That’s real badassery. Cos he understands if he always nukes his foes some can start to creat ideas that he has no fighting prowess. And in fiction and irl men born and living in this sort of medieval-esque world their ability to kick another man’ ass or kill him on your own was highly rated. So I suppose he doesn’t wish to come across as just the “dragon guy” 😂
The more i learn about King 🤴 Jahaerys, the more i realise he is the epitome of what a Targaryen King should be & should've been.

@@beeeeeesbury Egg made a lot of reforms to help the smallfolks, he only had iirc a Blackfyre rebellion and a Baratheon rebellion because he married a low born out of love, or he defended the choice of his child to marry out of love, I really dont remember.

Targaryens,Velaryons and Baratheons are blood related but the Baratheons are the only ones that never had their own dragons
Not entirely true Rhaena the Queen who never was is half Baratheon he mother was a Baratheon.. and to say House Velaryon had Dragons is very misleading as the only Velaryons that had Dragons had Targaryen parents specifically Targaryen parents within the line of succession. Rhaena and Corlys children(Rhaena could have potentially been queen due to her father being the eldest of King Jaehaerys), Daemons Daughters (Daemon was still relatively high in the line of succession for most of his life brother to the king and all), Rhaenyra and her 3 sons "with" Laenor (again they were in the direct line of succession with Rhaenyra supposed to be queen and Jace supposed to be her heir). The only "Velaryons" that ended up receiving dragons that weren't tied to the line of succession were the Dragonseeds during the dance and even they aren't considered part of House Velaryon and they only received dragons due to the War.
Orys Baratheon was only rumored to be Aegon's half brother
@@mouse3872Leanor and Lyanna were Velaryons without question even if their mother was a Targaryen. Also, Addam of Hull had no known Targaryen blood and still proven to be a dragonrider, and later a legitimized Velaryon (and rumored to be Corlys and not Leanor's son)
@@SantomPh the point I'm trying to make is that if someone is going to say that House Velaryons had dragonriders because of the examples given then Rhaenys should count for House Baratheon as well since her Mother was a Baratheon. Not saying Velaryons didn't have Dragonriders just pointing out that Rhaenys should be lumped into Baratheon for the same reason Laenor and Laena were lumped in with Velaryon.

And I couldn't agree more.....the history of the asoiaf universe is absolutely fucking incredible. You could quite literally make any of the hundreds of stories, and make an epic series, or series of novels

@@jesuschrist9597The Targaryens and the Velaryons came to Westeros from Old Valyria which was destroyed on the doom. The Velaryons were very close allies of the Targaryens before the dance of the dragons, with several marriages between them and Velaryons (with Targaryen blood) being allowed to ride dragons.
Even the first aegon was half velaryon

Rogar fought this war while slowly succumbing to sickness. He did not want to die in bed drugged with the milk of the poppy, so instead he hoped to die in the war. He didn't get that, and he died months later in Storm's End.
Don't forget that Rogar was doing this while terminally ill with months to live... His only regret about the success of the campaign was that he failed to die in battle like he'd wanted

I swear..when it comes to being a King and strong leader, Jaehaerys was the complete and total package. The very imagine of what a great king is and should be.
And Rogar Baratheon...for all his faults, and despite the problems that he had during the regency of Jaehaerys, after Maegor's death and when Jaehaerys still just a bit to young to legally rule in his own right...Rogar was just an all around BEAST, strong ally. House Baratheon just has this legacy of producing Lords who are just absolute UNITS. When Maegor seized power, and Jaehaerys and Alyssane and their mother were on the run, desperately seeking out safe assylum somewhere, they had very few places to turn to. The Lords in Westeros did want to risk King Maegor's wrath, especially once he firmly secured his hold on the throne. Rogar gave no fucks those. He was not afraid of Maegor at all, and opened up Storm's End for Jaehaerys and his family, pretty much in open defiance and rebellion of King Maegor.
Here’s a much better move for Borys to make: except the regency over the rightful heir, and when he comes of age to rule by himself, enjoy being the Grand Advisor. Enjoy having all the power with none of the downsides of actually having your policies come down on your head if they backfire.
I believe Jaehaerys would beat Robert Baratheon in this one. I mean, even the maester believed Jaehaerys would beat Maegor in combat.

No offence but it wasnt the maesters who said that jaeharerys could beat maegor it was a kingsguard who was being biased because realistic maegor is far better in combat as his feats prove it and robert would beat Jaehaerys as robert had superhuman feats like fighting three battles in a single day or when he killed a huge boar when he was fat and at his weakest simply put Jaehaerys has not showcased any feats putting him on maegor or roberts tier

Besides, I don’t think Rhaegar is above Jaehaerys in combat. If Rhaegar can severely wound Robert, so can Jaehaerys.

@FoltestAnimations robert had inhuman strength I meant which is a far lower form for superhuman strength but still top tier strength as we see when he uses a warhammer ned can barley lift with two hands and he had superhuman stamina to be able to fight in 3 battles

I get that Jaehaerys didn't want Rogar to slay his kin, but technically isn't Jaeharys also kin with Borys? Considering that the founder of House Baratheon was the bastard brother of Aegon I Targaryen? Basically just took the kinslaying upon himself.
As a close relative, you'd still have a nice suite of rooms. Live in a castle, have a bunch of horses and servants to take advantage of. I'd just drink all the lord's wine, hunt his deer, fish in his lakes, and have a grand life 😉
It’s also safe to say many that grow up in a lords family. Especially a major one like the baratheons, are egotistical selfish and unforgiving individuals. Not hard to see their lust for power.

Jahaerys has to be the single best ruler that Westeros has had. Perfect balance of diplomacy and brutality. The only thing he possibly could’ve done more is spend time with his family, but the dude was holding together the kingdoms.

Nothing wrong with going Boar hunting in my opinion because of how invasive they are, but Tfue is an absolute clown for just sitting there and letting the animal suffer. He should’ve been using bigger calibers if he doesn’t know how to properly dispatch an animal with a 9mm or 22’s.
Here's another detail. At the time of the 3rd Dornish war. (The event where this takes place.) Rogar was slowly dying. He was a lot weaker than he had once been and maesters said he would eventually die. Rogar was determined to die a warrior's death and hoped to bring down his traitor brother and the vulture king.
Rogar was also in his 60s and dying of summer sickness at the time and still cleaved the vulture king in two

wish this was how ww2 ended, Churchill vs Mussolini, Stalin vs Hitler and FDR(anti-polio mech suit) vs Hirohito(regular mech suit). i really dont know who would win these duels, but i have money on fdr beating hirohito. i think churchill boxed but im not sure, dont know what training mussolini had. hitler had a 4 inch height advantage on stalin and stalin was like 10 years older so hitler would probably end up being allowed to retire in argentina. i think mussolini and churchill would be the best fight/duel cuz they were similar ages and similar heights. idk how to make stalin vs hitler a fair fight unless they had their generals fight for them and found two of their generals who were compatible.
