My guess with Kong is that they may have delayed releasing a Kong with beast glove because of the Skull Island Kong. It would be a bit odd to release 2 Kong's at the same time, could lead to some confusion. Also means many customers would have to pick between the 2, whereas if they space it out then those customers may buy both. The lack of Skar King may be again so that people aren't picking which GxK figures to get, but may have time to get all of them. No clue why the release dates are all over the place though.

I pre ordered the sh monsterarts 2024 Kong. And also pre ordered Shimo and Evolved Godzilla. Really wish he had the beast glove but it was almost out. I really need Skar king too. If the hiya Kong is better than sh monster arts than idk what I’m going to do.

@@CepiTheNomad there’s a lot of controversy over the sh monster arts Kong but it’s really not that bad my only complaint is the blue on the ax. It’s not as blue as Godzillas beam but that’s really it. Hiya Kong and Skar king probably will come out in the middle of 2025. I have to wait until January for Godzilla so I’m not complaining. Hiya is under alot of pressure so I don’t blame them and think they should take their time. More time = better figures.

I’m guessing kong and skar king will come out in Q1 or Q2 of 2025 Simply because A. Skar king is a new mold and his hands and whip are probably taking the longest for them (most likely the whip) B. Kong needs a longer beard so they are figure that thing out for the articulation, and the beast glove is probably the hardest part for them, maybe because they wanna make it look good and still articulate? Or how they can give Kong separate hands that don’t look out of place? But that’s my guess
I assume the reason we haven't gotten a look at Kong with B.E.A.S.T. Glove or Scar King is due to how they would make the glove and whipslash. Will they make parts of the glove move? If they do, what kind of joints would be used? If the whipslash is articulated, will it be a bendy wire or joints? Will Scar King be the same height or smaller than Kong? Im sure Hiya is taking their time making them. On a side note, I have been waiting for Mothra from BBTS for a year now, and still no updates 😭

On Amazon, and Entertainment Earth Re-Evolved Godzilla release date is in July while BigBadToyStore has it in June. 2014 Godzilla is gonna be released sometime in July-August
my guess is that Warner Bros last minute changing of the release date after it had been scheduled to come out on April 12 for nearly a year, messed up Hiya's announcement schedule for the GxK figures and forced Hiya to shuffle around release dates and figure announcements for any of the figures related to that movie. That probably had a knock on effect with KSI Kong and GxK Kong since Kong is already not as big a seller as Godzilla when it comes to action figures so releasing two very similar figures at the same time would have cannabilized sales. So Hiya is probably waiting for KSI Kong to be out for a bit before announcing GxK Kong to encourage people to get both figures.
Well first off they are a pretty small company that is trying to catch up with their exponential growth in demand. So thats why they only announced shimo and evolved godzilla. (And they picked those two because godzilla merchandise sells leaps and bounds better than kongs) But they also want figures that can capitalize off the fresh hype of the movie, and those two new figures will take too long to release (Q4 2024). So the easiest solution is to rerelease a godzilla (rre-evovled). And I personally think tehy pushed up kongs (2017) release so he could capitalize off of the GxK hype and satisfy some of that desire for kong without making a whole new sculpt. It is also my theory that because of them pushing kong up, the muto got pushed back.
I don't claim to know anything legit, but knowing what I know about HIYA TOYS and the toy business in general I can say that it's not a licensing issue if they're still making and selling other characters from the same film. My guess would be what another commenter here has already said - IT would be too close to the SKULL ISLAND Kong's release, but more importantly, I think that at $50 a pop, they're trying to stagger their releases and factory work load as to not over-extend fans' wallets. But even if THAT isn't a concern then it's the fact that they're waiting closer to the film's release to have very closer to final or actual FINAL designs to make products from unlike a lot of other domestic figures that start earlier since it take a full year to produce figures from start to finish.
I've got a bit of a conspiracy, but I think kong in particular was pushed up because of the poor reception the GvK one had, they wanted to see how people liked the new mold before moving up to GxK Kong, and make any changes based on feedback before the announcement
Yeah hiya is definitely great when it comes to listening to fans, so I don’t think they’re holding out. Must be something complicated behind the scenes
NECA didn't always hit release date marks when they had the Godzilla and Pacific Rim licenses and it was usually due to delays at the manufacturing level and the shipping of product out of China. The manufacture of tooling to make the figs, may also play a part in these delays. Hiya appear to be sticklers for film accuracy and quality control. Add to that Toho and Legendary have to approve the final product before it ships...All of those factors take time. Consider that there's a world of difference between displaying prototypes or partial sculpts in promo pics and the engineered final product arriving at Diamond Previews (who are Hiya's exclusive North America's distributor) and from there, to online sellers and into comic book stores. We need to be patient, trust me on this. I live in Canada and there's at least a two to three week delay after Hiya's figures show up stateside and when they show up here.
Why do basically all the hiya toys have none in stock it’s really annoying and I can’t buy the figures as a new collector. eg, I wanted to get into collecting MV figures so I watched videos and found out the skull Devil was a figure, and I wanted it bad but for the past like 2 months that I’ve checked on it to see if any are in stock it’s still got none, also I wanted a actual Godzilla and yet all of them except the evolved version are out of stock and it comes out in oct-dec can anyone elaborate why this is?
It’s gotta be licensing I think the Walmart toys also had some issues with licensing. That’s why you see a lot of movie toys be released at weird times cuz of the licensing

