she's an ABM by trade. and has four stars. ABMs (Air Battle Managers) are relatively new to the rated community in the Air Force. top tier folks. the fact that she's an ABM and a woman speaks volumes to her accomplishments.

Weird, I used to see her on the History channel (or what ever it was called back then) on a AWAC talking about the function of the plane. Caught my attention because she has the same last name as me and looks a awful lot like my wife. Also my wife's brother was a AF life'er and still works for them to this day. Today this 3 year old video pops up in my feed for no reason.

Classy, soft spoken, articulate, warm, humble and polite aren't necessarily male traits any more than they are observed in women to my knowledge? It's also in poor taste to ever discuss a woman's looks period, but especially when she's being discussed about her professional candor and iconic role in history? So reductive and the reason videos like this are sad to see don't make the point as too many people who obviously are willfully reinforcing the challenges we have as women instead of dismantling them. Look deeply into how toxic it was and inappropriate to come here and spread ignorance disguised as ' compliment'. Lori isn't pretty, she's beautiful. Her beauty comes from the soul and can be felt in the heart with how she's kind in a way that's so rare and keeps trying to communicate her success with support she has in family, both military and home life.
Great to hear of her accomplishments. I am still not sure whether women can withstand Battle of Bulge type of conditions.

The reason is that she has a dual hatted job....She was the commander of US Northern Command which is one the eleven unified combatant command of US military which means she reported to the president of USA through secretary of defence....Also she was the commander of North American Aerospace Defense Command(NORAD) which is a joint US-CANADIAN combined organization responsible for aerospace defence of North America which is why she also directly reported to the Canadian Prime Minister.

@theklamfyr I'll take an orange president that supports our military over one with the middle name Hussein who actively tries to weaken it. An by the way lots of people sought deferments back then. A relative of mine got one to go to medical school. Probably the right move genius.
@@Kromsmitesyou She was the Vice Commander of 405th Air Expeditionary Wing, Southwest Asia in 2003 which was responsible for all air force operations during the invasion of iraq as well as air operations in afghanistan....And before u bitch any further bullshit for your information most of the combatant commanders of US Unified Combatant Commands have never been in direct combat especially those from US Air Force and those who became senior officers i.e colonel and above before 9/11.
