I have one and he is mind blowingly fast. I've had around 30 dogs throughout my lifetime including Siberian Huskies, Shepherd's, Pinchers ect & I haven't seen a dog this fast before. I wouldn't doubt he's one of the fastest German Shepherds in existence, he's like lightning, so fast your eyes can't track him.. Blows my mind..
As a cyclist I get chased by dogs once and awhile and outsprint them. Sprinted to 30mph and dropped a dog a couple weeks ago. The key is to anticipate the chase and gear up. Starting at a higher speed helps for sure.. then after the chase call the local dog warden and have them put the dog owner down
@@ltagames01 if you get one i would recommend dog training classes. Its not expensive ad is well worth it..German Shepherd's are high energy and need lots of things to keep their mind in a calm place..mine is 120lbs and he has to be under my command or he will get himself in trouble. Lol..but yes get you a Shepherd so very loving and loyalty..
@@ltagames01 hes 5 years old and still like a big puppy lol , he loves people but i do have to watch him he is very protective but in this crazy world that's kinda good..you will love a German Shepherd!! Hope you get one some day soon..
My 19 month old can hit 32 mph for about 300 feet, chasing my GPS tracked dual sport. He has chased squirrels, and turkey a few times, where I have seen that speed, chasing the ball is about 3/4 throttle activity for mine.
I think PETA would have me hung if I made him chase a squirrel 😂. Can’t remember what I said he ran at in MPH, but that was an average from a standing start. So top end was maybe somewhere around the 30mph you speak about, without really knowing for sure.
My male is the same. I have clicked him at 35mph on my motorcycle using the speedo app on my phone and he was looking at me like he was in a heel the whole time. When he plays fetch or runs around doing zoomies he’s 3/4 tops. It takes a challenge or some prey to get him really going. He weighs 80lbs
My GSD is 2 years old, first he takes of with all wheel drive and full traction control. He then varies the arch of his back to accelerate and hits his max torque in about 2 seconds. He reduces his wind resistance by lowering his enourmous ears and hits his max stride in three secinds...the rest is just pure hp after that. Superior German technology lol
1 year old German Shepherd = Porsche 911 turbo on 4 paws.... ! He is fast ! :)

I'm not a dog person by any means in fact I kind of hate dogs but I have huge love and respect for German shepherds and hope to own one in the future.
