I have a wolf cut, and everyone told me that I wouldn't like it because I'm too lazy to style my hair, but my hair looks great without styling. Unless your hair literally won't hold any shape at all, I'd recommend the wolf cut for lazy people.
Edit: (I am finally one of the people who can say, "Mom, I'm famous.")

Yeah i have the shag/ wolfcut. I had it long with front bangs then cut to a pixie Now trying to grow it back out as a shag again. But go back and forth from front bangs to side. But yes it is a great hair cut if you wanna go natural or use styling tools. Im a very lazy hair person too lol

Yes! Bobcut-team! What matters the most is to get the haircut YOU want. Don't keep your hair long for your partner or because you think "men like long hair". A good haircut gives you confidence, confidence is attractive. (and also in my opinion: if a guy is only dating you / interested in you because your hair is long and you think he'd leave you if you cut it, then maybe you should consider cutting both your hair and also your relationship short for the sake of your own mental health)

I loved my buzzcut. Growing up, everyone adored my long hair and always told me how beautiful it was, and it became somewhat engrained in my identity. When I finally buzzed it all, I felt so free, like I got to know myself better, as odd as that seems. And zero maintenance but still having a "look" every morning is just **chefs kiss**. Traditional values of beauty just didn't matter to me as much. I couldn't hide behind my hair, so it forced me to be more confident. I loved every second of my buzzcut. Growing it out however was a PAIN. Looooong years of awkward growth haha, but hey, hair is just hair and it will grow back. Embrace the adventure. Already just 3 years after buzzing it all off my hair is now down to my waist, and I'm more than ready to go short again!

Yes, it looks so good, but in my opinion it's tiring. I'm a little nervous...it's been years since I've had layers or any type of bang. I am excited, but I tell myself that my hair still grows and time will resolve anything I might regret. I'd personally love some advice on what kind of haircuts/styles would fit to specific types of hair.
As someone with rather long but fine hair, I for example struggle with having zero volume unless I put a ton of products in, which I'd like to avoid. And I'm pretty sure people with very voluminous hair have similar struggles on how to work with it.
I know you've done similar ones to that before but a nice compilation would be great. ~

Try shorter hair. Like shoulder length. I have a big hairloss issue and I also have fine hair but a lot of it. So when it's long and not styled properly it looks very flat. Like a wet fluffy cat tail. Or a rat's tail. Now that I cut it from boob length to shoulder length my hair has a ton more volume and it looks like I have more. I don't know if this can help or if it works only for me. Also layers work great at adding volume.

I have similar problem and my advice is to never go for the wolf cut. Fine hair look much thinner with layers, it's going to be flat af and you will still have to use ton of products to make it look good. I'd recommend blunt cut as it creates illustration of thicker hair. Such hairstyles looks good even with flat hair.
Personally I find face framing pieces (like curtain bangs) to be a beautiful way to add movement to fine hair without taking the much needed volume

I also would like suggestions for fine, thinning hair that is wavy and doesn't react well to styling products or heat.
Straighteners and electronic curlers do nothing for me because they always end up doing the opposite of what they are supposed to do. I've tried curl creams, gels, hair spray, stylers.
I just want my hair to not look so bad all the time.

Since graduating high school (2006), I've always cut my own hair. It cost crazy money and I can just do it at home myself anyway from reading and watching tutorials. So I've had super shorty and super long hair styles. The mid-neck length pixi has been my favourite.
About a month ago I cut my hair in the wolf cut. It came out looking amazing. I even got a curling wand to give myself some style (I've got straight hair). Never in my life have I felt more beautiful and happy with my hair.

I want to disagree with you that the shag doesn’t look good on medium length hair. I used to think that too, but I’ve see so many people styling medium and even short shags in so many different ways. I think it has to do with the layering. They have to be “perfectly” connected. I especially see this in thick curly hair. That weight is released. Hair can hold a style longer and it can move!!
I agree that the classic a line Bob is my favorite haircut too. It is youthful no matter your age.

i had a wolf cut that reached just about my bra line, and I didn’t really like it, because when I would put it in a ponytail, it would look very thin. I got bored and decided to cut it kind of choppy about an inch above my shoulders. I didn’t look like a toddler at all, even with my baby face, and it was so easy to manage. I could actually still do a lot of hairstyles like ponytails, braids, and a ton more. I shaved my head after and loved that as well, and then grew it into a shaggy pixie cut, and I loved them all. The buzz cut wasn’t my favorite, because I’m pretty insecure of my face, but I still liked it because of the manageability.

