How can you learn to be rich? What does your rich life look like?
All the treasures in our lives come from the quality of our mind. The habits of our thoughts and behavior determine what kind of life we’re going to be creating.
I’m excited to have our guest today to have this conversation because this is a topic that’s on a lot of people’s minds.
Ramit Sethi is the author of the New York Times bestseller 'I Will Teach You to Be Rich,' and his website (which has the same name as his book) helped creative professionals deal with clients and covers issues of psychology, personal finance and careers. He has been dubbed the “new finance guru on the block” by Fortune Magazine, as well as becoming a regular contributor to ABC, PBS and writing for the New York Times.
In this episode, we will go over how you can change your mental script about money and build wealth without cutting out the things you love.

Astonishing! Topic personal finances is for me very important and this episode is amazing. Great advices, great guest - i am plan to buy the book.
In my country literally everybody is looking on right side of menu (with prices) in restaurants instead of looking on left side...and dont buy what they really wanted :)
I hope that some day, there will be episode with Petr Ludwig, the author of book "The end of procrastination", I think that it would help a lot of people :)

Yes it is a good idea to think not only about the costs, but also to weigh in the factors of time, convenience, quality, and etc. Thinking about those other factors can help you live a better, more fulfilling life with happier memories. But, I think he should also put a disclaimer, that if those factors actually beat the worth of the costs at the moment. The stages of life and status play an important role, on which factor you should value more.
For example, he considers the fact that the 40$ meal would provide convenience, security, quality of food, and no frat boys to ruin the meal. Having a 40$ meal in a nice restaurant would be beneficial to someone that is already successful and rich, but if the person is still in college or is middle class even, a better option would be to meal prep a lot of food at a lower costs. Because at that stage in life, it would take a lot more time to work back for the 40$, and time is the most important asset that we have, because we can never get it back.

Hi This one has a very good, practical message by Ramit Sethi...only one downer was the technical glitch in getting Jim's voice...technology can poke terrible jokes at times...nevertheless, I am glad Ramit's side of the audio is just fine...Thanks Jim for bringing such amazing knowledge so well capsuled.

I don't agree with this guy. And he sound so arrogant. From the beginning I didn't like him and didn't agree with him, but I kept listening hoping there will be a lesson eventually. But there wasn't. I like you Jim, I really do. but I don't know what do you see in him that made you invite him. Sorry.

In my opinion I believe we don’t agree with someone because they don’t match our values and go against our daily habits.
(ex: if I take care of my body with exercise and good nutrition BUT go out and have to sit near someone who is smoking outside on a patio.... I will not like that person because their choice is going against my values of good health)
