Apple Crumble - Easy recipe

Apple crumble recipe:
115g butter
115g sugar
175g plain flour
Filling:
2-3 bramley apples, cored and cut to your desired size
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Little water
In a pan add apples, cinnamon and water and simmer for about 5-7 mins.
In a bowl mix butter, flour and sugar, crumble with fingers.
In a ovenproof dish spoon the cooked Apples, then sprinkle the crumble mixture on top.
Bake in preheated oven 180C for 30 mins or until golden brown.
Serve with custard.

Tried this last night! I used ground oats and flour for the crumble and added some vanilla to the apple mixture. Hands down one of the best apple desserts I've made. Family loved this ❤️ thank you!

This is hands down the best recipe for Apple Crumble. I spent almost an hour browsing various recipes, and something about this one made me choose it-I don’t know if it’s the beautiful no-nonsense presentation or the fact that it ticks all the boxes of what a classic version of crumble looks like. You’ll get the job done in around 30 mins and the crumble layer on top is to die for !
So simple and not complicated with unnecessary additives.
Second time making this using this video, it’s amazing! So easy so affordable and so tasty!

This will be my 2nd time making it and lm tell u it was so good i picked most of the topping off then ate the bottom 😂 weird ik but i luv the crumble my fave part 😆🥰 i seen in the comments that a lady added rolled oats and vanilla, yeah im not into oats i think thats nasty but vanilla 🤔 thinking of trying any thoughts ?

Love this recipe! Surefire! I reduce the sugar for the crumble by 25% so it balances out with the sweet vanilla ice cream I eat this with ❤️

Great recipe loveee it! I did a few changes though ... I didn't cook the apples prior i just cut them in very small pieces so it only cooks in the oven and it works perfectly at 180 degrees for 40-45min and i added less sugar! I also seperated the crumble mixture half at the bottom of the apples and the other half at the top!
Did the crumble mix at the bottom half cook properly? I love crumble at the bottom too but normally just put a lot at the top and scoop to the bottom whilst serving before putting the main desert over it. How did cooking it at the bottom come out? I was afraid it would be guey if I did that
@@emerald7857 Yes it does! I put most of it like 65-70% of the crumble mixture at the bottom and pack it down very well to make a crust..and don't worry it cooks very well!
@@emerald7857 Also when you put the rest of the mixture on top pack it with your hand and then crumble it all over.. It makes a better crumble in the end otherwise it can come out not so crumbly
