It's a Bromance, what can I say 😅
U can absolutely dodge through attacks with s. It’s more in line with monster hunters dodging (as opposed to the dark souls style), but you can test it by practising against gunfire, beam attacks and large swipes. There is however a short cooldown/ stumble after the third consecutive dodge which can really fuck you up timing wise. While the s may not be as plentiful as hzd, especially with the dodge prowess skill, it just takes a bit more practise. as it does in monster hunter.
Yeah aloy has s on roll. Definitely not as much as zero dawn 👍🏽
i found that dodging away from leaping or charging machine attacks gets me killed so often. I found the hard way that diving towards the machine leaping or charged at an angle helps avoid the attack and creates distance too. Also.. spam the square slide like its crack. Its extremely useful and is almost like a second dodge, but allows you to keep being aggressive whilst being mobile.
Here's one:
1. Create a job/quest for your weapon/armour/pouch upgrade, so whenever you scan enemies- there's a sign that this enemies have one of your needed resources, or if you already encounter the enemies you can "go to Job and show on Map"
This way upgrading your Kit less frustrating.

So many great games so little time.
Starting this one on December 31st 2022 after it's sat on my hard drive collecting dust basically since launch date.
OMG i've been unaccesible chests behind, i didn't knew You can pull them with the grapple, lol, this is the only video i've seen that mentions it
For some reason when I change the weapon wheel speed to "slowest", it slows down the game, but also slows down my ability to select a weapon. I don't know if that's a bug, but it's frustrating and makes it really difficult to control. I ended up having to just leave the speed on "normal"
Loved the start! Love this game! Actually picked up a few really good tips here and I'm glad I know them now instead of 20 more hours (in game) from now!
Least I won't have to keep trying to jump for silly placed loot boxes when I could be pulling off ledges instead.

I wish games like these could scan your drive for the previous game and give you stuff accordingly - like upgraded pouches, instead of doing it all over again.
Na son some games like mass effect make sense but not this game and that's what new game plus is for

I get it your reading comprehension is basically non-existant, but that's a you problem.

Did they change the tripcaster so that you can't spread it out really far? Like a lot of times I'll use it and it will just fizzle out and I will have wasted a round, I can't just shoot one point shoot another point and it works like before. The two wire points seem to have to be very close together for it to work. Does that change with higher level trip casters? Or am I not using it correctly because they changed how it works in this sequel?
Also where can I get a regular Hunter bow that fires shock arrows?? Not the mini one.
Yeah I've found the trip wire to be very finicky. Sometimes it lets me make longer traps sometimes it doesn't.
They nerfed the traps for sure. You can't spread them out as far, can't place as many, and they won't stick to any terrain like before.
Wait you can pull those damn chests down? Holy shittttttttt, I just thought the developers was trolling with those hard to reach chests. I've been trying all crazy methods to get to chests too.
I keep having chest that are just below the ground, can't get them

Just for an up to date fact, the game has been through several patches so you CAN respect anytime you want now right from the skills menu.

How to switch weapon techniques?
When you've unlocked multiple for the same weapon, open the weapon wheel, select that weapon, left and right on the D pad switch between them.
Im so pissed about the valuables to sell thing. One of the loading screen tips said anything in the valuables section was always safe to sell. When i saw machine hearts in there i was a bit suspicious and kept them for a while then eventually sold them yesterday and only now i see this 😭

Some people swear dodging does have s in this game, but I think they're wrong. I'm almost never able to doge through any attack without getting hit.
Yeah I'm certain it doesn't. You have actually dodge the attack.
Remember sometimes its better to dodge forward towards certain enemy attacks to dodge (Scrappers, Longlegs, Clawstriders). Other times we dodge too early like the Sawtooths jump and delayed strike. I saw a video of Alloy sliding through ground electrical attacks. It may be a new mechanic to play with. It may work with other attacks as well.
