I had only heard the name MGK, and had no idea really who he was, until I saw this movie. His acting won me over and to find out his talent is limitless was a great addition! And, he’s beautiful!
I gotta say MGK really surprised me! the guy that plays Nikki really didn't sound like Nikki if that make sense, so that kinda bugged me. All in all it was good but I think they could've made it a longer movie. It's been awhile since I read The Dirt but seems like they cut alot out. But again big props to MGK for playing Tommy...he had the mannerisms, the voice, etc. Good rock movie though. Motley Crue for life!!
Humanumikey i agree. So much to cram into 108 minutes. There were quite a few things they didn’t touch on, like WHY Nikki started using (car accident). Or how Nikki had met Mars years earlier at a liquor store and Nikki went to watch one of mars shows. They could have made this like a 6/7 episode mini series or mini doc. Teenage Nikki had the rage and rebellion that Nikki had. The adult Nikki in the movie was lacking that angst. MGK did Tommy perfectly. I’m going to say it was pretty hard to cast for Vince since he had specific little nuances and his smile was unique. However the actor who played him nailed his mannerisms as far as how he walked and carried himself
They didnt blame mic. A lady from the hotel called the police and said a guy with long black hair was running around naked. Mic was the first one to answere the door.
For all the women drooling over the longhair metal guys, it was a great time to be alive in the 80s, being a teenager and enjoying all the hair metal bands.
Personally I believe this movie was truer to reality than was Bohemian Rhapsody. Since so many are drawing comparisons I figure I'll throw my two cents in. The CRUE were courageous enough to show the good, bad and the ugly. Truth can be very hard to display for the world to see. Many of these things that these guys went through were very dark and disturbing, very personal yet they still they put it out there for all to see with out sugar coating it. That's why the critics in my opinion don't like, because it was too much like reality. Well folks I applaud The CRUE for doing so. They could have cleaned it up like I feel they did with Bohemian Rhapsody. So in my humble opinion this film was better. To me it felt as if in the film Bohemian Rhapsody Freddie's behavior was somewhat mellowed for whatever reason. I believe Freddie would have said, " What the hell, show it all I'm gone so what's the harm". But who knows. Yet I digress, The Dirt revealed what lots of money and fame mixed in with copious amounts of drugs and no one to answer to can lead to. It's amazing that they all survived their journey. I for one appreciate the brutally honest take the CRUE gave us with this film.
It was so authentic. The guy who played Vince really nailed it in the dramatic scenes with the car accident and his daughter. I was really impressed and glad they took their time making it, and didn't gloss over the gritty parts.
4:13 onwards, as the older mediator figure for the trio, Iwan's like "wrap it up, just... be done with it, not while K's here... oh god have you got no mercy?!" inside his head... and he's absolutely got a point.
I watched this last night..knew nothing about it..Looked up the Cast afterward and Had No idea that MGK played Tommy Lee. He was Spot on!! Much resoect..Great Actor!! ❤️👍🏻

I loved the film it was great but it didn't even compare to the book
Can we go back in time, please and thanks!
Would love to be in the 80s
I lived the 80’s in my twenties and hated it.
@@starbomb4091 Really ? I lived them too in my 20's and I looooved it soooo much! Would go back in time without a second thought, life was such a blast back then !!!
Cell28 I prefer the 70’s and now.
Yeah.....the 80's was the best decade for me....best movies, best music, so many different styles. Fantastic!
@@Mortthemoose I totally agree with you! I often say that my High School and early 20's were absolutely, undeniably the BEST BEST BEST time of my life, because I got to live it in the 80's
Nikkis book the heroin diaries is a damn good book.
I have 5 yrs clean, but spent 16 yrs in the hell of opiate addiction. I wouldn't wish that hell on my worse enemy.
I was extremely impressed with MGK and his depiction of Tommy Lee. Bravo.
I never heard of machine gun kelly, I didn't know anything about him, just this thing with eminem.
I listened to his songs(even if I don't really listen to rap music very often)
watched videos of him and I think he's a really cool and funny guy.
don't judge a book by its cover
i think that's what i learned about MGK :)
he is great
I had only heard the name MGK, and had no idea really who he was, until I saw this movie. His acting won me over and to find out his talent is limitless was a great addition! And, he’s beautiful!
Holly Shit M.g.K Playing Tommy Lee did such a great job.
Loved seeing the young Slash have a small cameo. Hopefully a movie will be made out of his book
Slash?
hell billy He was laying on the couch during the scene where nikki sixx overdoses
That's because in real life the overdose took place partying with members of Guns n Roses....
“Doesn’t sound very cool with a British accent” 😂🤘
There’s a lot of Biopics coming out .
The guy who plays Vince has been absent from every interview I’ve watched. 🤔
Paul Maldonado his daughter had cancer
@@r41c25 that's in the movie 😂
Ricardo Cantu Thst was like 30 years ago
Paul Maldonado i think he did one for the Hollywood Reporter.
From what I have heard, he is recording a movie right now. So he can't be in any interviews
They did such a great job! I lived the 80s and this brought back a ton of memories!
Machine Gun Kelly should play Anthony Kiedis in a Red Hot Chili Peppers biopic! 🎭🎨🥁🎸
You mean, big props for MGK playing Tommy, right? Loved the movie too, btw. ;)
@@cell28 opps my bad. lol
I fixed it now
@@Humanumikey great! Thank you!
