This is a Stark who did *very* well in the South. If only Ned had taken a leaf out of his book.
The catch with Cregan was he only stayed for a short time then went back home. Unlike Ned who went south and stayed there.
@@philippeblais8594 Cregan did what he meant to do, and he had enough backup.
Nah cregan is a glorified walder frey you mean😂
@@No-ik5nj What is that supposed to mean?
Probably because he was there for a very short time.
The fact he just carries Ice around on his back is so boss
Wish they casted a more badass looking 20 something actor instead, can’t take his accent seriously with that face 😂
@@Winskl9010 you'll get used to it. Took some getting used to the Targaryen's appearances as well
@@Winskl9010 I mean aemond has the body of a 12yo, velaryons are black and your biggest issue is Cregan actor(who is portraying a 23 yo character) not looking 9 feet tall with a huge manly beard
@blackpaint9093 I think the Valeryons being black really played up the kids not being legitimate tho like it works visually
@leonlopez2441 i dont think so, the legitimacy of Rhaenyra's kids suppose to be a rumor that only she can prove, making the Velaryon black make thing too obvious, everytime the subject come up it make the scene look completely stupid.
Declares in a war that suits his best interest, barely contributes due to how hard it is to assemble an army in the North, shows up in the end as the victor, handles the after war politics, and gets a tomboy wife out of it.
What a Chad
Robb Stark seemed to assemble his army fairly quickly no? But I suppose it was a smaller army than most other great houses.
@@samvictoriano5955Starks can muster 50k but Robb went south with only 20k soldiers bcz he was in a hurry to save his father
@@samvictoriano5955 yeah Robb’s army was quickly assembled. The North is still at half military capacity. Robb just went south with whatever anybody could bring on short notice.
He probably sat out the war on pourpous like lady Jeyne Arynn
@samvictoriano5955 That's why Robb's army was at only half its potential strength.
The fact that he looks big enough to wield ice as a battlefield weapon and not a ceremonial one is pretty interesting.
That was my thought. He actually looks like someone who would wield a greatsword with finesse as well as strength
The writers better make the HOUR OF THE WOLF epic and do a good casting of Alysanne Blackwood
well the thing about greatswords that most fantasy games and and shows and books and such get wrong is they aren't these big heavy things, they're actually pretty light for their size and the closest sword to Ice from what i can tell is the scotish claymore, which is a greatsword of very similar proportions, i just hope they show ice being used how a greatsword should be used and not how every other sword in got is used
@@bargainbrandmilk9858 they absolutely were a lot more nimble in real life, than they're portrayed in film. But it is still a 5lb piece of steel, that an average-sized dude probably couldn't wield for a long period of time
@@modernviking6436 that just depends on how long the battle is, not to mention that holding the sword by the hilt isn't the only way of wielding it, a very popular way of using a greatsword is by holding the blade and the handle, it more evenly distributes the what weight there actually is and gives for some good guarding
Honestly the coolest characters in this war. It won’t be this season but the hour of the wolf is coming!
Isn't it kinda post war? If that's the case I fear it may never get adapted 😢
@@diegoborges1348i think it will. I think with the success HotD may go all the way to Blackfyres then Dunk and Egg. Its a very profitable IP they wont waste it
@@diegoborges1348 i think we will se what Daemon always wanted to do ;D but Cregan will use ice.
Finally we can see the true power of the Starks!!!
Sad what eventually happens to ICE
Biggest Tywin war crime. Yes.
Dude I had to pause to see it literally made me emotional 😂 I’m a dork
Even after all these years I'm still pissed about that! 🤬🤬🤬
@@leman7648 yea i know, especially then making 2 more swords only for one of them to be given a corny name by joffery.
We still don’t know the fate of the two swords. Perhaps it’s reforged
Jace: The Blood Of The Dragon runs thicc, Lord Stark...
Cregan: 😏
That a gay pun or something? Dont sexualize men on men
This Stark knew how to play the game.
The 'Hour of the Wolf' Begins!
