Jim Kwik is an entrepreneur, business coach, and literal genius. He is the Founder and CEO of Kwik Learning, an online brain training and learning firm where he teaches people how to get the most out of their minds. Jim suffered a brain injury at the age of five, which led to slow brain performance and left him struggling in school. As the years wore on, he undertook a journey to learn about his brain - why it was “broken” and what he could do to fix it.
That journey led him to discover different learning habits, including accelerated learning systems and tactics. He spent years training his brain for speed-reading and memory improvement. Companies like SpaceX and Virgin, owned by billionaire geniuses like Richard Branson and Elon Musk, have trained with him. He’s also trained major celebrities and political leaders such as Will Smith, Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and many others.
Jim just released his new book Limitless: Upgrade Your Brain, Learn Anything Faster, and Unlock Your Exceptional Life on April 28th, 2020. As a kid, Jim loved superheroes and comic books inspired him to reach for greatness, even when people told him it was impossible. Over the years, Jim unlocked his greatest superpower - his mind - and you can too.
I had Jim Kwik on The School of Greatness back in the early days, and I was so excited to have him back on the show. Join me on Episode 947 to learn about how your mind can accomplish far more than you’ve ever imagined with the incredible Jim Kwik!

I was so painfully shy it kept me from doing many things. Couldnt stand up in school eventhough I knew the answers. In junior high I forced myself to memorize everything, book reports, etc. Which helped a lot. As an adult, forced myself to take sales jobs where I had to public speak, eventhough I would get sick till I knew everything about what I was selling. Ended up winning awards. When I was older, friends got me up for karaoke and I was quivering and shaking all over. It upset me so much, eventhough I was a decent singer, I forced myself to do it every week till I was no longer nervous.. I got really good and ended up in a band when I was older and was quite comfortable entertaining on stage. Now, no one believes how shy I used to be. I can stand up in front of any crowd and speak or sing. I used to be an introvert, now I'm more of an extrovert. I conquered my handicap of extreme shyness.

Omg... wow! You are a hero to many of us introverts! I’ve been doing public speaking classes for the last 6 yrs and yes it does make a different bc I am an introvert and incredibly shy and sometimes self conscious. At 36 now I’ve grown to be ok in standing up in front of people and speaking but I still have my off days. Thank you for inspiring myself and others! We need more people to post their stories like these. Let’s encourage each other 🙏🏽

There is nothing wrong with being an introvert. In fact introverts far exceeded extrovert due to their ability to be good listener and empathy towards others. I’m glad you challenged yourself to accomplish your personal goals.

Mostly shyness is a symptom of a big ego issue and not opposite.
As bigger the ego is , his demands are bigger and the fear to be exposed get bigger too.
Shyness is a protector of the ego.

Certain meds worked well but affected other areas. Once I stopped taking meds. The keys was being aware of my thoughts and behaviors based on what I was doing. The hyperside of it really allows me to think and process faster.
I will say that the staying on task and focusing on the task at hand is the most difficult part but as stated above being aware of your thoughts will put you ahead of the rest if you embrace it instead of using it as an excuse.

i like that he’s doing something. plus the story he came out of. so im a fan. but i seriously dont think it will work towards that particular problem. cause im on it too, ive observed whole communities who have become knowledgeable about really amazing thing about the body and why you do what you do throughout life. very accurate and equally useful.. but in the end i observe some that occurs everywhere when we rely on ‘knowing things’ in order to do things. i may sound stupid saying that.. but look closer. we move forward everyday not knowing, yet we cling on to certainty when we choose to move. its like we’re blind to the other side of ourselves that actually has no problem doing things without knowing. also easy tell.. whenever you focus on something too much.. especially when it comes to mind things.. you tend to end up doing the opposite. they used a example.. its like when you try not to think of a blue dog. your focus on not the dog.. actually enforces it. and if you have a method that can do fine dealing with the unknowns.. why wouldnt you strengthen that? if anyone can get in touch with Kwik, i would love to talk. maybe something good can come out of it.

