    These are all beautiful colors! But as she mentioned briefly, choosing the right shade/hue/intensity of that color for your complexion can make SUCH a difference!! This is why honey blonde looks brassy and cheap on some people as opposed to ash blonde, or vise versa. Or they look great in dark brown hair but so dead and sickly in blonde hair in general. I highly recommend looking into seasonal color analysis before changing your hair color because it can mean the difference between looking tired or sick vs looking glowy and alive. No one color will look good on everyone! Anyway love the video, I would just keep this in mind 😊

      @michellef3123 Год назад +4

      Seasonal colour analysis changed my whole life. I don’t know why it isn’t talked about more. It can mean the difference between looking sickly and hidden, or healthy and glowing✨

      @kellyc7902 Год назад +3

      @Bonnie Tang Hard to tell when someone is wearing makeup, a wig, and probably fake tan. To me she seems warm but again you can’t know unless all those things are stripped away and you compare warm and cool colors next to her face. What I do know is that ginger hair color looks really good on her, and the fact that she keeps emphasizing that warmth always looks good on everyone tells me that she subconsciously knows she’s warm toned because she likes warm hair colors on herself. Despite this, we can’t really know for sure unless she gets analyzed by a professional 🤷‍♀️

    • @kellyc7902
      @kellyc7902 Год назад +3

      @Bonnie Tang hmm idk I looked at her Instagram and she still seems to have warmth. Also, being pale and having blue eyes does not mean you’re cool toned lol. Anyone of any skin tone can be warm or cool, and people with blue eyes can definitely be warm too. If you look more into seasonal colors you’ll see there are all kinds of people in every season. But I think the reason she sort of gets away with cool colors is that she’s light and she does her makeup to suit her hair color. How do you know for sure if she’s cool if she almost always has makeup on, sometimes a tan, colored contacts, and unnatural hair colors?

    • @kellyc7902
      @kellyc7902 Год назад

      @Bonnie Tang well that’s okay, it’s possible you’re right, I just can’t decide either way since it’s hard to find good raw photos of her.

    My issue with these videos is how heavily swayed they are by the fact your skin tone falls on the warmer side. Saying ash washes people out and warm colours look great on pretty much everyone is fundamentally incorrect. It's just true for you personally because you fall on the warmer side. Warm colours will make warm skin tones glow and cool colours will make cool skin tones glow.

      I agree. I've had my hair dyed brown, purple, pink, orange, blue for short periods of time and I always go back to silver after 2-3 months cause it's the colour that suits me the most and the people close to me think the same. I love Stella, she's gorgeous and she looks good with every colour, but especially with colours that have warm undertones cause they compliment her skin. But it's not the same for people with cool skin tones.

      I agree! I am relatively pale with very rosy cheeks and while chocolate is still okay-ish depending on the tone, rose and burgundy are not a nice look on me at all. At the same time, I guess we got what the viewers asked for - a list based on her experience. But what's important to understand is that there's no color out there that is going to suit everyone. If you want something flattering for your skin tone, always make sure to ask for advice from your hairstylist who is experienced in coloring and color corrections, as there is a lot to learn about how it all works.

I did have to redye my hair often but that will probably be the case no matter what since I will always have blonde roots. I've been dying my hair since 2019 and I knew from the very beginning that I wanna stick with more of ginger-ish shades (tho funny thing is that the first color I dyed my hair in was burgundy, but that was an accident lol) and eventually I came to the conclusion that copper is, in fact, the best color for me
    Idk how to explain it, but despite my natural color being verrrryyy dark brown, almost black, copper looks like it has been here all my life
    Like, I swear, ALL of the people I've met during this period of time were shocked when I said that I wasn't born with it, even tho I don't dye my eyebrows and facial hair because... well, why would I? And when I showed them my natural one all of them were saying that it looks terrible lmao
    Concidering chocolate brown - it's my all time backup color, because even tho I tend to stick with copper, I do like to experiment a little bit from time to time and I always know that if something goes wrong, I can always do brown
    Because it looks good on me and it's really easy to go back to copper
    Oh, and pinks❤️ I used to dye my bangs with vibrant washout spray paint sometimes and hot pink was my favorite
    I think the thing I love the most about it that when it starts to kinda fall off a little bit, it turns into a very pretty dark red shade that, combined with copper, looks amazing

      I've had royal blue hair that faded into the kind of emerald like she had, ( because bleach hair is often a bit yellow, blue dyes tends to do that, fade towards green ) and I did not really like it 😅 Green is neutral in essence, and although emerald is a cooler blue green, it was too warm for me, although it's definitely not as bad as copper or chocolate brown haha. Emerald hair was hard to rock for me, I couldn't wear blue jeans or baby blue shirts or sweaters without looking really weird. Overall I think it suits way better warmer people ( brings out the warmth because it's opposite on the color wheel ) or high contrast cool toned people, rather than muted cool toned people.

    I guess copper is close enough to my beloved coral/orange/peach... 😅
    I was so scared before going peach/orange the first time, but now it's my comfort color (along with a light, milk choclaty brown). And I love combining my orange with bright colors on my clothes, and it also goes so well with brown, black and white. What I realized was that it really neutralizes the redish tones in my complexion

    Emerald green is my absolute favorite and I’ve been rocking it for years!Mine is more on the green side but still has blue, but mine also does not fade the same way your’s did. The dye you used looks like it has a very blue undertone that sticks really well for a long time. Mine stays very green leaning even up until the bleach blonde starts showing through again. Right now my color is like 2-3 months old and the green as very soft and still cool toned, and I even got a compliment from one of my concert band mates that it’s one of her favorite colors.

    Stella are you by any chance a tetrachromat--someone with 4 types of cone cells in the eye as opposed to 3, and can therefore see more variations in the color spectrum? I've wondered this every time I watch your videos and see how excited you get about colors! There are a lot of bogus tests online so I don't know how someone actually gets tested for this, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if you are one of these rare people!

    I dye my hair into like a very strong warm fuschia color and it's just so nice always~ I really love it, it fits me as a person so well too. And when it fades, it just stays pink, but just looks more pastel, so it just keeps looking good for ages especially since I had it do like a gradient from my natural hair color, so~ :333

    I have an ombre from my natural hair color (dark brown) into a green using Punky color’s Alpine green. It’s as dark as the emerald green you used, but leans away from the blue-green tone and more towards the neutral-green. I haven’t had it fade at all on me yet after having it dyed back in September. (Tbf, that might be because I had put the extra dye into my conditioner at my friend’s recommendation. She’s the one who dyed my hair)
