I was part of the studio security team when Rylan was on X Factor. He was a genuinely nice descent human being. I'm glad he's got to the place he has
Aww that so sweet 💕
He comes across as so genuine witch people who want to be in the Tv industry need to learn from
have you heard what has happen with Katie Waissel Adrian . i guess you was working on the x factor back in 2010 because she is suing simon cowell sadly
Brilliant that
HOWS A GUY SCORING COCAINE STILL EMPLOYED
Ross is 100% bang on about depression. Not able to wash, watch TV, read, do anything. It's so hard to leave your safe space wherever that is. He is amazing and honest and so inspirational
My support worker sent me here because she saw it and said it reminded her so much of me. This is so spot on. I’ve been to the bottom and I’m on my way up. Learning to be alone is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do
Good luck on your way up 😊
Carly Ashcroft, I'm going to show this podcast and your post to my 15 year old daughter to show her that there's others going through the same as her. I hope you are still taking each day as it comes and taking however big a step you need for that particular day. Good luck for everything going forward and you take good care of yourself. Thank you x
Good luck and glad you actually have a decent support worker. I identify a lot with Rylan as well, he’s a very introspective person and sometimes they gets intense
@carlyashcroft1786 and your going straight back down

I have to say, Rylan wasn’t someone who I would have normally watched on these podcasts…but what a fascinating interview. It definitely changed my pre-conceived ideas on him. He came across as an intelligent, genuine person. Maybe more of these kind of guests wouldn’t be a bad idea 👍
I can honestly say I've never been a Rylan fan... until this! What a lovely man! 😘
Loved this, what a shinning light he is. He needs his own podcast. Totally opened my eyes to what a beautiful human he is . Small steps from being in a dark place and talking to yourself like a toddler is such a golden nugget piece of advice
I’ve been in a similar dark place and it’s true. I had to be so gentle with myself and would celebrate if I just got up and brushed my teeth or ate one small meal that day. Mental illness can be just as horrific as physical illnesses and sometimes they go hand in hand. Mental illness should always be taken seriously because if it’s not then at the worst it can result in the person taking their own life.
True, but unfortunately, he's a busy boy.
💯✌🏻🙏🏻
I was initially put off by his appearance on X Factor but he seems like such a genuine person and a natural presenter, I am glad he/ gotten to where he has in life. Hope he takes over This Morning.
I think he is a perfect choice to take over from Phil. No doubt about it
Love Rylan he’s so relatable and has no ego at all he’s such a beautiful soul this by far your best episode ❤
He has always seemed like a nice person, but until watching this, I never realised how well articulated and self aware he is. Truly an inspiration.
Amazing to think we discovered him off an X Factor audition. Lovely, lovely man and I just want the best in life for him
@@SobrietyandSolace ✨️ 🙏🏻 ✨️
A really great honest conversation. What a lovely genuine bloke. I love his take on treating people equal.
So proud to be a Rylan fan since day 1. He is a lovely man and soo talented 👏👏👏.!!!
Cannot believe that Rylan is absolutely the first person who has clearly described depression and recovery in a totally real and transparent manner. It represents how it was for me.
💯 Rylan has described symptoms of depression ,suicidal feelings & the daily struggle towards recovery in such a candid way.. this really resonates with me. I'm doing really well atmo but spent 20 yrs in a real battle. Thanks for your honesty Rylan ❤❤❤.#understandingmentalhealthmatters
Why do you think he's the first person? People have been depressed, and talking about it accurately, since the dawn of time
@@zeddeka Not in a manner that resonated with me such as this
Here I am watching this at home in Australia, an almost 60 year old woman relating to what Rylan has to say about his experiences with his mental health. I’ve subscribed because of the intelligent conversation today ❤ I especially loved the way he spoke about if you can only switch on the kettle it’s a step in the right direction 🥰 Having faced the trauma of surviving a major car crash, and the change in the way my body now has limitations has been a very long process of acceptance, and hearing Rylan talk about how he copes just confirms to me that I’m stronger mentally than I ever realised. Thanks to the RUclips algorithm for putting your video on my list today 👌🏽🥰 I’m sharing it with my husband, as I’m sure he will relate to it too, and he’s a 74 year old. Ross/Rylan you are the real deal ❤
same here - hugs from Germany
I totally agree with you .Rylan is a totally honest and down to earth human being and so relatable and that's why he has got so far in his career, he is so normal and says it how it is .
