"Automatic Shoots" means when the fuel pump trigger automatically stops. This is to avoid overfilling.. Then they want you to wait 10 seconds after the fuel has stopped before removing to make sure all the gas has emptied and doesn't leak all over the car.
On the fuel cap, when tank is full the fuel nozzle will automatically disable (at least here in the Netherlands) some people continue after this to get a few more liters of fuel in... then you have to wait 10 seconds before removing nozzle to not risk dropping fuel on the paint job... is my best guess haha
doesnt matter if gas gets on paint all factory clear coats are partially chemical resistant and gas is one of them gas will evap pretty quick on body of car but may leave it a little sticky and attract dirt .
to fill it after the nozzle stopped is afaik a stupid idea. if im right, under the car is a valve which opens if the tank is full. so high possibilty (probably depends on the car) you just pay for petrol, which you dont even use.
"No more than two automatic shoots" really translates to something more akin to "no more than two automatic shuts." When filling the gas tank, the fuel will cut off automatically as it gets to the top, but sometimes it cuts off early, so it’s telling you to try pumping once more, and once that cuts off a second time you stop fueling, leave the pump in for 10 seconds to make sure all leftover fuel drains out, and then remove the pump and close the tank, and you’re ready to rock and roll. This prevents unnecessary fuel from dripping out of the pump tip and damaging the paint.
That would be an american thing. it means don't squeeze it more than twice after its full so the charcoal canister doesn't get flooded with fuel rendering it useless otherwise you'll get a check engi e light
The gas door means once the pump automatically shuts off don’t squeeze it more then twice trying to get it “more full” or round up to next dollar. The reason for the 10 seconds is its telling you to hold it straight upright and let drops of gas flow into tank instead off of the nozzle and landing on your paint.

The fuel cap is referring to the automatic shut off on the pump. It means don't "top off" more than two times. After your last top off, wait 10 seconds and then remove the nozzle.
Yeah, those instructions seem pretty obvious to me, not sure why Doug had a problem with them. Especially his comment about it taking longer than 10 seconds to fill it up. The 10 seconds very clearly applies to the time between steps 3 and 4, not the entire fill-up process.
And if u knew the year in the past? That makes no sense because as if what I see what u were saying I think u meant if you knew what year was I the past and what it is now idk what u mean but ok
Doug, the reason they say to keep the fuel pump in the fuel filler hatch AFTER the tank is filled is because the ten second increment allows fuel drops to drip out of the pump, so that when you pull the pump out, gas does not drip on your paint.
Also to equalize air pressure, I had a fuel tank explode in an older car when I topped it off and closed it too fast. The air pressure was compressing the spot welds on the fuel tank, and that popped, sparking the fuel and exploding. Nobody was hurt.
Doug, you did not say anything about the 812’s headroom, legroom, comfort compared to the F8 or any other car. The 812 allows taller, larger drivers to be a lot more comfortable than these other models, and brands.
"No more than 2 automatic shoots" means don't lock the lever on the pump nozzle more than twice while filling (the auto fill feature controlled by a vacuum that most pumps have, allows you to let go of the pump handle and still fill the tank) The ten second delay is meant for after you've finished fueling, for what I assume is vapor recovery, or less chance of dripping fuel onto the paint.

Doug what the instructions on the fuel is talking about when you go to fill up the gas tank and you put the little clip at the bottom of the fuel handle so that it automatically fills up. What they are saying is not to automatically use that more than 2 times, because you might overfill the gas tank and some gas may go in the overflow tube which is actually meant to be used for fuel gasses. It's not the paint. It looks plain because there's a lack of contrast on the exterior. Should've gone with darker rims. Or darker or other paint color should the owner stick with those rims. It's always nice to have a bit contrast.
Explanation: 1. Every single style line on the body is there for 1. Downforce 2. Cooling 2. The fuel filler, 2 clicks: every gas station in Europe and most of the world has a sensor that clicks when the fuel gun senses that there is no more space in the fuel tank. The first click is to tell you that its almost full, the second click is to tell you that there is no more space in the fuel line that runs to the fuel tank. If you ignore the clicks it will start spilling. The third image is to tell you to wait 10 seconds before pulling out, petrol can damage the parts and body where it dripped, so waiting 10 seconds it assures you that there will be no petrol spilled. Who did you impress with "not knowing" these stuff a 10 year old child?
Mparmpalakis you said it, something exclusive to your country. It is reasonable that people who’s countries gas stations do not provide these features will not be familiar with instructions directed for these features. Get off your high horse
Branislav SS I doubt all of the lines are for aero Yeah Ferrari might tell you this but you must be that 10years old if you belive they dont put lines that dont Really increase downforce but looks stylish
15:42 Hello Doug. This is a viewer from S.Korea. Actually that is japanese. It is read [nihonggo]. 한국어 is korean langauge and sometimes company prefers 한글[Hangeul] which means korean alphabet.
The fuel cap warning probably explains the following: When the tank is full, it will automatically cut off. However there is some more room left. So Ferrari warns you to have the fuel line cut off a maximum of 2 times, after which wait 10 seconds for the pump handle to drip out before removing the handle.
One of your viewers has a 400,000 ferrari??? What in the world? I thought that we're all driving 300$ wrecks with either pop-up lights or wood panels on the sides...

