Christian 77 You aren't paying for luxury in a 430 Scuderia. You're paying for performance and nothing more. Power seats are slow and unnecessary anyway.
If I'm trying to save weight, power seats are the first thing I'm getting rid of. They're completely unnecessary and they're really heavy. I'd be much more reluctant to remove other luxuries like the radio or AC which actually do serve a purpose.

IMO the F430 body design is one of the best looking Ferrari cars ever. I've been lucky enough to see a couple of these in person and i'm always impressed by how classy yet badass it looks.

Got one last year and it´s one of the most hardcore Ferraris on the market. I had a 458 before the Scud, I would NEVER change to a 458 again. I think I´m stuck with this one :)

As much crap as I talk about Dougs videos you would think I hate his videos. Not at all. I am simply nit picking a video that is meant to nit pick wether a car is worth buying or not. I watch all of Dougs videos. He does good rating it at the end he gives a practicality rating for all cars that are just so impractical in accessibility like this one. Just making a note that the title says "why this car is worth $250,000" but for $250,000 its like you are paying for a good engine and a car that can handle the engine on the road well and the brand label and nothing else, not even a cd player or radio.
This is literally my dream car and I got to drive it around a track in Vegas. A car that you grab by the scruff of the neck and throw it around, and it just sticks and goes through the corner how you want. Loved the violent up-shifts while on full throttle.. an experience to remember.

All of that weighs less than the manual version and power windows are safer than manual ones. This was supposed to be a track version of the F430. You're not going to adjust your seating position twenty times during the day.

You have to remember, when you're saving weight (by taking out the car radio/head unit) it's not just the weight of the radio/head unit, it's also all the wiring as well as all the speakers and all together, depending on how many speakers come with the standard car (and whether it has a dedicated amplifier and/or subwoofer), that really can easily add up to 20 KG. Obviously, the F430 Scuderia is a track day car, so to purchase this car for "every day driving" and going to the store, dropping the kids off at school etc. Would not be very "practical".
The F430 Scuderia or "Ferrari 430 Scuderia" is for serious driving/racing, if you want a Ferrari to just casually drive around in and use all the modern "gadgets" everybody is used to (Air-Con, Audio Player/System, Electric Seats etc.) Then to buy a car that's been lightened for the very purpose of making it faster (racing) and to expect it to be more luxurious and have more "gadgets" (because of the price increase, sometimes hundreds of thousands of Dollars more) really would be unrealistic and people should really check what these cars are made for first, before buying one, as they are usually more powerful, a LOT less comfortable and they contain a lot less modern-day "comforts" (gadgets/tech).

I just drove one of these. (An hour ago) It’s such a livable car it’s just perfect.. it’s only 500hp but the weight and the RPMs you have to work with are just a great combination to make a very ruthless weapon if you need it. If I could afford one I would certainly buy it. It’s not scary, well composed and just a hint of psychotic. It’s there if you want to use it but very well composed. You have a bit of a blind spot but just be mindful. It is what it is at this point. Lol. Was a blast to drive and I just wish I had some mountain roads Togo canyon carving but I’ll settle for a mix drive of country side and city excitement with a splash of highway blasts. 😎😎

The rocker panels are painted carbon fiber too. The carbon fiber door handles was an option someone put on the car. The reason the beep was so long is because you turned the car off in neutral and Ferrari wants you to turn it off in 1st gear so the car does not roll away. Parking brake is not very strong to avoid cracking a hot carbon ceramic real rotor. I'm pretty sure it is 510 horsepower which is 20 more than the standerd 490 HP F430. As you can tell, I have one.

FYI - the beep when you remove the key off the ignition, is not a quirk as you mention in the video, it just reminds the "unaware" driver to put the car in gear prior to turning the engine off... its a safety measure :-)

I was blessed to have rented the Scuderia and he's 100% correct, the sound is out of this world. I like it better than the 458 speciale because of the visceral raw and fun experience. I've heard lesser tuned symphony's than the engine and the quick jerky shifts are just plain fun. Newer supercars are too smooth and insulated. I'm not surprised they are so expensive compared to the regular.

FYI: The reason for keeping climate control is that under hot conditions drivers performance significantly decrease. That’s why you also have climate control kept in car in a lot of professional racing classes. The radio was an extra option and there are plenty of scuderias out with a radio.
The Ferrari F430 is becoming desirable among collectors. Clean, low mileage examples are starting to bring in big money.