Love Rylan when he was told on the Xfactor he was chosen to get through the main show and he started crying because he could not believe it he made me love him love him on Strictly take Two he would be amazing to take schofields place on Good Morning but not with holly presenting she should go if he got the job DOI he would be brilliant he just makes presenting shows Happy
Wow! I’m a 59 year old woman, who is also learning to live with a life limiting condition. I’ve had multiple sclerosis since 1999, but in the last couple of years it’s really ruined my life. I can no longer drive ( reaction times too slow, leading to accidents). Walking is now absolutely shockingly difficult, so I’m looking at wheelchairs. I lost my career as a teacher nine years ago. I’m struggling, but I’ll get there. Thank you for commenting, as it’s incredibly helpful. And yes, Rylan / Ross is a sweetheart ❤️🩹😘xxx
@@traceybanting3952 you certainly sound like you have had a major life changing upheaval now you are living with MS ❤️🩹 I hope you can find (if not already attending) a good physiotherapist who can help. I attend weekly sessions and this has helped my balance and coordination. Best wishes to you, Julie 💓
The longer this podcast goes on, the bigger the transition from Rylan to Ross. Thoroughly enjoyed this interview 🙏
So glad this popped up in my feed. Best Rylan/Ross interview ever. Been a fan since he was standing in the queue at x factor, love him and hope he finds that special person soon, he deserves all the happiness in the world. ❤️
I couldn't agree more!
Grateful to be able to listen . You have to learn to love the child within us all
One of the best podcasts I have listened to recently. Genuine, honest, and humble....
This was fab, to have him open up so much was so emotional, I'm so glad he's back in a good place now, he is such a nice guy 😊
Absolutely excellent. I'm old enough to be Ross's/ Rylan's mum and like his mum I am so proud of him.
Absolutely loved listening to this, Rylan your fab at what you do, Ross sounds like a lovely genuine guy too, I really hope you can tick the happiness box, in the very near future xx
He absolutely nailed depression/anxiety/imposter syndrome for me. When I was working in a fabulous job I questioned why I was able to have this job and was I worthy. I was actually good at it and worked very hard, but I couldn’t understand how I could be so blessed. I did not feel worthy. And it does come down to you and getting to the point where YOU want something else. He’s so so right. Baby steps.
I’m only at 23.58 minutes in but I have CPTSD, depression and anxiety from having a horrendous childhood and further abuse, gaslighting ect from my father in my early 20’s (I’m 30 now) listening to Ross on how he did his steps and how he progressed from there has really helped me personally just to know that doing the smallest of things are a step forward. I can’t do PTSD therapy because my brain goes into shut down mode and I start to get the horrible nightmares back but listening to Ross it’s definitely made me want to start talking to myself as a child and doing them little steps. I currently get huge anxiety when going into the shower so maybe if I scale it back it might help. Thank you Ross… I hope you get to see this just so you know you have helped someone out! ❤ xxx
@Vanilla Kush
Writing a comment on a RUclips video is completely different from doing therapy where you explore topics related to PTSD. Is that making sense now? Sorry, I thought I'd help you out, as you didn't seem to understand very well.
@@bobbypukes605 Thank you for understanding it is completely different. 😊 I hope this podcast can help others too
I have CPTSD and it has taken me a very long time to get to the point where I could do EMDR for it for the same reasons you have. I hope you manage to get there too because it has been really good for me. But even if you don't that is ok, keep building those small positives and taking the victories where you can. Sending love and solidarity to you
@@ooffiihardwick3676 yer I feel like I need to be in a better place in my head first to be able to handle it. I always want to get better so I will definitely look into EMDR for the future. Thank you for sharing your experience and help 😊 for the minute I am focusing on them baby steps.
WELL DONE for getting to where you are because you have done AMAZING!! Sending you love back and a big hug 🤗 xxx
Hi do you get depersonalisation or dissociation? I suffer with this really bad x
I met Ross as Ross many years ago in an office..I have watched Ross become Rylan and he is now and was then a very kind respectful man. I still have his Demo Tape he gave me as a goodbye present..xx
You are lucky that you have such a beautiful family and your a wise soul Ross
Glad you are better Rylan, well done! You are a lovely young man.🇬🇧🙏
He is so likeable and he gave some of the best advice in this video. He will have helped a lot of people, including me. Best of luck to him. I like to see people with a good heart do well.
