Dr. Amen made some pretty big generalizations there at the beginning, and then Tana came back and saved it. I am a Kwik Brain in training with fairly severe inattentive-type ADHD and I love using Jim's methods to improve my brain. I ordered Dr. Amen's book, but am hoping it falls more on Tana's open-minded, neurodivergent side and is not full of over-generalizations that have plagued the ADHD community for decades.

Wow! This is literally eye opening, very very interesting and it definitely helped understand a lot. I've always tried to remain healthy, I hit the gym up pretty often, I stay away from anything that has potential of wasting my time and bad for the internal soul but this video really reinforced my beliefs of maintaining a natural healthy lifestyle and how important it is to always push yourself to keep learning something new in life (in or out of school).

Why are they still calling these things a “disorder” when it is frequently accepted and propagated that it has many benefits and often leads to highly successful people (entrepreneurship, inventors, mathematicians, scientists, high level tramer surgeons, higher survival rate in combat soldiers) and when toned can lead to the individual reaching their highest capabilities.

So how can people with ADHD improve their short term memory, something most ADHD have a really hard time with. Are their any tips or strategies? Because right now I basically assume I will forget everything within seconds of thinking it and try different tactics (like "Hey Google remind me in 3 minutes to take the kids to school") because otherwise 80% of the time I'll get distracted and forget whatever I was doing.
What was I talking about again?

Well I was diagnosed last year with the inattentive type. And although it is harder for us to memorize things and we are more prone to distractions. Good habits are our best friend. Develop habits that will counter your distractions wether its picking up your phone every 5 seconds or doing anything it is that you know is hurtful to the condition. from reading jims book i now know everything brain mind is like a muscle. memory, distractibility, learning, anything. We just have to work harder to get better. Dont give up.
