I like the idea of Otis mounting vent holes in the door threshold or gib tracks seen at 0:46. When I clean those with a small stick, the dirt falls thru those holes and down to the bottom of the shaft. I try to clean those tracks out with a vacuum cleaner. This hotel is doing a grand job in keeping those elevators clean!

I love those elevators.
they look fantastic. you can also ride the elevator down one floor then send it further down. walk back up and call another elevator.
Reasons for the 2-speed center-open doors:
(1) The elevators are too close together for single-panel center-open, or a 2-speed single-sided.
(2) The gap between the 2nd and 3rd elevator is likely where the counterweights for both are, leaving not enough room for another elevator. Not sure what the rest of the space is needed for. May be a structural reason for the larger gap.
georgef551 One of service elevators is where the gap is. It's very common to see a service elevator where there's a gap in the passenger elevators.
These have always been favorites of mine.

This is one of the first high riss lifts I will be filming when I go to Atlanta once I finish filming all the lifts that I have planned to film under 10 floors ! These r too nice

Did Otis change their style of elevator control key at some time? From a single sided Yale to a double sided key? Have some old (Otis I think) keys from a place I worked in the 80's, I remember they were either a Yale G, S, T or ?? keyway.
I have to wonder when you go into the Hyatt Regency where do you find these elevators?
I miss the grandma voice on these, I think that voice set is a lot cooler.
Look at that Otis logo. It's a classic logo with two lines besides the =OTIS= name. Modern doorsill. When was this tower constructed? 70s? 80s? Also, there is a service car in between the passenger cars. Not sure who filmed it.
