Fab video as always. Even when things go very awry, you always move on in your commentary and try to get to the good stuff. Always good to acknowledge real issues happening, a six hour wait to get on board from plane, and the emergence of the Guest Relations disappointment - Can't wait to see the rest of our trip.

Lovely Singapour! What a downpour when you were there, but as you've been before you managed to keep your spirits up. It is a fascinating city. I do think that the cabin and certainly the bathroom on the Azamara is a bit disappointing - and given what is to come (I watched Ep 2 first..) I think you both did really well to enjoy your trip. Love the banter! I am looking forward to the rest of the episodes and hope everything settles down for you.

Yep similar experience for us joining QM2 in Dubai….flew from Heathrow..included taxi to port…had to wait 5 hours to board QM2…nightmare…cruise to the east for 15 days went swimmingly after that …Singapore was lovely..didn’t get to do gardens by the bay 🙄 but did have street food and a nice dinner by the bay watching ‘the water show’ (magical)until we had to disembark in Singapore……only thing we didn’t realise when disembarking was if you had any leftover alcohol or cigarettes in your handbags or suitcase these went through a scanner and if found they were confiscated OR you can choose to pay Singapore taxes on the items…bad

Love watching your blogs having just seen your Australian adventure on Azamara with a few hiccups I don’t think we would be quite so good natured about it especially as the ship docked so far away from the harbour in Sydney for the new year 🎉 I would have expected a better slot for an expensive ship like that and I couldn’t cope with the motion of the sea either however we’ve been on several cruises over the past 30 years and yet to find a fault with Marella discovery the last time we had a grand suite it really did have the WOW factor trouble is that it spoils you much prefer smaller ships which is why I was interested in Azamara but sorry to say wasn’t impressed keep doing what you’re doing the tips and info are soooo useful happy new year to you both xxxx

Great video, I have to say the cabin does look dull with just shades of grey. We were much luckier than you with our stop at Singapore as we had great weather for the 2 days that we were there. The gardens by the bay were superb, the cloud forest dome was suitably damp. On the 2nd day we did the long bar at Raffles for a couple of expensive but excellent Singapore Slings.

I watched your video & was shocked at your captain’s response to the horrible weather! I wonder if his attitude was rubbing off on the other senior level staff like Guest Relations? Because Captain Michael on the Pursuit was frequently spotted along Deck 5, talking to passengers, & also filming a daily briefing on the weather conditions. He & the Navigator spent countless hours plotting our course through the Drake Passage, & he avoided bad storms. I’m sorry your captain didn’t seem to care enough about his passengers to avoid that hurricane. @@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel

Re the requirement from Azamara to have the Covid test before embarkation, while it wasn't asked for at check-in in Singapore, I think it would still have given you the security of knowing if you did come down with the virus, would have been eligible for compensation from Azamara for the days in isolation, unless that has been changed recently.

Don't be so upset about waiting for the transfer. It is a common practice, but you just realized it when flying early on the day of embarkation. The company providing the service brings disembarking passengers to the airport first and then starts picking up passengers embarking. They usually tell you when you book the transfer.

We saw nothing but greyness & raindrops on the windows. I was so looking forward to seeing Buckingham palace & all the other sites including Big Ben but saw nothing!! Looking forward to following your adventures. From what you have shown so far, Azamara are not my definition of a luxury cruise. Your experience has sadly taught me that it is a big risk to book a “Bucket List” trip with a line that you’ve not tested previously with a shorter trip. Often we are advised to choose the itinerary, but I really like being in board, so for me, the ship is more important than the itinerary.
