So glad it's working for you! Just be careful, I've had things work for awhile and cause no irritation, but after some time, it gets to be too much. But if it's working, keep doing it! Just pay attention to your skin, and good luck!

I think the fact that it's mostly k-beauty and gentle is why it isn't insane- I also have overproduction of skin around hair follicles and pores so I have to rely on the AHAs and BHAs much more than most would need.

@@mimmy131100 I'm a huge fan of the Some By Mi Cica Gel, Differin Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser, Zymogen Luffa Cylindrica Cleanser, Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Essence, and I've recently gotten the I'm From Fig Cleansing Balm, that feels like heaven and melts everything with little to no coconut! I also use Jojoba oil daily, often another toner or two (RN it's Some By Mi's Super Matcha Toner). Also Aloe gel, just straight up and mixed into the Cica gel...and one of Acure's Retinol serums. And sunscreen, of course, although I haven't found the perfect one for me yet.

I'm using a propolis Korean serum + a fermented bifida serum too wich help with skin barrier ect and since I sticked these 2 serum my skin are more 'cleared' my pimples are less there, and if I got some they left more faster, the post inflamated mark left more faster too, my rosacea are better too and I also take antioxidant supplement, that really saved my skin! So I totally agree with antioxidants for skin issues

I did go to a dermatologist, and all they prescribed were drugs that have horrible side-effects on your body. There was no face wash, lotions or really on depth like Cassandra describes. Maybe I got a bad one or something. She did do blood work though.

if you see her again, you could try to ask her to explain the science to you. if she won’t, it’s a red flag she isn’t passionate about her job. something they don’t tell you about med school is you don’t get to choose your specialized career. if you want to be a neurosurgeon, you can put in specific requests, but if you don’t get what you asked for, they might just throw you into dermatology and you’re stuck with it for the rest of your life. those doctors won’t give the best quality care if they can’t learn to love it.

Do you have any info on brown-ish pigmentation around the mouth? I have olive skin. Is that hyperpigmentation or a natural occurance due to my skin type? I can't wear liquid foundation because of it, around my mouth then looks like it has a gray undertone if I do.
Also, thanks for the info on azelaic acid!

    • @exodialc1277
      @exodialc1277 Год назад +1

U should try mandelic acid then
/ Azelaic acid is more for helping the red mark from pimple and help to remove it (to remove it more faster - the inflamation who cause the skin to get the red mark from it)
But if u have hyperpigmentation around your mouth, probably mandelic acid can help while exfoliating really gentle without cause you an weird discoloration, also I had the same thing as u but I'm a very fair ppl, around my mouth it was more 'pigmented' kinda weird gray sht, and I use a propolis serum and the numbuzin softening pore serum and it's definitely helped with my acne, discoloration, rosacea and all my sht acne problem
(the pore softening serum use fermented active who actually help with redness - pimplemark, help with skin barrier and so help with the 'pigmentation' of the skin, make it more '' clear '') and propolis help the same way too, + fighting acne too ~
I have the iunyk propolis serum ~

Try looking into Inmode Lumecca laser treatment. I did 3 sessions and it took away my hyperpigmentation. Make sure to check out at least three different providers because they shouldn’t be charging you a large amount of money for such a small area. Look for someone that is experienced and will charge $200 or less per treatment depending on your area. If the pigmentation is really bad after the three sessions, try looking into Morpheus8 microneeedling. I had large pigmentation on my forehead from not wearing sunscreen in my early 20s. It was such a large area and extremely dark that I used Lumecca IPL then waited 4 weeks and did the Morpheus8. My skin is completely clear of hyper pigmentation! Now I’m just dealing with hormonal acne lol 😩

As we age, our bodies don't produce collagen as much, hence skin sagging. Retinoids and VitC will help to boost your skins collagen production. UVA will destroy your skin on cellular level, so sun protection is a must! Also things like red light therapy, radio frequency treatment and ultrasound treatment (hifu) can help with collagen production.
I've used retinoids and Vit C for a decade and swear by them. Another favorite ingredient is co-enzyme Q10.

    • @stellab3269

It varies from person to person. Some people have more enzymes that trigger conversion and some have less.Anecdotally I notice side effects (small dry skin patches) within a couple days of trying a retinal (beauty of Boston). Roughly the same time that it takes me to see side effects with encapsulated low dose tret.

I see acne as a good thing because it's body detoxing in action as the system pushes stored toxins through the skin... The problem is that some of these toxins are sharp with a glass-like composition, which ends up wreaking-havoc on their way out and leaving terrible scars behind (my case)
Been suffering with it my whole life and studying alternative nutrition since 2018 and now I feel I got enough expertise to try some stuff... That's the thing I wrote I want to talk to you on that other vid: it can be through email if you want!