But when I looked back at the site, it’s already set up for preordering until its release on June 2024. The one I ordered is scheduled for March for this year.
There probably trying to make a lot of them so that they don’t sell out so fast, because when they started they didn’t make a lot, probably why they were so cheap and gone within a werk
Hiya doesnt tend to showcase or talk about their products they just show it when its finally ready for pre orders with this said ı think those other figures are in development and will be made perfectly rather than previous 2 evolved godzilla and shimo has differences from movie versions due to getting license early ı assume ı also thınk scar king and kong figure gonna have many accesories even mini articulated figures like doug or suko and its hard to make a figure articulated that is small
another issue ı can think is that they had license for godzilla so evolved godzilla wasnt a issue but maybe theyre lacking license of skar king doug and suko theres a possibility they werent able to afford it

Im not quite sure when shimo is coming out I pre ordered it on another website and it says 2024 feb but on hiya is says 2024Q4 I have no clue whats going on
Some websites like BBTS have to wait for the US release which is usually months after it releases in China. However there are some sites that will ship here from China so you can order from those.
Bruh I’ve been wondering the same thing! I’ve literally been waiting for a 6 inch Female Muto ever since G-2014 came out, missed that one Bandai figure, found out that Hiya was making one about 6 months after it was just announced, been looking at on their website for another month and she *still* isn’t even available for Pre-Order on Amazon! I desperately need Hiya to be more active when it comes to the updates of the releases of these figures.
I’m also curious what’s going on. Also I’m new to collecting hiya Godzilla toys where do y’all get ones that are sold out online is eBay the only place (I really want burning Godzilla, skull island Kong , the skull devil, and rodan.)
I know a lot of places are sold out but I will keep an eye out on other stores for you and let you know if I find any. The good thing is they’re often doing repaints. I think you can still get skull island Kong at kowkis toys
Gotta be a licensing issue if I had to guess. It sucks bt we just gotta wait. Lack of communication is weird too. Seems they would at least hint or address the issue on social medias
I’m mostly just waiting for the Mechagodzilla 2021 announcement. I’ve got a Skull Devil on the way, and hoping the MUTO ships out sooner rather than later.
Okay so from what I understand, HIYA is waiting on Kong specifically because they don't have the 3d renders yet unlike Godzilla. Call it lazy, call it accurate, but Godzilla 2019-2021 and the first half of GvK all use the same model, which is good because it shows consistency within the continuity AND it lets companies like HIYA and Tamashii release the same mold over and over and still have it be accurate. Despite HIYA having the 3D renders for most of the titans, it looks like they still don't have them for Kong yet, as both the Gvk and K:SI Kong's arent 1/1 screen accurate. Now I have no clue why they would not have those files yet as it looks like they do for Shimo, and MAYBE Godzilla Evolved (That one doesn't look 100% 1/1 and there were rumours of it being an original sculpt much like what Tamashii does from time to time) but since this has been a thing since 2021 I assume its a "King Kong vs Kong" merchandise and likeness issue. Legendary may be prohibited from sharing those files. Thats just my logical theory however, I could be totally off.
Hiya Toys is short on staff and Bigbadtoystore ALWAYS delays the release of their figures. I remember an SHMA at Bigbadtoystore released like a year after it originally was supposed to
The most likely scenario in my mind is an issue with manufacturing. Widespread QC issues, schedule mix-ups, delays on the injection molds being finalized, something along those lines.
They probably haven’t made the Kong or announced it or anything because they’re not even done with the 2021 mold and usually when they finish one version of a kaiju, they do the next version like what they did with the 2019 and 2021 Godzilla and they finished the 2017 Kong so they probably were working on the Kong 2021 VER I think the 2021 Kong got pushed back or something but my guess is when they’re done with the 2021 Kong and they released it they will make the beast glove or they will stop working on the 2021 version and then they will release the beast glove and then release 2021 version
They’re just on a delay in terms of receiving a lot of hiyas products, Ik that my skullcrawler took forever and when I contacted them and ask what was going on I was told they were having delays receiving things from customs

