@Nixon Leonidas i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Amazing attention to detail there. You can’t help but think if they’d all been protected like that in the factory, most D1s would still be on the road. 😬
Fantastic. Great workmanship. Also fair play to Norwest for tolerating you filming everything. Can't wait to see the next instalment. What have you in mind for cavity protection?
Thanks Colin. When you say cavity protection, do you mean inside the galvanised chassis? If so, we are probably going to Dinitrol it. FMK Vapour Blasting that done the body with their vapour blaster also apply Dinitrol.
Well she wont be getting smashed up on thorny bushes for the sake of it, thats for sure, but she will be used as intended. There might be a few tears right enough when the first scratches happen!
The back is still under construction at the moment. It will be a camper unit which doubles in height using electric actuators. If you go to our instagram or facebook pages you can see 3D models of it showing what it will be like.
Modded the outriggers. I think we spoke about this on facebook previously Nick. Check out our facebook public page, there are detailed photos of the work done to the chassis.
@@DonegalOverlanding found them cheers! Yes think we spoke when you were just setting out on the project so chassis work hadnt been done at that point!
Absolutely gorgeous - nothing left untouched. True masterpiece.
Thanks very much. These are the messages that encourage us to push further!

Long Ranger D1 cab on a standard defender 130 chassis with a body subframe? or did you mod the outriggers for D1 body?
