    Nice to see you get the install of the Striker 4 up and running. Too bad about the trolling motor, but glad you got it all together in the end.

    Yeah I watched a few video reviews on this boat and yours so far is the best. Even though you were wearing your wife’s shorts and shoes, they kinda matched.
    Really enjoyed you taking your time to show us the mods including the handle issue. Super helpful! The biggest piece for me was that you actually took the time to video yourself having a great time doing what we enthusiast love….. Fishing. Looks like you had fun brother!
    Thanks for sharing.

    Just got a 10' prowler for the fam. Close to the same setup except I have the 45 thrust. We are right in the middle of tons of lakes to hit. We are all very excited. Great video, really like the chapters.

    That scotty xducer mount is designed to go on a horizontal surface! I so badly wanted to stop you from drilling those holes!

      Dang, I wish you could have, haha. I had no idea I was going to mount it at the top, but I didn't think it would make it into the water even though it seems so close 😅.... well, next time, this was trial and error... thanks for watching ❤

    Fellow tucsonian I've got a 10.5 ft bass hound all set up with graph, 40 pd trust troller and a 2.3 hp gas motor also. even installed a custom canopy on it. Bad little boat gets me on the water pretty much everywhere. I have a small 4×6 ft trailer that I don't use anymore I can sell you for cheap if you're interested

      No I'm not selling my boat or it's trailer. But I do have a early 2000's 4 ft by 6 ft trailer I don't use anymore i'd sell for $200 that would be perfect for that pond prowler. Or hell I'd give it to you for a day on the lake with some like minded peeps.

    I thought the wires were already pre ran on those boats so you don’t have to run a cable all the way to the back

    • @GeekGeezerFishing
      @GeekGeezerFishing  6 месяцев назад +1

      They do have a plug there but I don't have anything to plug into it? I suppose you could buy a plug and wire the trolling to that. Great idea. The guy I bought the prowler from said that plug was to plug in lights so I didn't even think about it as an option for the trolling. Thanks for your comment and question. Tight lines 🎣.

    What wire connection kit trolling motor to jumper cable are you using and where did you buy it?

    • @GeekGeezerFishing
      @GeekGeezerFishing  10 месяцев назад +1

      So I went to an electrical supply house, and I got a direct burial connection. Once I tightened and heat shrunk it, I think it's water tight enough.... it is not marine grade but figured it is better than electrical tape.

  • @monzsterman
    @monzsterman 3 месяца назад

    So what was the initial reason the trolling motor didnt work before you destroyed it?

    • @GeekGeezerFishing
      @GeekGeezerFishing  3 месяца назад +1

      Haha... great question...As far as I know it worked before I pulled out the handle. I never even tested it before I pulled out the handle it was brand new. I was simply pulling out the handle Because I thought you could pull out that handle.But I found out when you remove that handle. It actually smashes internal components which I was on aware of. And I thought I would share it with people even though it makes me look a little stupid. But that way no one else makes that same mistake.
