The videos I'm working on are taking much longer than anticipated so I wanted to give you something to watch while you wait. This video is a little bit different than what I usually put out and it's a long one but it's also a great interrogation and it shows what can happen when a detective takes their job seriously. Share your thoughts below.

She had the hospital do a rape kit on her. She had done this before and the detective and cops came, blocked off our street, and raided our house. The detective said he didn’t believe her but they had to do their job! She called me the next day and told me that he could make this all go away for $25k. This ended up costing my friend $5k for a lawyer and $5k for a lie detector test. The girl didn’t get in trouble at all over what she had done. As a victim myself, this moment (and several more like it come afterward) stuck out to me: The rambling after the initial “story”, mostly about how she’s so lonely, a single mom, trying to be happy with her life, and he’s out partying… very telling. It wasn’t focused on the aftermath of what happened, it was very focused on how much she deserves even more sympathy.
When I had been assaulted, my brain wasn’t focused on “poor me and my sympathy-deserving life”. It was shock. I knew I was a victim of the assault. Even in the most abstract thoughts, of “what led us here”, not a sliver of my being focused on anything as light, general, and abstract as my poor, lonely “lot in life”.

Immediately everyone who believed her apologised, most of us knew not to take it too seriously in the first place as the guy wouldn't harm a fly. But the damage it can do to their mental health, if even one person believes it. Even if nobody does, it can make you second guess anything in the future in case it happens again, even second guessing yourself, what if you really did do something bad and didn't realise it? I absolutely believe that if a false accusation is proven false, it should be prosecuted. The trouble there is what constitutes a false accusation, as many people making genuine accusations grow cold feet or are intimidated or bullied into withdrawing their statements.

THIS IS SO TRUE!!!! Men are victims bc when they get abused by a female, the police don't take them seriously or they feel shame for admitting a woman is abusing them. My ex did the same thing to me. We were married for 11 years and never had any major problems, had the police called, and I never touched her. But, during our divorce she lied and said I hit her in front of our daughter. It was insane what happened next. I got arrested, wasn't able to see my daughter, and life destroyed. Long story short, they interviewed my daughter 100 times and she even told the judge that "my dad never touched my mom. She slapped him a few times and he would leave for a walk and come back later". They had zero proof, no marks, scratches, police reports, or history. Luckily, all charges were dropped and I was able to get 50% custody of our daughter. Even though those 3/4 months were hell, what hurt worse is knowing that this person I loved, married and had a daughter with could do something so evil. What's also crazy is how male detectives/police love to play Superman and treat you like absolute garbage. The judge scolded my ex at our court hearing and said "I see this all the time, your feelings are hurt and in return you try to destroy your daughter fathers life". I finally understood the old saying "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned".