It's surprising to see the buzzcut here just because growing it out is a constant stream of awkward phases, but it is a very freeing haircut indeed.
On the other hand I had a blunt bob and it looked awful on me, my face just doesn't agree with blunt anything haha.

I always do a bob cut in the summer. Feels great, abd by the time fall rolls around it‘s a little over the shoulders. At that point it‘s easy to braid etc to not get in the way of scarves and hats.

The one-length bob is such a cute short look, but it didn't work really well on me when I tried it :'^). I think it's because I have very fine and thin hair, so instead of looking voluminous, it just kinda stuck to my head and looked flat. But I feel tempted to try it again so often!

I wonder if a root perm would give you some lift. My sister had fine hair and had it done once; it did give her lift but she loved big hair and had no aversion to product, especially hair spray. She passed in 2018, so whenever I see big hair it makes me think of her.

I generally enjoy the lighthearted tone of your videos, but I think something profound within me moved when you talked about the buzzcut... like girl, yes. We're enslaved to our hair routine, and even as someone who's generally low-maintenance when it comes down to hairstyles, I can definitely relate to the no-nos after getting my hair done. Wow. What a trip! Gorgeous look today, by the way!

Funnily enough I've tried most of these styles. Got an A-line bob when I was younger, but it wasn't as managable for me. It just got in my face so much, that I grew it out so I could wear it in a tail. Did a pixie cut that made me look like my mom for a year or so. Easily managable, even more so when I gave up on length gradation and turned it into an undercut. Finally bit the bullet last summer and took it all off, and I haven't touched it since. Growing out into what feels like it'll be a nice wolf-style eventually, though I'm debating between letting the front Grow Faster (again, managability, I don't like being unable to keep it out of my face) and cutting bangs so people can see my face again.

One length bob/lob with bangs while doing Japanese straight permanent is my best haircut. I have flat fine hair but a lot of it, it has weird waves and gets frizzy in humid weather, hence the straightening. But doing the straight perm once in 6 months means that I don’t have to use the hair iron at all, so all in all my hair is healthier. I hate to feel products in my hair, so I just use hair milk and don’t have to do anything other than using a dryer.

I would agree, buzzcut is so unimaginably liberating. I found that to style, i would wear fun earrings and makeup to feel more feminine, and it was great to just be me without even thinking about my hair. Also a good point if you want a head tattoo ;)

Pro tip for the next time you have hard edge straight bangs you want to grow out: wait a month extra for your next haircut while awkwardly moving them to the side, and go for the curtain bangs. That's how I grew my own straight edge bangs out. 10/10 would recommend.

Have you ever done a single side shave? It's my current haircut as of the past few years (been growing it out from a mowhawk) and omg I don't know how I've managed with anything else. Maintainance is nothing, all you have to do is reshave the side every few months. Styling is almost limitless, you can do buns, ponytails, middle part it if you want to, brush it back, and braid it (I have mid length hair. The only downsides I've found is it's hard to do symmetrical hairstyles because of the inherent asymetricalness of it but it's genuinely my fave hairstyle.

I couldn’t make a ponytail look good if I wanted a sleek clean bun I couldn’t cause they were just crazy and layers would fall out the bun, it was a mess. Very pretty down but that’s about all I could do with them.

Each time I see videos or else about haircuts, it assumes that everyone has toooons of hair on their head... I mean, I would love to do a wolf cut for instance, but like, I don't even have half the amount of hair the wig you showed us have 🥲 it would look terrible, i would be a scarecrow... So many haircuts/hairstyles require a phenomenal volume of hair, I just feel so bad all the time watching that 😭
