If you love sites near water then Mckinney Falls, South Llano, Blanco, Inks Lake, Colorado Bend and Garner State Park are great for tent camping. Inks Lake and Garner has some great restroom/shower areas too. If you have any other questions let us know :-)

@@MrSTravelQuest We have only stayed in Garner a few times, because we have about 14 families that go with. We have been staying at Camp Riverview on 350. They let you take your own side by side or they have golf carts you can rent. They have new owners and have really cleaned up the park nice. We have private river access. But we absolutely love Garner!! Have a fun and safe trip!! Happy Camping!! 🏕

We love going to rock beach and the dances every night. We didn’t get to go last year because of COVID!! I hope they have the dances this summer. Stay well and happy Camping!!
@@jlopez4christ We missed out on the dancing. Last summer, I know the park was at half capacity. We spent all day at the park hiking, swimming and kayaking. What are some good camping spots around the park. I’m going to try to book for July.

@@MrSTravelQuest I have only been to Big Bend National and Big Bend State Ranch parks. They are on another scale. I am sure Guadalupe Mountains National Park and Palo Duro Canyon State Park rival Big Bend parks even though I haven't ventured there yet.

I just reserved my spot to visit Hueco Tanks and Franklin Mountain for spring break. Did you get a chance to do the tours? Can’t wait to check them out! I visited Seminole Canyon and loved seeing the petroglyphs.
I spent three days there and walked the entire place each day. Lots of easy climbs. The bathrooms were clean and plenty of hot water with good pressure. Just what I needed after walking all day! Enjoy

So far Enchanted Rock is my favorite, we just recently saw Gorman Falls (although we took the wrong path but we still saw it from where we were) but I also liked other things like Jacob's Well and the Hamilton Pool!
David and Mercy Whipple We didn’t get a chance to visit Hamilton this year, but hopefully next year. We visited Barton Springs last year and it was amazing! Pedernales Falls is amazing and definitely worth a visit. Next time we go I plan on visiting LBJ park as well, since it’s near Pedernales. Did you see Gorman Falls from the Overlook?
we ended up taking a wrong path and were walking among an empty river bed but we followed the sound and were able to see some of it through the trees...lol

Texas Family Camping I like Enchanted Rock, but I felt these park were better. Abilene is a great park that’s near me, but can’t put it on my top 5. You already know how I feel about my home park :-/

If y’all ever get the chance to visit some caves in Texas and make videos on them that would be SOOOO AWESOME. Cause about six years ago me and my family went to a few caves around the north west and south central Texas with some beautiful caves rich with history and geological features.

@@MrSTravelQuest I’ve been to the inner space caverns, cave without a name and natural bridge cavern and long horn caver state park. One of the most eye opening adventures I’ve ever been on I was about 14 at the time It really got me into geology of Texas and other states.

Best state park in Texas is Mustang Island you can camp right on the ocean on the shoreline. Amazing for fishing, camping and sunset watching.
Planning on visiting and camping there over the summer and can’t wait.

Big Bend Ranch State Park is the #1 state park in Texas. You should definitely check it out. It gives Big Bend National Park a run for its money.

Man...I think I would of put Lost Maples before Garner, out of the bunch that is. But honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the 5.

When it comes to Texas hill country garner is easily #1. I haven't been to Big Bend so I can't speak on it, it's like 7 or 8 hours from Austin.
