I used to car top my 10ft pelican bass raider and it was kind of a bear, but videos of these 8ft boats make me want to consider one again! : )
When i go solo, i take my kayak. But if I am taking someone else, i end up hauling two kayaks, which is good and all, but when they need help, it can be tricky helping from my own kayak. I think a setup like this would be great if i go with someone that is much less experienced or i an going with someone that needs more help.
Just bought my second one me and my son use it every weekend got the boat for 670 at dicks bought a minn koto 30 lbs of thrist trollin motor and a Walmart deepcycle for 90 bucks picked up a cheap ore just in case under a grand total and we love it out in all day long we hit all different lakes does need more motor though should of bought the bigger minn koto but other then that it’s perfect I put it in the bed of my truck with a rachet strap and we’re gone
I ended up going with the 10ft and I can certainly say I do not regret it at all! It definitely isn’t the best wind resistant boat but it will get you where you need to be, when you want to be there. Great video!!
The 10 looks awesome! Also, I’d check out my rudder build video, that thing has decreased my drifting in wind by over half.

i just rebuilt my 1997 suzuki carry kei truck with a custom cage over the bed for a kayak and ive been looking into small platform kayaks when i found this boat, it looked perfect for what i enjoy doing (small lake/river bottom fishing) im glad i found ur video going over a lot of information that i couldnt get from the selling site cause its convinced me to get it :D

I had the same boat. Loved it but wasn't enough room to fish with another person happily 😂 so I just got into a bass raider 10E.
Smart choice. If I fished more regularly with 2 people I would’ve made the switch too, but I’m usually solo boating it cause of filming videos. Works for the occasional 2 person trip

You won't regret it. I had this exact same boat. Although I loved the boat it wasn't fun with 2 ppl. The two extra feet really make a difference

What about creeks? How high does it set up in water? How shallow will it run
I’m gonna be testing that this fall! I can run it in a couple feet of water no problem

Not in store, but most small trailer would fit this easily

Bought those rod holders and it’s too big for the tubing. Did you add anything to make them fit?
Which ones were they, the hitorhike ones that mount to the side railings or the Scotty ones that attach to a side mount?

How does it do from wake from other boats.....?
For the most part it does ok…if u take it on head first it will slosh water over the top, if u roll from the side it becomes unstable. Pick your poison I guess!

@@humbugvideos owner claims there's no holes, if there was, I'd plastic weld them up... I plan to fish a large reservoir with it, just me