Im sorry, but I doubt that your friend has a 5 million dollar car collection in just those 2 cars, that I believe Doug has not done a video on as well.
As a mechanic, let me explain. It all is related to the fuel vapor canister. Do Not overfil. 10 second delay before removing nozzle allows the vapor return system to pressurize. A vapor canister on a ford Econoline costs around $150 plus over 1 hour labor. Can not even imagine a Ferrari cost no matter what model
23:07 "...and therefore I will never be able to have it" well... old Doug wouldn't believe that he would be the future owner of his ultimate dream car (not in a context of 812 ofc).
I think “2 automatic shoots” means when the gas nossle triggers itself automatically meaning is full... so in other words to prevent overflow of gas. And the “10 second” is to let all the excess gas stops when full and you don’t drip gas on your expensive Ferrari paint
6 лет назад+36
When fueling your car, at full tank, pump stops this called shoot and you can fill up a little more, second stop/shoot happens that means car is fully loaded with fuel. And after the second shoot, you need to wait ten seconds for fuel to settle so no overflow or spill happens. I dont know about american pumps, i think they are different so Doug doesnt understands the sticker but in europe or in my case Türkiye 🇹🇷, pumps work this way.
ARK Kağan I’m sure he plays dumb at times but this wasn’t one, it’s just a case of attrocious english. Your comment had me convinced you were trolling at first but despite the incorrect English /wording/grammar you did an excellent job at providing enough additional detail/context in simple terms to make up for the fact the main statement was so poorly written &left so much lost in translation. Understanding how the pump works is simple enough even if pumps didn’t work that way in US, but you could be intimately familiar with that sort of fuel pump and the sticker still wouldn’t make any sense, because the wording must be a direct translation without being adjusted for American English dialect, that’s just not how you’d speak of/describe the use of that type of pump in US english
Well, this car is evolution of F12, which came out before Corvette in current styling, so Corvette copied Ferrari, not the other way around. But, there aren't many ways in which you can design front engine supercar
Answer to the fuel cap, I believe, is simple.. you fill it all the way up with one automatic shoot. Then when it stops automatically (as they do when they are full), you can hit it again as it often sinks a bit below due to air. This is 2 automatic shoots all together. A third one may overfill it, spilling gasoline. Then you should wait 10 second after it has released, before you actually start removing it, as some gasoline may be left on the pump and will spill on your car. You don't want gasoline on your paint.. do you Doug?
The 2 automatic shoot only means, the car will automatically detect fuel tank is full and stop the nozzle flow only 2 times, 3rd time it will not stop it and you will spill the fuel and overflow, and the 10 second means wait 10 seconds from stopping the flow of the fuel nozzle to pull out the fuel nozzle, to prevent overflow of the fuel tank
you might be right, he says he doesn't know what the button on the trunk (looks like the car) is, it's probably just to pop the trunk from the inside. ezpz
For 5:10, I think the graph is showing that you should lift the nozzle and let it drip a bit after fueling up for 10 sec to make sure no fuel will drip to your expensive paint. That two automatic shots might refer to not forcing the fuel pump to pump gas into your car after two auto-stop?
Doug, the gas instructions refer to filling up the tank. At least in Europe, when you are trying to fill up, the pistol will trigger automatically once it detects the tank is getting close to full (there's a pressure sensor). When you really want to top it, you need to press the trigger again, sometimes more than once. What those instructions say is, you should only allow two more consecutive automatic trigger pulls and rest the pistol 10 seconds to avoid spilling. That's all that is.
I think it means don’t overfill up to 2 autostops of the fuel pump & leave the pump nozzle for about 10secs from the time the pump automatically stops before pulling it out of the refueling pod. This prevents spills of excess fuel which could be dangerous in a hypercar.
Doug I don't know about you but the fuel cap model makes complete sense. 1) Place the fuel nozzle and pull the handle until it kicks out. 2) When it automatically fills up, don't top it up with more than two more pumps of the handle. 3) Wait 10 seconds for all of the extra gas to leak out of the pump so you don't get it on your fancy SUPERFAST.
Practicality is a 3, not a 6. My mistake! Thanks for all the tweets ;)