Cregan looks bad ass bro!!! Can't wait for the Premiere 👍
I'm so happy to see Ice again😭😭😭🧊🧊🧊
He looks like a young Ned Stark.
Nah
More like his big brother
Haha 😂😂😂 im laughing . I want to cry now 😢
I'm very happy to see Ice back in its full glory
The hour of the wolf is so awesome 👌
Starks of yesterday we are wolves stark of today we are puppies
Robb and Ned are 100x more successful in war than any Stark not called Theon to be fair
@@mistmist4303 ned went to war ro avenge the death of his father and brother which he didn't do Jamie did and Rob lost how is that successful
@@zeakatep171 Ned won multiple battles including the Battle of the Bells the penultimate battle of Robert’s Rebellion, and later won further glory commanding Robert’s vanguard during the Trident and commanding with him during the Greyjoy Rebellion.
Robb won numerous battles during the War of the Five Kings despite being just 14 years old, and only lost due to his honourable nature, aka marrying Jeyne Westerling and beheading Lord Karstark, which was fully deserved. He didn’t lose through battle.
Compare that to Cregan who didn’t fight a single battle or duel during the Dance, and only arrived when it was a foregone conclusion. They have both won far more battles than any Stark who isn’t named Theon, not to mention Robb being a warg and having a pet Dire-wolf.
@@mistmist4303 ned got killed cause he couldn't keep his mouth shut and Robbie lost the war doesn't matter how many battles you've won when you lost tje war and let winterfell fall into the hands of the ironborn he was a wimp with to much Tully in him
@@zeakatep171 I give up on convincing brainlets 😭
to see ice return and used in combat will be too cool
So ready for the hour of the wolf!
Aemon was the greatest knight and kingsguard due to his moral although great fighter, I think Daemon Blackfyre was the strongest warrior from the Targaryan family as he was heralded like the god of combat and even got knighted at 12.
Yes, it was said that with Blackfyre he was the God
And he only got killed after trying to save a wounded enemy, he's pretty honourable as well. If only Aegor and Quentin didn't got into his head to rebel against Daeron
@Dimassaputra14 Daemon got shot down by arrows after riding to his sons who were also shot down by arrows
@@bdeezy1794 waittt, isn't that the opposite? His son died rushing to him after he got rain down by arrows?
@@Dimassaputra14 I don't think so. I think bloodraven knew one way to isolate Daemon on the battlefield was to arrow his sons, and when Daemon B came to rescue them he shot him down.
As for helping a wounded enemy he did have that exchange with a Corbray (Gwayne maybe) that Daemon was perhaps too honorable with a 1v1 and it gave Baelor Breakspear sufficient time to come in with the counter attack.
You probably are going to see him using Ice a lot, but not in battle 😏
This is the real song of Ice and Fire
Ice sword is so big that ned stark didn't even use in the war only for beheaded
he did use ice in battle just not in the TV show.
Welcome back Ice. ❤
What’s more interesting is that the armor he wears is exactly the same as the one the Starks wore in game of thrones. Which to me I hope we see at least some differentiating detail, but otherwise it could make sense with the North being more rigid and set in their ways. They found one method of making armor that worked and they stuck to it.
Pretty much the Ice&Fire world’s Aragorn lol
He's no Aragorn
@@asp5399 maybe not as heroic, but he is definitely one of the most badass leaders and warriors in the whole story, he brings order after the civil war is over
He sounds so dope too
As someone who owns a replica of Ice i can't wait to see it finally used in battle on screen.
Hour of the Wolf will be Ice’s time to shine ✨
I wish he had a direwolf he would be even more goated as a stark
Cregan was the best. He still wanted Lannister Baratheon and Hightower severely punished even when they were reduced to orphans under regency and mewling widows. Meanwhile Corlys was gonna let everyone go with impunity under the argument that the guilty parties were already dead, even though it's delusional to think that children and widows are no threat
'When your enemies defy you, you must serve them fire and steel. When they go to their knees, however, you must help them back to their feet. Elsewise no man will ever bend the knee to you'.