Well, I had Hiya Ghidorah on preorder from BBTS for a while, last month got sick of waiting and ordered him off kowkis and he should be here very soon he finally arrived in the states not too long ago. But BBTS literally just got that mf in stock, I'd def say it's them wanting to take their time on these newer figures like Skar and Kong is why we haven't seen them yet. Hopefully they won't get leaked before an official reveal.
They’d make bank if they done The titans that were in KoTM. With literally 0 figures of em and since a lot became Fan favourites from their little screen time. Like Behemoth, Scylla and Methuselah.

What Godzilla figure do you reckon I should get, the Evolved or the Rre-Evolved? I’m personally really stuck on what would be the better option as i’m very fond of both designs
I know this is a cop-out answer but it depends, if you want a solid, more typical, and possibly definitive version of Godzilla, probably Rre-Evolved. But if you are looking for something more rare and unique, can't go wrong with this interesting new design! Just have to wait longer

I’m confused that there’s such a delay in getting toys out for Godzilla X Kong given that the movie is basically one big toy commercial

another issue ı can think is that they had license for godzilla so evolved godzilla wasnt a issue but maybe theyre lacking license of skar king doug and suko theres a possibility they werent able to afford it

Some websites like BBTS have to wait for the US release which is usually months after it releases in China. However there are some sites that will ship here from China so you can order from those.

I’ve literally been waiting for a 6 inch Female Muto ever since G-2014 came out, missed that one Bandai figure, found out that Hiya was making one about 6 months after it was just announced, been looking at on their website for another month and she *still* isn’t even available for Pre-Order on Amazon!
I desperately need Hiya to be more active when it comes to the updates of the releases of these figures.
I’m also curious what’s going on. Also I’m new to collecting hiya Godzilla toys where do y’all get ones that are sold out online is eBay the only place (I really want burning Godzilla, skull island Kong , the skull devil, and rodan.)
I know a lot of places are sold out but I will keep an eye out on other stores for you and let you know if I find any. The good thing is they’re often doing repaints. I think you can still get skull island Kong at kowkis toys

Okay so from what I understand, HIYA is waiting on Kong specifically because they don't have the 3d renders yet unlike Godzilla. Call it lazy, call it accurate, but Godzilla 2019-2021 and the first half of GvK all use the same model, which is good because it shows consistency within the continuity AND it lets companies like HIYA and Tamashii release the same mold over and over and still have it be accurate. Despite HIYA having the 3D renders for most of the titans, it looks like they still don't have them for Kong yet, as both the Gvk and K:SI Kong's arent 1/1 screen accurate. Now I have no clue why they would not have those files yet as it looks like they do for Shimo, and MAYBE Godzilla Evolved (That one doesn't look 100% 1/1 and there were rumours of it being an original sculpt much like what Tamashii does from time to time) but since this has been a thing since 2021 I assume its a "King Kong vs Kong" merchandise and likeness issue. Legendary may be prohibited from sharing those files. Thats just my logical theory however, I could be totally off.
Hiya Toys is short on staff and Bigbadtoystore ALWAYS delays the release of their figures. I remember an SHMA at Bigbadtoystore released like a year after it originally was supposed to

The most likely scenario in my mind is an issue with manufacturing. Widespread QC issues, schedule mix-ups, delays on the injection molds being finalized, something along those lines.

They probably haven’t made the Kong or announced it or anything because they’re not even done with the 2021 mold and usually when they finish one version of a kaiju, they do the next version like what they did with the 2019 and 2021 Godzilla and they finished the 2017 Kong so they probably were working on the Kong 2021 VER I think the 2021 Kong got pushed back or something but my guess is when they’re done with the 2021 Kong and they released it they will make the beast glove or they will stop working on the 2021 version and then they will release the beast glove and then release 2021 version

Well, I had Hiya Ghidorah on preorder from BBTS for a while, last month got sick of waiting and ordered him off kowkis and he should be here very soon he finally arrived in the states not too long ago. But BBTS literally just got that mf in stock, I'd def say it's them wanting to take their time on these newer figures like Skar and Kong is why we haven't seen them yet. Hopefully they won't get leaked before an official reveal.

I know this is a cop-out answer but it depends, if you want a solid, more typical, and possibly definitive version of Godzilla, probably Rre-Evolved. But if you are looking for something more rare and unique, can't go wrong with this interesting new design! Just have to wait longer
