    Thanks for sharing! Could I ask more about what happened with get your guide? I've also booked with them for this Dec and now I'm worried that it wouldn't go through. What company was your tour by?

      So we booked the tour (Tromsø: Reindeer Feeding and Sami Cultural Experience with Tromsø Lapland) and when we got there we weren't on their list even though we had paid and received confirmation via GetYourGuide. After checking with their office, it seemed that they sold out the tour without adding us. The office refunded us, but it did mean that we weren't able to go on the tour. We've used GetYourGuide numerous other times and have never encountered an issue. We highly recommend them because they offer great tours and have excellent customer service! Let us know if you have any other questions, and have fun in Tromsø!

    What time of year did you go? We’ll be there in the end of October and trying to see how much warm clothes to pack. Also, when you didn’t see the northern lights on the first night, did you go on the same tour the second night? Did you pay 2 different times? Thanks for the info!😊

      We went in mid-October. It was right before daylight savings when the time changed. We were going to take the same tour but it was sold out so we found a different one.

    What time of the year did you travel? We planning end of November this year and wondering if we can see Northern Lights.

    • @MYTravelBF
      @MYTravelBF  Год назад +1

      We visited Tromsø at the very end of October. The Northern Lights are visible most of the year, except in summer when the sun does not set. It's more dependent on the weather conditions and the strength of the Aurora Borealis. There are some apps and websites where you can track its strength and your probability of seeing it.

    What month did you guys visit for northern lights and what kind of clothing did you wear?
    Have been wanting to see the lights but Fairbanks, Alaska is too cold with minus 10 deg Fahrenheit temp.

    • @MYTravelBF
      @MYTravelBF  Год назад +1

      We visited Bergen in late October. The temperature was between 15° and 32°F. We had jeans, coats, hats, gloves, and boots. We did layer up and wear sweatshirts and leggings under our jeans though, including extra pairs of socks during the northern lights expeditions. That was really when it got cold! Let us know if you have any more questions.

    Excellent video you guys. I' m planning to visit Tromso in mid November for three days. Was the northern lights tour overall a good experience? Any suggestions or tips for the tour or the city? What to do/ avoid within these three days etc.. Thanks a lot in advance.

      Overall, we liked the Northern Lights tour we did and have the links to those in the bio. There are probably a few free walking tours of Tromso, but make sure to bundle up as it'll be cold! Thank you for watching!
