- Turning my landrover into an expedition rig - this is part 2 of the conversion! In this episode, we head over to expedition equipment to outfit Percy and do some changed into the interior. This is one exciting journey and I want to thank everybody for supporting me!

Good work, info re split charge relay. Its jobs is to separate the start and leisure batteries. This means when the engine is running, the relay allows your leisure battery to charge. When engine off, the batteries are separate, so if you run down the leisure battery, your start battery will still be ready to go.
The 140A is purely what current the relay is rated to.

PERCY is looking awesome with his new all terrain boots! The awning is amazing and buys you so much space, I think that’s as good a tent space as any. Looking forward to your travels and I am sure the word Scotland will feature. 😎
That awning is terrific, so spacious and easy to set up. Couldn't ask for more. I also really like how the rims turned out all painted up. Steel was a great choice for durability.-

Amazing! It’s all starting to come together! Can’t wait to see the progress. I’m hoping to build a little removable camping set up for my jeep in the summer and I’m getting so many ideas/inspiration from this series❤
Your Discovery build is so inspirational! The awning and shower are unlike anything I have ever seen! Percy was my Grandpa (Pompa’s name) his last name was Jackson. So I love hearing his name. The road and hiking paths are always calling me back to England where I was born. I live stateside now. Last year I was able to travel in a small Moho for 4 months living my dream and it did not disappoint! But I found I really didn’t need a Moho. Even a small one, a NuSurf was way to much for me. I’m now considering micro camper conversion but Percy is like a sparkly jewel that is kinda distracting me 😁🤣. You go girl!

One of the best channels. Most van lifer build channels are constantly rebuilding their van for the free merchandise & don't actually travel anywhere. Becky is the female version of Ray Mears who obviously adores the great outdoors & bushcraft. Puts other channels to shame. She has shown in past that you can make do with the bare necessities then add as she go along.
Extraordinary additions made with hard work. Well designed, these car‘s extentions will fill the needs! 😃

Looks good. I have set up my Discovery is a similar way. I have a tent on the roof, winch, lockers, solar power, refrigerator and more. I love the truck.

Brilliant video! Get yourself an ex MOD widetrack Sankey trailer and a NATO tow hitch. You can convert that into all sorts of things (sink, cooker, slide out hob, shower etc etc).
Been watching your videos on and off for, I don't know, a few years now I guess. You've come a long way since the little girl I first saw going out in the woods on her own. Well done you!
Nice one Beck! I'm from the land down under which as you can imagine, is 4x4 travelling paradise. Would recommend the concept of bedroom on the roof. ( all up not that heavy if you choose well) then all the vehicle becomes slide out kitchen and storage. Keep the centre of gravity low. And remember that weight is your enemy. Happy off roading!

Becky, great choice on the BF Goodrich and the batwing awning. Much smarter. I noticed your back wiper running, that motor won't last long if you always run it. Just run it enough to clear the glass then shut it off.😁
Can't beat that South African gear. My first experience of Eezi-awn was using their rooftop tents in Botswana. Great products. Camp Cover also great for organising / storage / protection.

Limo tint the rear windows and security film on the others starting to look realy good don't get it lifted or you won't reach the awning tint devil in kidderminster does a great job at window tinting

Love your video and so exciting to see Percy turning into an overlander! Great choice of equipment, Eezi-Awn gear is great quality which I had on my D2 for years in Oman. The same applies to BF Goodrich All-Terrains, they are simply the best in all conditions! Looking forward to your next video. So glad you kept the steel wheels they look so cool on an overlander! 👍

But I’d like to offer a bit of advice if I may…
I would seriously look into a DC to DC charge controller. It will keep the house battery a lot happier and it will last longer. If you decide to go to lithium, it is a must!
Do the research. I had the exact setup you have and my battery was done after six months.

You need to spray those counterbalance blocks black on the rims, keep them videos going, I’ve followed you for ages and you’re information is inspiring others to get out. 👍🏻

Hope you add some extra anti theft systems. A Disco tricked up like yours is a big attraction to thieves. 2 different systems / devices would be better

Really enjoying these videos.. just a little tip from somebody who’s had the same 2001 disco from new.. don’t rush that gear box, especially 1st to 2nd.. take some time and the gearbox will last!
... Nice to see the excitement ... Building up an overlander to your own likes and needs is rewarding process and over time changes can always be made ... With the limited space of a Landrover ,, a roof tent would be a good choice , especially when staying somewhere for more than a day or two ... Can't wait to see the adventures ahead ..... Things are looking fantastic Becky, giving "Percy" a speed tunnel on his roof :-), the awning is just fabulous and a proper shower area, your going all posh there Becky, good for you. As I would tell the lads in my troop, anyone can be uncomfortable it takes skill and planning to be out and about in comfort and be some what stylish. Percy's boots look like they should take you over some iffy terrain. Looking forward to seeing you all kitted out and on the trail.

Fascinating and timely to watch this build. I’ve got a D3 I’m looking at converting because I want to tour Iceland. My brother has a D2 with a similar 270° awning fitted and it is an awesome addition. Very practical.

I bought a 2002 Discovery series 2 and it already had roofrack, awning, bullbar & big lights, winch, new big tyres and reverse camera. Spent the last couple of months watching various build outs to get some ideas, looking forward to seeing what you do! Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺 👍

You won’t regret the BFG’s been running them for years. Best tyre. Some degreaser will get the blue off the white writing. Best of luck with your D2. I’m currently swapping my TD5 engine in mine.
