      Makes sense because it is in slower motion that you can more clearly see the body movements. Similar like practicing instruments slowly.

    I think that if this was after a race, it would be a cooldown, unless another event is coming after.

      its a warmdown in that case. aimed to slightly elevate the heart rate and flush the body of waste products after the race. not doing so makes ur muscles a lot more stiff than needed to be.

      @@RiverS2091 Possibly Radmila means; try swimming at slow pace, focussing on technique first instead of exhausting yourself in sprints with poor technique.

    It's cooling down. The diving well was of higher temperature - also helps to relax the muscle.

    Smart Swimmers always do a Cool Down after any race. It helps move all that lactic acid out of the muscles.

      If his 50m was at the same slow speed then it is right - he just still keeping warming up. If after sprint - he is cooling down.
