  • I decided to give the ZEEE Lipo batteries a try. I picked up a set of pretty inexpensive 2S 5200 MAh Batteries. So far they seem to be pretty good. So I'm rolling the dice again and trying some bigger and more expensive versions!!! The 3S 7200 mAh bad boys... Oh this is guna be good.

    nice thing about zeee is that when my battery came to me with a wierd voltage difference they refunded me with no issue. i managed to use that battery for about a year after refund. the other battery i got in that pair was fine and i still use it to this day.

    I now have 6 x 5200 mAh 6s 100C zeee batteries I use for a twin 80mm A-10 and a 90mm F-16. They perform great in the planes, capacity is fairly close to advertised. I found these batteries catch fire, don't have the power of Traxxas batteries and do yast as long on run time of lifespan as Traxxas. If you are choosing to use these over Traxxas batteries, not recommended. Traxxas batteries hold up far better. In addition, you can follow the charging of the batteries and the voltage of the batteries as they charge on your Traxxas app. You really can't beat the Traxxas batteries in the performance that they offer. They last forever and have better functionality in all aspects. At least that's my findings. You may find something different. That's my experience. Hope it helps.

    • @mezzyshredder
      @mezzyshredder Год назад

      My experience has been far different. I find Traxxas batteries to be far superior than any other brand. They last longer on run time, they have more burst and power out of the box, and they last longer lifetime wise. I've got over a couple hundred runs on each of my batteries. And they run like new. And they don't catch fire. And because it's a reputable brand you know everything about the functionality is perfect. They don't come unbalanced. You don't have to worry about that kind of stuff. They don't overheat. They are the best batteries for Traxxas vehicles. Maybe not for others but if you have a Traxxas vehicle you will find Traxxas batteries run and perform the best. Giving you the least amount of issues. As far as runtime goes, simply by an extra battery as I do. And you get double the runtime.

    • @rctrucks2094
      @rctrucks2094 Год назад

      @@mezzyshredder Interesting to hear this. Although the Traxxas batteries are long lasting, they are triple the price. Who wants to buy a $1000 Xmaxx and spend an extra $450 just on batteries? And also the punch rate of Traxxas batteries is quite low actually. 50c and Zeee is 80c. Them saying "only battery certified for use in Traxxas vehicles" is how they make money. The electronics don't care which brand of battery as long as it has enough volts. My buddy uses HRB and Zeee and he has several cars and planes he says they're great. Here are some issues that can cause a bad experience with off brand lipos: 1. Soldering. If you don't solder correctly it can cause a weak connection which will result in very little voltage actually getting into the truck. 2. If you don't heat shrink the wire after soldering the battery can short out and that is dangerous and will damage the battery. 3. If you use a weak connector. I can't recommend Deans or XT60 unless it is for something small. I like XT90 which is very easy to solder EC5 is even better but hard to solder in my opinion. Let me know what you think.

    • @mezzyshredder
      @mezzyshredder Год назад

      I've been running rcs for 30 years so I'm aware of the risks involved. So the C rating can't be proved . Most aftermarket companies fudge this rating if you truly compare it to other name brand reputable companies like a Traxxas battery. So any company can make any claim of a rating. I find after using almost every brand of battery, that Traxxas batteries perform the most consistently, have true ratings, and are an investment that is worth investing in. The cost of the batteries is far less expensive overall when you factor in that you'll be buying more aftermarket batteries since they do not last as long as Traxxas batteries. To prove that point, simply look on ebay and you'll see tons of used Traxxas batteries that work perfectly for $49. Everyone eventually experiences the lesson of you get what you pay for. So since Traxxas vehicles cost so much, I do not wish to risk using another battery company. When I had an issue with my ecs in my Maxx, Traxxas knew I was only using their batteries and even though my esc was well past the warranty period, they recognized the issue I had was happening since the truck was new and gave me a free replacement. So it pays to use Traxxas batteries. They last years longer than every aftermarket brand. And I have been using Traxxas vehicles since their inception. No other battery lasts longer and they never catch fire. Never have to worry about that. So worth the money. If you can't afford Traxxas parts then but a less expensive vehicle. But Traxxas vehicles AND their parts and batteries and chargers are top. I love using the Traxxas app to monitor the voltage on my batteries. That's what you are paying for. Not just a battery. But EVERYTHING else that comes along with it. A strong company reputation, excellent customer service, longevity, consistency, reliability, power and speed. And the batteries last 25 to 30 minutes and every single vehicle I run. Sometimes longer depending on the terrain. But never has an aftermarket battery performed BETTER...than the Traxxas battery
