i really hope i get a good outcome with my hair due to my trying relentlessly to restore it back to health
For me abstaining from heat helped me the most to grow my natural hair out. When I was 16 a professional hairstylist straightened my hair every 2-3 month and it damaged my hair so much. So I think that wearing your hair natural helps you the most to have healthy long coils, curls or waves🙏🏾
Not always. 4C hair can get to point where it's so dry it starts to break off. I started getting silk presses again in-between conditioning treatments and my hair is healthier now.
Non vous avez tort ma famille et moi utilisons le fer tout les 2-3 fois par mois après chaque lavage et nos cheveux sont en très bonne santé et long il suffit de prendre soin et hydrater
I am so happy to have found your channel. I am a grannie and I don’t like grannie curls! New subbie here. I do my own hair and I’m natural for 12 years.
I am a “granny” 10 times over and I don’t like tight curls either. If the truth be told 98% of the grannies I know wear their hair natural or loose silk press curls. Because of this channel I am not afraid of heat styling anymore. This young lady does a beautiful job with all of her clients. She is an excellent teacher.
Love the silk press one 4C hair and cut. But, if you have 4C hair that burns easily would you recommend a different heat setting for the flat iron? Having 4C hair with length takes a lot of time and patience. Kutos.
Hello Shell, I appreciate your informative content. Would you say the blow dryer with nozzle and brush using tension method is better on the health of the hair strands than a two in one blow dryer brush tool, such as the Revlon 2 in 1?
Did you put any products in her hair, directly after washing and conditioning it? Meaning, are you detangling her hair with any products in it? Thank you!
Hi good day, I have hair like hers but I sweat a lot in my head. What do you recommend to keep the silk press long lasting ? Because I am very interested in trying a silk press.
Hi 👋 you mentioned you were going to tell us the name of product and brand you are using. Can you pls tell me where I can find that information. I don't see it listed anywhere.
I'm noticing that nobody is first going in and doing a blowout with a round brush to get the hair ready to be straightened. It's either a paddle brush or a blow dryer attachment. Is it not good to do a round brush first?
I swear I love your channel!!! Just what I needed!!! Side note: this video gave me life okayyy lol if this isn’t my hair texture to the tee!! I understand what I am doing wrong! Keep coming with the videos sis!!
Ba-ba-lyss…..girl I swear if I weren’t in a barber school that was particular about the brands I’d still be saying Baby-less. Lol Ty for the tips on the trim. Couldn’t understand why one client keeps frizzing at the ends, but I figured it was the damage. Now I’ll push that cut. ❤❤❤❤🎉
My daughter has thick 4c hair. I try to straighten it but it just looks like a nice blow dry. She wants it to be thin and bouncy but it’s just too much hair. Any suggestions?
I definitely struggle with products I can use at home that will keep my hair straight for longer than a few hours. My hair is super coarse, kinky, and dry
Gorgeous hair! 💕 I’m curious to know how does one wrap this at night. Would you lose the curls since you’re wrapping it or do you have to apply heat throughout the 2-3 weeks?
I give a lot of information away for free on my channel. But I also have a course that tells what products I used because I’ve spent a lot of money on courses and 1 on 1s to perfect my silk presses.

Wow. Shrinkage is very real. What a difference.

Learn to do your own hair then. Saves you tons of money.
Or go to a better salon bc black owned businesses should never be attempting that

My daughter's hair is just like this. I need to get some good tools to use. Beautiful job!
Thank you!! First time I have ever been able to get my hair silky.
What did you use to prep the hair?
Shampoo conditioner and heat protectant?
I came here for that and didn’t get any
I can’t find it but what makes this a silk press? What products should I use? Thanks for the video.
Not a silk press. This was a flat iron. And her hair was cut too much from someone that doesn’t really know how to cut hair.
I'll be getting a silk press for the holiday as a Christmas gift and I look forward to it it's the first time I'm getting one

Wow what a transformation! Beautiful
Your clients hair looks gorgeous!
That density is crazy! I have 4b/c hair but not that much of it. Great job!
Thank you for keeping your videos short and to the point.
Beautiful thick hair. 😍

Her hair Looks Beautiful 😍 ❤
You did so good! It looks beautiful!❤
You did such an excellent job!!!🤩
Thanks for the detail instruction my hair is like this and I struggle with silk presses
Same thing I learned in school Sis. My teacher always said “Section for Success!”
Hi! What temmpetarure do you recommend for a silk press 😁👍🏾
Came out beautifully!
"control the hair, don't let it control you" that's WZUP! some folks don't understand that.