I met Ross very briefly in June last year he presented me an award, got to say couldn't of been any nicer to me
I want to thank Ross for opening up to so many things that I personally relate too. I could have honestly listened to more about the mental health side. Keep going Ross wishing you all the best lovely xx
Is Rose West your _real_ name? 😮
I adore Rylan/Ross, he has a beautiful soul. He reminds me so much of my Son, who is also an Artist. I see his inner strength now, you can only be strong when you are truthful & kind. I've followed him from the beginning & he has that special "It" that not many have. He's gorgeous thru & thru. 🤗
Just a lovely genuine guy through and through and that’s why we all love him so much ❤
i'm in a similar spot to what Ross was in and it made me smile when he said just turn the kettle on because it is exactly what I needed to hear. sometimes, less is more - in the words of Charlie Mackesy
I've only just discovered this podcast and looking though, something drew me to this one. I am glad it did. Rylan is always someone I've been meh, too, but this has completely turned me around. What a genuinely lovely, beautiful human being. Whatever drew me to this episode, I am so happy it did.
I just cant fault Rylan , without exception , every time I see him interact with people he is compassionate and kind and funny and he deserves everything good that comes to him , such a great conversation , thank you Rylan for being so open X
What a great conversation, loads to be taken away but especially the part about just push the button, you don’t have to make the tea today xx
Q
What a genuine lovely man! Loved this episode!
I've listened to this interview twice. Mr Clark, you are an inspiration and you are giving me strength. Chapeau!
Always been a fan of his. A lovely genuine guy. Very clever too. Ross you could help so many other people. Loved watching this & I will look out for other interviews from the two guys.
He comes across so genuine. People who want to get into the tv industry need to learn from him. Also he helps people who are getting into the industry how to get along
I've never heard him as Ross. I'll be adding him to my wish list dinner party. I love Rylan so much. What an interview 👏
Omg you have one too?? Haha yeah Rylan is already on mine but im adding Ross too ❤
Great interview with a lovely guy. Much love to Rylan, good to hear he's in a better mindset.
Insightful episode. Respect to Rylan for sharing his story so honestly.
I just keep feeling for Caroline Flack , listening too Ross. 😢
Men should talk like this all the time , it helps each other , inspiring other men .❤
You know that’s interesting bc so did I … maybe bc this popped up in my feed as im about to watch love island? But it’s heartbreaking but also thank goodness Ross/Rylan got there x
Men will never talk because all we get is man up or ignored then everyone acts surprised when they find out Tom, Dick or Harry as hung him self and it will always be this way But also a mans natural trait is to not sound or look weak which is down to others making men feel weak the minute they speak out.
@@Danny_kay thats why things have to to change - i hope in your case you fell you can show that side of you and be congratulated for it :0)
@@Vikki-Waiting-victoriagrace Luckily I have a wife that understands my anxiety and depression and if it wasn't for having children I most probably wouldn't be here but the fact I do have my wife and children it helps me lift my self back up when I have moments.
@@Danny_kay that’s wonderful! And she sounds like a wonderful woman too ! I won’t say that you’re lucky bc i wud imagine you were attracted to her bc of her qualities and therefore well done you for finding the right partner for you and being I would also imagine the perfect partner for her too ( as much as any of us can be ofc) I worked in mental health for 12 years my children suffer with it & myself too and I grew up with a mother with manic depression ( but that was in the 70s) so I have huge sympathy and empathy for anyone who lives with anxiety especially and depression. I love that you say your children ‘saved’ you ( paraphrasing) I think I would agree with that for myself too and few of my friends also . You’re children will benefit from a father that speaks openly so don’t hold back we live in a changing world & that’s a good thing . Take care Danny 🙂
I worked with Rylan on a corporate event a few years ago and he was such a lovely and genuine fella . He was an absolute joy and very humble. I still consider him and Claudia Winkleman the best two celebs I've worked with . Glad he's doing well.