@@uningenieromas that's the thing however they weren't necessarily on their knees
That is Uhtred, son of Uhtred. Honour bound to forge Rhaenyra's dream of a Westeros. But one day his sword will belong to Winterfell. Destiny is all!
😆 Nice one, kudos.
Honestly the most exciting part of seeing him for me was seeing Ice again. Still mad at Tywin for what he did to it
I just want to see ice reforged
Same!
Me too
Never again
Maybe it gets reforged into light bringer, which is the handed to Jon.
@@didncozosksma4466 Ohhhhhmugoshh that wud be soakewwwwwl
He looks super young I thought would be older
It was mentioned in the season 1 finale that Cregen was a little older than Jace. If Jace is 17 or 18 then I'm guessing cregen is in his early 20s.
Cregan in the books is like 16 at the start of the war cause he was the same age as Jace. By the end I wanna say he’s like 18 then takes charge
Cregan is only 21 here, and by the end of the Dance, when he takes charge during the Hour of the Wolf, he's 23.
Jace is about 15 when he meets Cregan.
I think he was 21 at the start of the dance.
He looks young for his age, he looks 17 to me not 22. Should have casted a more mature looking 20 something
They need to give him a beard
Give them time.
Fk the beards everywhere. It's not Vikings
@@gennarosavastano9424The men of house Stark need their beards.
Vikings didn't wear beards often and nowhere near as often as english or Europeans lmao shut up ya Norse weeb@@gennarosavastano9424
In time and plus what I read from the book lore that it's a tradition for stark men to grow their beards
Tom Taylor As Cregan Stark Is Dope 🔥 🐺
Cregan? Nah, that's the Kurgan and he looks ready to belt out Creeds "My Sacrifice:.
Honestly th3 scene of them in the wall made me actually hype for the season
That dude was look like Domeric Bolton on book description than Cregan because have non facial hair like most Stark. In my opinion 😅
My favorite house in game of thrones ❤️🐺
Cregan Stark , I wondered who would play him 🎉 I hope the actor doesn't disappoint because Lord Cregan Stark has a big part to play towards the end of the dance of dragons ❤
The hour of the wolf!
Cregan is the one Stark I always imagined having a long thick beard and seeing him here clean shaven is just harrowing 😅
We will, He plays a big part at the end of the story
I always pictured Cregan to be more burley like how Tormund.
The Starks are a fine example of what men once were.
Ice cannot be used in combat.
It was specifically designed to be too large to be wielded in battle
They don't care.
Ice was used by ned stark in combat during the attack on pyke.
@@TheAlmightygizmo No it was not. He would have brought it with him for matters of justice, but not for combat.
The Mountain is the only person who
'May' have been able to wield Ice in combat
You never heard of a claymore?
@@johnmitchell4043What about Theon Stark then ya wanker, quit lying..
Nice to see they showed Ice with its proper length. It was a sword with length equal to a man's height.
Hopefully, soon we get a show about the house of Stark, after that house of Mormont
If anyone was wondering, Thats Neds Great-Great-Great-Great Grandfather
No shit 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
We need a movie about the conquest of Dorne so that we can also witness the prowess of Sir Aemon
I always pictured Cregan as older 😂
He is only around 21 at the start of the Dance
@@loreramble yeah idk why I pictured some big old dude. I did the same with dunk and egg I didn’t release how young egg was
Rhaenyra even mentioned how young Cregan was before they flew to the other houses
(Re)claims the north from his uncle because he is destined to rule the north like his father and his uncle wanted to have all the power for himself.
Damn, they neutered Ice.
It's like... Half the size when Cregan has it.
I doubt we will witness how cregan fight because they made every ground battles offscreen just to make more time for talking lmao
I'd pay money to see a show based on creggans war with the wildlings
Remember never get connected to any character
ICE had a bastard named Widow's Wail😂
Wow a stark who I really want to see fight using the sword 🗡️ ice , Cregan Stark , it should be good when he brings his army to kings landing in the hour of the wolf 🐺🐺, hopefully the don't rush it ,
There's never lived a Stark who forgot to have facial hair. 😂
Hopefully we see him use Ice in an actual greatsword fighting style rather than the typical Hollywood bat swinging style.
