    Applying what we have earned is the way to study something.
    -How can I use this
    -Why must I use this
    -When will I use this
    Boosting brain faculty
    -Brain diet;
    Avocado, blueberry, broccoli, egg, aloe, tomato, walnut, almond, carrot, chocolate
    -Movement;
    ex) forming morning routine to drink water when we wake up, pomodoro studing, etc
    -Being cautious for people around us;
    We cannot help but getting affected from surrounding people; put someone happy and being grateful for everything rather than complaining around you
    -Sleep;
    Not only good for long-term memory, but the dreams we have during sleeping are crucial factor in creativity

    20:32 Knowledge is a resource. Our ability to understand what we read, infer and interpret our experiences is our intellectual ability. Our minds having the "ability to learn" (identify and interpret), recall and innovate is a powerful feature. From birth to adulthood we acknowledge, become aware of and realize our potential or don't. Our knowledge becomes valuable and useful on a need-to-know, case-by-case basis. How well we perform cognitively indicates the quality and condition of our mental development or well-being (emotional sensory). Whether we are suffering from mental illness or brain damage. Our mental performance is also assessed by how well we speak and communicate, a result of how well educated we are. That is determined by our willingness to invest our time and attention to concentrate on learning. Unfortunately, we live in an age of self-distraction, seeking immediate touch screen gratification. Becoming more self-aware and mindful in the present moment has become very popular.

    Jim, I really believe that as a child you were mostly distracted by deep scattered thinking, what I believe the brain does to recognize universal broad scope patterns. Of which it seems that you have accomplished. Focused thinking or studying the basics on an elementary level feels like asking your brain to be concerned with the bark on a tree when your mind is eager to grasp and appreciate the tree as a whole, the big picture. I had this problem and was able to gain a sense of orientation when I discovered the importance of context and purpose. Only then true meaning can be recognized and one thing leads to another and eventually, we clarify the use-value of your study material. I didn't go to college because I didn't believe in myself, so I am self-taught and I can't seem to stop learning, I enjoy it.

    What he does is incredible, but the question is who else can do like Jim Kwik regarding the memorization? if there is no one else who can emulate him, then it infers that the brain damage he had when he was 5 years old might have reconfigurated his brain in such a way that it helped him to retain information far more quicker than any normal person. In fact, he gained a superpower of memory.

    You are just finishing your talk and Jim notes exactly what I learned in my first corporate position Chase Econometrics, just out of graduate school. We dealt with statistics, forecasting, analysis before PC's. My niche was with housing, demographics, construction info etc and I worked for Michael Carliner, prior partner in a separate company newly acquired specifically for their expertise in this area. With that expertise was also a proprietary computer language Michael had to teach me.
    New to the general group we worked amongst, I was aware of being doubted, especially by one colleague in a position a title below mine. When Michael arranged for me to teach this language - rather complex and atypical to others in use at the time - I wasn't sure I'd really gotten it down yet and questioned his reasoning. He told me 'the best way to secure one's knowledge of what they've been taught/learned is to teach it to others.' Spot on!! It worked and, fortunately, I won over the respect of the doubters. Interestingly I hadn't thought about this for eons but just this week suggested the same strategy to one of 3 teen siblings who live in my building.
    Synchronicity 🤩

    I have completed a 4.5 years of Osteopathic education. Pandemic came and fear set in . Final exams were canceled. I stoped studying for them not knowing when will they be done. Last min the exams were reinstated. I didn't go because I didn't feel I'm ready . A year and a half later I'm not any more ready, contrary, I forgot a lot what I learned . The school was challenging for me . I somewhat dispused it at the end so once I had a chance not going back to it I felt uplifted, free.
    I'm trying to start studying but not being consistent. I'm frustrated about my own behaviour.

    This is a great episode. Learned a lot from this. Hope I heard this episode two years ago. It’s motivated. FAST is planted ever since I heard it and will be in my mind forever. Thank you for the time and effort spent on this.