Brilliant podcast. Ross/Rylan is more loved and respected than he/they will ever know. The Public can see through showbiz BS and know who the good genuine stars are. RR is one of those people that is truly seen as a national treasure, on merit x
What a great podcast. What a genuinely nice man Rylan/Ross is. Good luck to him.
So many things resonate and I concur, baby steps and being kind to yourself are so key in recovery. Once you have the ‘tools’ you can use them whenever you need them, even if you fall back a bit. Sit on the sofa, press the button, then take another tiny step!
I have known him since he was 11. He hasn’t changed a bit, and is a genuinely top bloke. Glad it all worked out for him
Ross made me cry when he said about the rock bottom period, and detailed that there is a real life, where we forget the smaller things, putting a kettle on. Even just the button itself. And all of that, because I saw that. I related to his dual personality, and I realise I used to have a Rylan and have been a Ross for some time, enough time in fact. This was exactly what I needed to hear and more. It's the sharing of our vulnerabilities that make us stronger, as well as our strengths. Because it's the roadmap to understanding ourselves and each other on a really fundamental and necessary way. I love these talk shows that are coming out now too. No longer is TV going to be just showmanship, it's going to be a whole arrangement of amazing and wonderful personalities, showing weakness and strength is the key to a human and exciting experience for all. People like Ross, are definitely going to help so many other people who are struggling to come to terms or figuring out who they are. It goes way further than sexuality, it's the pinnacle of who we are too that matters even more, if not, it's all that it is that matters... I'll paraphrase Rylan here, it's whatever you want it to be.
Who would have ever thought Ryland would be such a success after his lack of singing ability on the X factor but obviously Ryland had somehting else,a stat quality that has enabled him to just go from success to success.
I love Ryland,he just comes across as the most real and authentic person when you see him on TV and he makes you feel like you are in safe hands.
He deserves all the success he has,he is reaally good at what he does,he has a real talent at communicating and presenting on TV and I think he is up there with some of the best TV personalities and presenters we've had.
Hes a star, simple as that xx
I met Rylan in Ibiza before he became famous, he performed in a Take That tribute band. A really lovely guy.
Great interview Rylan / Ross. Always loved you. So glad you’re feeling better. Onwards and upwards ❤
Best podcast that I’ve seen in a long time. Superb chat 👍🏼
Love you Rylan and you are a beautiful person and love that you have gotten through all the shit!! and that you are still her with us! 🥰 beautiful. Love mummy Linda.
I like him , he isn't fake like the majority of them in the industry
I’ve read both his books and I believe he is a really genuine person and I wish him all the success in the future. Tx❤️
The term national treasure get's thrown about a bit too much these days, and it's lost a little of it's gravitas - but there are some people who are TRULY national treasures and Rylan is one of those. I can't wait to watch this.
Thank you so much for this..Ross..You may have saved me from doing something. Thank you to this channel also, Bless you all x I'll continue to press the button xxxx
That was lovely, I can tell you are very proud of your dad! That’s the best.
This came up in my recommendations, and I’m glad it did. Whether it was because of a higher power, or just RUclips’s algorithm... it doesn’t matter as I really needed to hear this today. Depression can be a lifelong battle, and I can relate to what Rylan says. ❤️🙏🏻
Sounds like he lives his life by 'Change what you can't accept, and accept what you can't change'. Very down to earth, and the baby steps approach is solid advice. Thank you so much for this podcast.
just watching Rylan, OMG, he is so on point as regards being at your lowest, I will take on board everything he says and put the kettle on. Please if you can, thank him for me ❤
Enjoy yourself, it’s the best person you can be with!!! I love me time, travelling, walking, going to a bar or restaurant! Don’t see it as the future but embrace it while you have it!!
This is a fab interview.I love Rylan❤
He is so lovely. Seems really genuine. Bless him.
Really enjoyed this. Lovely to hear about Ross and Rylan. Nice to get to know him. Thank you.
I think Rylan is the perfect example of ‘good people can make really big mistakes’ and still come out on the other end of it even better than they were before. I’m very happy that someone as good of a person as him is as successful as he is because he more than deserves it.
No ego at all!!! What a genuine guy,all people should watch this and learn From it. Really lovely man!!!
Can really relate to what Ross said. Little steps; and each one is a triumph. It is also interesting that if we spoke to people as we talk to ourselves we would have no friends. Be kind to yourself.