Lol @ 3:38 “Dude, he was HANGRY”
Those 2 guys did really great American accents for being English
English and Welsh 😂
Tonnes of English, and just generally British actors do spot on American accents
4:14 man... MGK looked like he could relate or something...
He was addicted to heroin years back. So glad he kicked it.
For all the women drooling over the longhair metal guys, it was a great time to be alive in the 80s, being a teenager and enjoying all the hair metal bands.
Machine Gun Kelly should play Anthony Kiedis in a Red Hot Chili Peppers biopic! 🎭🎨🥁🎸
Machine Gun Kelly should play Anthony Kiedis in a Red Hot Chili Peppers biopic! 🎭🎨🥁🎸
Super cool movie. I read the book when it first came out and was floored by those stories. They deff left alot of insane things out of the movies haha
It was so authentic. The guy who played Vince really nailed it in the dramatic scenes with the car accident and his daughter. I was really impressed and glad they took their time making it, and didn't gloss over the gritty parts.
Filming should've taken a lot longer than 2 months. It was good for a movie, but not a Crue movie.
He looked just like him!! And the actor is so young too
4:13 onwards, as the older mediator figure for the trio, Iwan's like "wrap it up, just... be done with it, not while K's here... oh god have you got no mercy?!" inside his head...
and he's absolutely got a point.
Ramsay Bolton looked more like what he was supposed to look like in GoT
I watched this last night..knew nothing about it..Looked up the Cast afterward and Had No idea that MGK played Tommy Lee. He was Spot on!! Much resoect..Great Actor!! ❤️👍🏻
LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS MOVIE!!!!!!! THEY ALL DID AWESOME! MGK ESPECIALLY NAILED TOMMY LEE THOUGH! 11 OUT OF 10!!!! ❤❤❤❤🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
2:48 Love Douglas's involuntary little air guitar
Netflix now has had two of misfits stars on it know
lmao I got a rehab ad right after this video. youtube knows you're probably high if you're listening to Motley Crue hahah
Wait what is Ramsay Snow doing there?!?
Idunno why is Snape here? didnt you get killed by "he who shall not be named cuz i cant spell it" ?
I was watching the movie thinking he was just going to randomly stab someone.
@@cloudsofgray lmao good one
Wait, why is MGK here? Didn't he get killed by eminem?
@@JG-dh4pe Obviously not dipshit
I was now years old when I found the guy from GoT plays Mick Mars, I knew he looked so familiar!
I loved this movie didn't take my eyes of the screen, screw the critics was a great watch!!
Did any one notice Daniel Webber who played Vince Neil isn't there
I don't know why MGK said in another interview he'll never ask to Tommy Lee for a fashion advice, because maan he looks waay too hot with Tommy's look🔥
Douglas Booth too. He looks totally hotter as Nikki😍🔥
Where was the actor of VINCE NEIL in all of this he’s straight up missing
Machine Gun Kelly’s natural eye color is the same as John Deacon’s dark haired son Luke Deacon’s natural eye color.
I wish the movie was longer
Everyones talking about mgk but RAMSEY BOLTON IS HERE TOO
Where is the dude who plays Vince Neil? I never see him in any videos or interviews.
Great job guys I really enjoyed the hell out of it !! 🤘🏻🇺🇸👊🏻
Where's the guy who played? He's not in any of the pictures of the premier or any of the interviews.
Where’s the actor that played Vince🤔
Alicia Walker I believe he’s shooting another film atm, I want to see more of him in these interviews, he did amazing!
roxy galicia Thought so thank you
Party on wayne!!
The scenes when Vince's daughter died had me in tears
This movie was GREAT BUT when can we get a Guns N Rose's movie like so!?.... 🤘🏻💋😍
Did anyone else catch that kelz demeanor changed when they started talking about the h overdose
Please please bring back the 80s metal not this shit now a days just. Just saying long live the crew
RIGHT ON!!!!
You know it JD
Motley Crue wasn't and isn't Metal... sorry.. they're glam arena rock
His impression of Mick 😂😂😂
Dead
i knew it was machine gun kelly, at first i was like... no tattoos but i was like MAKEUPPPP
First saw Daniel Weber in the Punisher. Absolutely proud of all of them
Awesome movie! These actors did a stellar job.....it could have turned out cheesy as hell, but they nailed the vibe, the fun, the era and the great songs. A classic. Well done.
Much love to the crew!. You guys will always live in the hearts of us fans
FOREVER!!!
MGK belongs as an actor than a rapper. This ones a good route for you
No. I like them both but his muisc is better
Why not both
Late 90s baby here but still love me some Motley Crue
Movie was sick!!
Where's the Vince Neil actor?
Mgk did amazing in the dirt, great job! 👏
All four guys did a great job portraying the real life members , but Douglas booth and Iwan did a phenomenal job.
MG was awesome playing TL in this movie! 🤘
Awesome job! Watched it twice
Will watch it a few more times , it is addicting..! :)
MGK played tommy lee? Ok fellow clevelander good job!
The hardest part for all the actors must have been watching the mud wrestling girls at the Whisky A Go Go. lol 🤣
Man mgk's face really shifts when they start talking about heroin. Glad he's clean these days, strong dude.
Both of Machine Gun Kelly’s biological parents were heroin addicts. Machine Gun Kelly was adopted.
Just watched this movie yesterday on a whim, and I was blown away. It's a very dark story but it's told so well
Anybody else think that MGK should move on to rock??