Lewis, this was an absolutely fantastic interview/video! It took me three hours to watch a 2 hour video because of all of the playbacks due to the notes I was taking. The funny thing about this is I just bought the e-book for Limitless last night spontaneously. I've seen Jim's ads before but was always skeptical that he may be just another guy online trying to separate me from my money (lol) but I took the chance anyway. I wake up this morning and find this video published just the day before on my youtube page and wow! So many intellectual nuggets dropped and just became aware of so many limiting beliefs I was carrying about myself and learning. I've always been afraid to post reviews/comments but after listening about what other people's opinions would matter if we were on our deathbeds, it's better just to share my first heartfelt comment here. Jim is an absolute treasure! I look forward to reading his book in its entirety and checking out more of his content. Lewis, your interviews are awesome, informative and introduce to many other amazing people we may not have known or get to know better otherwise. Keep up the awesome work and thank you so much!

For me, subvocalization is one of the biggest distractions from clarity. I have found myself on occasion asking myself, what is that voice that is constantly running inside my head. In all literal senses, what is that voice? And the more I kept asking myself that question, the deeper and deeper my sense of self became, like a light shining brighter and brighter the more I kept asking myself what that voice was.
Thinking on it now, I believe I was more or less subvocalizing my reality. The more I asked what, the more that voice/presence disappeared, as if a light was being shined on it and revealing it to be false. Revealing, to myself, more of what was true. Subvocalization I believe is a regressive learning behavior.

I'm just so out of my mind right now!!!! I was an avid reader when I was a child and a teenager to the extent that my parents had to limit my reading time and books, but got diagnosed Multiple Sclerosis 8 years ago, just starting college. By overnight I lost most of my reading comprehension and became so frustrated and angry with my "broken brain". This eventually (and many other side symptoms) forced me to drop out of college and the "traditional" learning system but my curiosity and learning thrive never got away. With this pandemic and being mostly on lockdown I decided to take advantage of it and study and learn about so many topics that were on my waiting list but had just a really really hard time with it. This talk just took down so many prejudices and gave me back faith in myself to start unlimiting me and become limitless. Thank you so much for helping this be possible. My eternal grattitude to you Lewis and Jim!!!

Jim Kwik said he wants that we get limitless and then he describes that we should protect our time, emotion, heart and we should put a border in front of ourself, get rid of negative people... For 100% I am not against Jim Kwik but to put a border in font of yourself is for me a limit... In other words, we should shield us from the influence or from outside so that we are in control... That shields us also from God... Instead to surrender, to open our heart, to feel mercy for negative people... I have at least prevented 3 suicides and all of these suicide people were isolated from their friends, family because they have depression... And nobody likes to help... A guy has a problem is negative we isolate him... And that we label limitless!!! Awesome ....

People usually give up on thing after trying so many times, unlike children, because they are afraid of being judged. People can be judgemental and label others if some discipline is not mastered sooner but later. If the judgement was not part of the equation of learning, perseverance with learning something new on an unlimited level wouldn't be an obstacle.

1st let me say I am a big fan of you and Jim Kwik. Biggest lesson was to read a book a week. I feel like Jim is a magician and he is teaching us his magic. Already purchased his book taking his 10 day class but now I am going to purchase the book from my family members. Best gift to give someone you love. Thank you to both of you for caring enough about us to give us your gifts.

Love your show and how you ask such detailed questions of things your audience wants to know. Truly gifted interviewer Lewis! This interview was especially important as I have returned to college to get my RN and eventually my masters. I'm 50 and have felt overwhelmed by how much I need to learn and how hungry I am to become a Nurse Practitioner. I refuse to get to the end of my life and regret not developing this career. I've been raising my children and assisting my husband in his business for 30+ years. Now it's time to develop my lifelong goal. Been in college already for a couple of years. It touched me deeply to hear Kwik talk about regretting at the end of life. Bought the book to keep training my mind to learn and memorize better to the point of owning the information. Sorry I went so long but I'm so grateful for mentors like you and Kwik who remind me that age is a number. Bless your heart, your life and family. 🙏🕊👍

Amazing video Lewis and Jim, wow, one of the best podcasts I've watched! I just purchased your Limitless book and I'm looking forward to your course and the book. Thanks Lewis for everything you do. To answer your question below Lewis, the greatest lesson I took away from this is 'Passion is what lights you up, Purpose is how you light other people up." You both light up our world so I am grateful for both of you giving us all so much!
