  • What started as a six-acre donation by Isabella Neff is now a 1.5 million-acre, statewide system of Texas State Parks, open to the public. These nearly 90 parks allow Texans to connect with nature and each other, while helping preserve Texas’s natural beauty. With narration and music by Shane Smith & the Saints, this film encourages all Texans to go & enjoy the diverse, stunning parks of the great Lone Star State.

I am also proud of Texas and our parks and protected lands.
    * the film says, 30 million will up to 50million in next few decades. They'll all be Texans--- if
*we*-----all share and introduce them to our natural heritage.

Typical of y'all to leave out the real Rio Grande Valley. We have the Bentsen-RGV State Park, home of the World Birding Center and Butterfly Park and Resaca de la Palma State Park, the only place you'll find the original palm trees native to South Texas and region to have beautiful resacas. I can understand that you couldn't put all of the State Parks, but would it hurt to acknowledge South Texas, 4 hours south of where HEB made its billions beginning with three stores in the RGV in 1927.

"Typical" huh? Odd judgement and silly bone to pick. Who cares if they left out some part of the state - Texas is enormous and there are plenty of other cool places I can think of not mentioned. The point of the video was about preserving our natural land everywhere and they did a fine job.

@@taipoxin duh. Texas is enormous, I live here and love it, but my comment was that they could have picked one place out of each region. And my comment that the southernmost tip of South Texas is always being left out is a fact, especially in tourist brochures. People think San Antonio is "south Texas". The RGV is a wonderful part of Texas💕 and just wanted to remind HEB of where it got its start that's all. No need to get all fired up.