They were extra languages, probably Italian is default.
Italian is being very badly bastardized by English anyway so they are used to it
Italian is default

Most customers probably aren't Italian anyways.
I think PS stands for “Partenza Sportiva” (which is what we call Launch control in Italian) not Power Start.
Exactly
Well all the other commands are displayed in english, so it might well be "power start", or maybe they just found a clever way to make it work in both languages

Oscar Lee yellow for sure
I agree, the only way this car is justified is if Doug gets arrested for putting his greasy hands all over that body
Yes it does.
It's not the paint. It looks plain because there's a lack of contrast on the exterior. Should've gone with darker rims. Or darker or other paint color should the owner stick with those rims. It's always nice to have a bit contrast.
Imagine it in Ferrari Red !!!
Explanation:
1. Every single style line on the body is there for 1. Downforce 2. Cooling
Wake up, it's all "comment-bait". RUclips pays based on interactions - views, likes, dislikes and comments. You've been played.
Branislav SS the style lines are not all for downforce lol. They’re mostly for style. Especially the ones on the rear. Stop bullshitting.
Mparmpalakis you said it, something exclusive to your country. It is reasonable that people who’s countries gas stations do not provide these features will not be familiar with instructions directed for these features.
Get off your high horse
Branislav SS I doubt all of the lines are for aero
Yeah Ferrari might tell you this but you must be that 10years old if you belive they dont put lines that dont Really increase downforce but looks stylish
3 won't be an issue since most of ferrari owners ppf their cars
15:42 Hello Doug. This is a viewer from S.Korea. Actually that is japanese. It is read [nihonggo]. 한국어 is korean langauge and sometimes company prefers 한글[Hangeul] which means korean alphabet.
Finally the comment I was gonna make
The fuel cap warning probably explains the following: When the tank is full, it will automatically cut off. However there is some more room left. So Ferrari warns you to have the fuel line cut off a maximum of 2 times, after which wait 10 seconds for the pump handle to drip out before removing the handle.

Doug, it's summer. It is no longer appropriate to wear under shirts. Bring out the fishnet tank tops.

I think “2 automatic shoots” means when the gas nossle triggers itself automatically meaning is full... so in other words to prevent overflow of gas. And the “10 second” is to let all the excess gas stops when full and you don’t drip gas on your expensive Ferrari paint
ARK Kağan maybe he acted stupid so people would comment on his videos 😂
James Banks if that he case, he is smooth
He definitely plays dumb on purpose.
ARK Kağan red....only!
Understanding how the pump works is simple enough even if pumps didn’t work that way in US, but you could be intimately familiar with that sort of fuel pump and the sticker still wouldn’t make any sense, because the wording must be a direct translation without being adjusted for American English dialect, that’s just not how you’d speak of/describe the use of that type of pump in US english

doug the type of guy to hit the wet mode of the car when he's sweating profusely
Doug is the type of guy to iron his cargo shorts
Answer to the fuel cap, I believe, is simple.. you fill it all the way up with one automatic shoot. Then when it stops automatically (as they do when they are full), you can hit it again as it often sinks a bit below due to air. This is 2 automatic shoots all together. A third one may overfill it, spilling gasoline. Then you should wait 10 second after it has released, before you actually start removing it, as some gasoline may be left on the pump and will spill on your car. You don't want gasoline on your paint.. do you Doug?
Doug progressively looks more like Jack Nicholson in The Shining as he begins to sweat.

The writing on the fuel door is an IQ test.
Doug got a low DougScore on it.
Doug is stupid. No IQ at all.
I think Doug knows, but he plays stupid so stupid viewers will think it's a "quirk".
you might be right, he says he doesn't know what the button on the trunk (looks like the car) is, it's probably just to pop the trunk from the inside. ezpz

raykrislianggi - AniMusic glad somebody said it
Thank you.
Yes it is
Doug mentioned Spanish and French and provided silly reasons why, what about Italian, because y'know, it's an Italian car?
They don't even look alike.
Doug, you still didn't tell us why you removed the Audi A8 L video.
Khoqan I think he removed a video of the BMW i8 too🤔

😂🤣 oh Doug
Doug the type a guy to sweat buckets inside ur brand new $400,000.00 Ferrari 812 Superfast...
I think it means don’t overfill up to 2 autostops of the fuel pump & leave the pump nozzle for about 10secs from the time the pump automatically stops before pulling it out of the refueling pod. This prevents spills of excess fuel which could be dangerous in a hypercar.
Doug the kinda guy to get comments telling him the kinda guy he is
Doug I don't know about you but the fuel cap model makes complete sense.
7:24 are you sure that's not a button? No shit it's a button because its a Ferrari\ a $400,000 car!