I really enjoyed this interview, and I actually don’t think Rylan is that far from Ross! A lovely person and his thoughts have helped me to put some aspects of my life, into perspective.
He's explaining deep SEVERE depression .God bless you Rylan
Enjoyed this so much. Rylan is such a genuine person.
What a relief to see someone who is paid to be unreal.. Being real.. With everything going on on ITV.. Its good to hear from someone who is conflicted about themselves but sharing the honesty. We are all flawed
I loved Ryan anyway before watching this but jeez after listening to him on here I'm further more in love with him. I've got so much respect for him & I'm actually shocked by how intelligent he actually is when he's not acting like an air head! I genuinely hope & want him to find true love now coz he absolutely deserves every happiness 💖
I love Rylan/Ross the most realest celebrity/person. I've been through depression. He hit the nail on the head with everything.
I’ve always liked this man from his first time on telly, and this is so wonderful to watch him explaining his recovery in a really practical therapeutic way. He’s so approachable and kind, thanks Ross/ Rylan
I'm so happy Rylan is getting back up there , such a lovely, genuine man. Keep on keeping on Rylan/Ross ❤
I love this guy his so humble and honest wish more people were like him on tv ❤
What a fabulous interview. This came down my feed & I’ve subscribed. Rylan has always been a great bloke in my eyes. Ross is fantastic. I love the way he was so open. The interviewers you two are flipping ace. Rylan/Ross I don’t quite think you know how many people you will have helped. 👏👏👏👏 brilliant in every way. Ross I have an inkling that full happiness will happen very soon I sincerely hope it does ❤️ xx
great interview, 1 to 1 my life regarding depression, I stopped eating, thank you for opening up Rylan, you helped a lot of people
I have to admit i wasn't a fan of Rylan at first but over the years he's really changed my mind and i really respect the guy now. He's genuinely a top bloke its quite inspiring.
The lovely Rylan/Ross my favourite presenter you are wonderful. You are always respectful and kind to everyone ❤❤❤
What a genuinely lovely bloke. Loved this.
Brilliant interview guys….. we love Rylan, he’s a genuine guy……wishing all the best for the future
✨️🙏🏻✨️
Wow. Rylan you are amazing 🥰🥰
Rylan just be happy, and kind to yourself ❤. I think your fantastic 🎉
“I have money in the bank babe, I’m fine” 😂
One of the best live tv presenters I’ve seen 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What a trooper Rylan/Ross is, very relatable to reaching rock bottom and turning it around. So honestly described. It is ok to not be ok, once you realise this you are a step in the right direction. Respect to you and your podcasts, I've now subscribed and look forward to more inspirational stories 😀
A truly genuine young man !
Such a lovely person! I can relate so much of what he said. I suffer myself with similar issues, It does get better and it's okay to have good and bad days. After losing my best friend earlier this year to cancer, I have relapsed with things not always doing small tasks just like Ross said. Thank you for being so open and very well said all 👏 also what Ryan said about talking to yourself a therapist told me about that last year, Basically we all have that inner child and trauma from the past can bring that inner child and voice back like you are two different people. But it's apart of who you are you, You just have to keep telling that inner child you are okay and enough. Best wishes Ross 💚
I enjoy listening to him on the radio saturday afternoons. Though I haven't for the past few weeks.
Fantastic interview and listen. Brilliant podcast. Thanks both
I respect an honest a man.
I think he deserves his place he is a very nice person.
Just a fantastic interview. Just love Ross/Ryland's pure honesty and directness. Such a fantastic guy who I resonated so much with in many ways. Thank you for a fantastic show ❤❤❤
Thank you Ross
The steps …. The way you explained this has helped me . Grief and trauma I found doing anything exhausting . ❤
I had to talk to myself kindly to encourage myself .
I've always found Rylan very funny and entertaining on TV, but I gotta say, I prefer the real Ross. Thank you for showing him to the world.
Love Rylan.
Thanks for this.
I never even comment on you tube pod casts, however this is such an amazing Interview. I love Ross xxx
Love Ryan and what he said is so refreshing and I know this will help so many people and friends family who may be going through this with a loved one ,
But love how his so real not fake keep being you Rylan your fab 😘 xx
This talk with Rylan could honestly help so many people its was super to hear his words
