For those of us who do not have mode 3 with basting on our BSR, we could just set our stitch length to the longest length or to 4-6mm. Don’t forget to set it back to 2.5 or whatever.
I JUST ordered a Bernina 770 QE Plus and was told by my dealer that you can’t do Euler work with the BSR. Based on that advice, I decided to order a Sew Steady Wish Table with the Hoke drilled to put the BSR underneath. Now I wonder why my dealer didn’t tell me about this foot? How long has it been out?
Peggy-First Congrats on getting a great machine. I invented these compatible attachments early in 2021 because Bernina would not. They want quilters to purchase their sitdown quilting machines. I have a 7 and 8 series Bernina and wanted to be able to quilt with them down in my very expensive cabinet. So after waiting 15 years, I went ahead and invented it myself. Your dealer should know about it as I was very thorough about getting info out to the Bernina dealers. We do have dozens of dealers across the country carrying these attachments. Also in Canada, the UK and Israel! You can't use every ruler because the bsr will not fit in the middle of some rulers, but I use tons of them! We have great support and I'm just now filming another segment on ruler work using the Bernina bsr that will air in January 2022. The clear table with the bsr underneath just didn't work for me. I didn't want the laser pointing into my eye! I didn't need another table. And, most importantly, I didn't want to have to move my quilt around, up and over another surface. I have a 4' x 5" cabinet and these attachments give me the best working environment. Hope that helps.
The footprint of the bsr does not allow for it to be used inside any rulers. But I do so much straight line quilting, curves, clamshells, circles and ovals, that it doesn't bother me.....
I just got a 475QE with the BSR add-on. I’m looking forward to learning more about it.

Where does someone get these attachments? My dealer knows nothing.
www.quiltingdelights.com And have your dealer reach out to us! We are making them available to dealers.
If I use this foot will it void my Bernina warranty?
No it will not.
Is this foot too big to allow for ruler work inside Amanda Murphy’s circles?