2 in 1?
Gorgeous!! Great Job Shell!
I really love the result!
Really can't wait to get mine
Thanks for the video
Please what product did you use

Im definitely gojng to be purchasing your silk press course soon!
Omg it look so smooth and nice !!! I learned . Thanks for sharing
Hi good day, I have hair like hers but I sweat a lot in my head. What do you recommend to keep the silk press long lasting ? Because I am very interested in trying a silk press.
Beautiful results! My hair is like this too I can’t wait to get my blowout 😊
Hi 👋 you mentioned you were going to tell us the name of product and brand you are using. Can you pls tell me where I can find that information. I don't see it listed anywhere.
Hey, The tools are located in my Amazon store that’s linked. For specific products my course is linked as well.
I'm noticing that nobody is first going in and doing a blowout with a round brush to get the hair ready to be straightened. It's either a paddle brush or a blow dryer attachment. Is it not good to do a round brush first?
Round brushing is great but tbh as a hairstylist that only does natural hair… I’d have carpal tunnel by the end of the week lol
I'm a 4c .. I blow dried my hair with Blow dryer comb abd my hair puffs up again.
I swear I love your channel!!! Just what I needed!!!
Side note: this video gave me life okayyy lol if this isn’t my hair texture to the tee!! I understand what I am doing wrong! Keep coming with the videos sis!!

Magnifique 😍😍😍😍Je vous visionné depuis la France ❤️
What products did you use?
How long will this last, because my hair as soon as I sweat it reverts back?
My daughter has thick 4c hair. I try to straighten it but it just looks like a nice blow dry. She wants it to be thin and bouncy but it’s just too much hair. Any suggestions?
Beautiful Job. Awesome... Very Talented. Love It!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊✌🏼✌🏼 God Bless You Always!!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
How can I do like this??
Beautiful finish! What did you prep her hair with?
Kendra shampoo and conditioner.
You did a great job!
Just beautiful!👸🏾Tymo has been on sale, there are so many to choose from, and I don’t know one from the other. Will it curl, even slightly?
What state and city are you located?
You did a wonderful job.
Can you also let us know what products you used. Or use now
I’m not a hair stylist but why not use a hot comb for a silk press?
Did you add any hair product before straightening it out? Like hair pomade or wax?
Please do a video on growing out a twa
You did a spectacular job!!! Great description. How do you still keep it workable when you sleep 💤
PLEASE tell us how to wrap a silk press like that at night! I keep losing my curls after night 1 or 2😅
I want to know what rod it’s where used … like heat protector or something to help straighten, thank you
I never stop being amazed at the shapeshifting qualities of that kind of hair. Wow.
You did that!...not sure where your located but I wish you were in Texas
Ladies question my daughter gets a silk press and it looks amazing for teo days after that it becomes frizzy why???
Excellent job! This turned out beautiful!
My daughter's hair is super super thick and I am in beginning stages of "arthritis" can I braid the sections and let her dry overnight?
I wouldn’t recommend that. Leaving the hair wet can cause fungus to grow on the scalp.
I definitely struggle with products I can use at home that will keep my hair straight for longer than a few hours. My hair is super coarse, kinky, and dry
what kind of flat iron do you recommend?
I want to do this so bad but it messed up my density and curl pattern.
Is there any way to avoid destroying my tight coil hair?
Did you put any products in before blow drying?
Thanks
Beautiful work🎉
Where did you get you cape from plz and ☺️ thank you
How do you fix it when going to sleep. That way you still have does curls when you wake up in the morning?
What did you moisturize her hair with
She is not responding 😒
You didn’t show or say what product you used!
I promise I didn’t hear nothing on no product either & that’s what I was watching for oh well let me keep searching
And i will try it on my hair and my daughters hair😊
So no product? Also is silk press simply a flat iron?
Please what spray do u use to make that hair curly
Gorgeous hair! 💕 I’m curious to know how does one wrap this at night. Would you lose the curls since you’re wrapping it or do you have to apply heat throughout the 2-3 weeks?
Wrapping it will loosen the curls but she can do pin curls to keep the curls. And no additional heat was used.
Do you do hair in nyc? 😩😩😩 I need you to bless my scalp
I don’t 😕 I’m in Wisconsin
@@shelltalkshairI’m im Chicago. What part of Wisconsin? I’m Looking for an experienced and patient natural hairstylist !
The shrinkage be so real my hair does the same thing
Beautiful job ! ❤
Hi how do you keep the nape of the hair from getting wet in the shower.
Wait all this was was a flat iron. I thought a silk press were specific products during the wash and like a steam first. Where’s the “silk” part?
no one tells you where to get the products like it is a big secret
I give a lot of information away for free on my channel. But I also have a course that tells what products I used because I’ve spent a lot of money on courses and 1 on 1s to perfect my silk presses.
There’s a million on the shelf products to use they gives u good results there’s not only one specific thing. Just look around and experiment
Can you please share which products you used?
Yes pls
Im in need of this product plzz where can i find some..
Very helpful please keep up the amazing work I’m subscribing nowwww omgggggg I paid $85 for this
Uhmm does stretching (using a flat iron) cause heat damage?
Does it damage natural hair
yeah
Which straighteners are these?
Where can i do silk press around Joburg
Very good through video. Thank you
Beautiful!
Where did you get that brush?
About what temperature are you using with the straightener?
She said she set it to 430 since the client’s hair is not heat trained.
Boa noite a onde posso encontrar este produto
Where can I find this brush
so i won’t need heat protections ??
What a miracle
How long can she carry this hair for?
Simply beautiful ❤