We will see him beheading Larys Strong in the Hour of the Wolf if the show will stay true to the book
😮😮😮
I’m glad he doesn’t look too old
I think Maegor was the the most badass Targaryen warrior. And his dragon would slay Aomons too.
Super hyped to see a visual of Roddy the ruin and his winter wolf and for cregan and the hour of the wolf I feel like it’s gunna be so sick 🔥 (honorable mention to the lads and one the best girls Black Aly Blackwood 🙌🏽🖤)
Who would win, Cregan Stark or Dalton "The Red Kraken" Greyjoy?
I’d vote for Cregan!
cregan if they fight on land dalton if they fought on a ship
Dudes out here looking like Brian Cushing.
In the book cregan doesn't come south until the end as it takes a while for him to gather the northern army and march south he then becomes hand for a day sentences traitors to death chops their heads off and marches back home
Bro basically showed up at the end of the war and claimed center stage.
Dude we are getting Guts in HOTD before GTA 6
You forgot to mention, that Cregan was far beyond his peak when he fought Aemon and Aemon was right in the middle of his.
I think he was somewhere around 50, while Aemon was in his 20s.
Makes him even more of a fearsome beast! ❤
Ps: Might be wrong about that, it's been a while, but I think Cregan didn't even use Ice, while Aemon did use Dark Sister. 🤔
The late cregan stark
He’d be a good wolverine
Its greta trying to save the seven kingdoms from global warming 😂❤
Considering Ice is a ceremonial blade used primarily for executions and looking pretty on a wall, i dont think we'll see it in combat.
All the last kingdom alum, I love it
We aren't going to see him use the sword. There is a reason why ned didn't use it either and why they made Arthur dayne use two swords.
In a fantasy book it's practical for some one to swing a bastard sword and match some one with a longsword, but in reality they can't make two evenly sized men fight and make it look natural.
They would either need cg or have him fight some one way smaller.
Sadly ice is a prop in this show despite it being legendary in the texts.
But isnt Ice too big to be used in battle?
Its not real life, big swords are pretty cool
there is probably an explanation like, he is so big and muscular that he can wield it
@@DarjanSmrti the novel Events are realistic there's no plot armour and using this sword in battles is nearly impossible
No, it's a large sword but there are many swords in real life as tall or taller than the person that wielded them
Here in the Netherlands we had Big Pier a Frisian man that wield a sword that is 213cm and he was 217cm in height and he wield it with one arm. The sword is roughly ,6.5KG
I thought Ice was more of a ceremonial blade
He will come and save kings landing at the end of the dance.
man, i wish they had given him a beard! tom looks great with one!!😩
Bro should grow atleast a goatee for playing the role of a stark...
Nobody is fighting with that big ass sword 🗡️ (pause)
Gonna fking coooool man
Starks are not falcons, but Ned stark didn't understood this.
I hope we get to see the false peace.
The casting was so much better in GOT. When they showed us a character that was supposedly a great warrior or wise lord I always believed it. HOTD not so much
The old man of the north
Bro dropping spoilers without warning
Bro literally has ice in his neck
average Stark Before Ned Stark be like : Stab anything that Moves.
He is the one and only stark that is not crushed in south and eventually he rules the westrose for 2-4 months as a regent of ageon3rd.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ice is cool.
o.m.g!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it's sad to see what happened to ICE in GoT
How does someone fight with ice .. it’s huge
It’s made of Valyrian steel, known to be lighter than normal steel, so it’s probably much easier to swing
Dudes supposed to be a grizzled older warrior. Not some fresh faced model.
What kind of duel was it between Aemon and Cregan? Sport or battle?
CREGAN. FUCKING. STARK.
Hope the acting is good, because I'm not convince by the look and big things are expected fron this character.
I can already see girls making thirst edits of him so we’re good 😂
@@Some_Deist I've never said he wasn't handsome, just the "stark look" is not there.
