- This is the steepest gravel driveway that I have worked on. Steep doesn’t properly describe it. Check out this repair and lets hope it works…

Thank you John and welcome to the channel. Just make yourself at home. 😁
I appreciate the feedback on the message and the encouragement.
God Bless,
Sam
Really liked the water breaks you added in. That is a tip I can definitely use here. Great vid. Thanks!
Good deal, glad it helped you out. Appreciate you supporting the channel. Ideally you would want to dig them a little deeper and wider which would let you line them with rip rap.
Thanks,
Sam
Thank you for your time and effort you put in the messages, and your videos too! Thanks again
Thank you Brian I appreciate that...😁
I'm glad you found our channel or I'd have not found yours. I love the grading since that's right up my alley as well as the gospel message at the end. God bless!
Yes Sir and thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the message. I end pretty much all of them with a message. RUclips is a great way to share the Gospel for sure.
God Bless,
Sam
Brother, I gotta say, I'm glad I let this one roll through to the end. I was absentmindedly thinking about something else and about to click away when you sat down with the Word and opened it to read, and it pulled me right back in.
I just recently started a land clearing and excavating company after feeling drawn this particular way (lots of prayer preceeded). I have been watching your videos among others for tips and insights, and then find you pull out the very chapter and verse I finished with during yesterday's morning Bible study. Christ is King.
Hey thanks for sharing that and I enjoy hearing stories like that how the message was a blessing. It’s cool when the Lord shows us the same things a couple times in a short time.
I hope your business takes off and does well. You’re doing the most important part and putting the Lord first.
I appreciate you watching and supporting the channel…
God Bless
came on to watch some road digging and got scripture reading. SUBSCRIBED!
Hey thanks and I appreciate you subscribing to the channel!

My Excavation company is named On The Rock Land Services for that reason. Thank you for the great videos Iv'e been learning a good bit from them. Keep up the good word.
Thank you Brendan and that is a great name for your company. I appreciate you supporting the channel. I'm glad the videos are helping you out.
God Bless,
Sam
Bless you and your work brother!
@@ryanhansen8312 Thank you Ryan and God Bless…
I enjoy your well done videos and how you take time to explain the process along the way. Also, thank you for closing messages. They are very relatable to current events in my life. God bless you and your family.
Thank you Greg! I try to help folks see what I'm doing. I appreciate the feedback and encouragement. Glad you are enjoying the messages.
God Bless,
Sam
So sorry to hear about that. Praying for strength, peace and healing. RUclips is very hard! Wanted to quit numerous times. It just takes time and creating content that folks enjoy watching.
God Bless,
Sam
That is a steep drive!.. looked like a stressful job! Would love to see you revisit this drive on a later date, to see how it’s holding up. Great job and great msg. Stay safe!
Thanks Gary. It was definitely an interesting project. But it turned out good. I have talked to Tim some since we have had a few storms. Other than the loose silt in the ditches washing down it is holding up good.
2 weeks later and some crazy amount of rain and still holding up. I cleaned the silt out of the drains and started water line repair.
Good deal! Glad to hear it is holding strong...
Thanks
@@timgrov3 how steep do you think it is? I have some property that has about a 25-28% grade in one spot and it has always been a concern
@@2bmoto555 17% still today can go up and down but it’s time for some maintenance. Moving truck torn it up a little trying to get up
I really enjoyed the message at the end. What a great way to end a video. ❤
Thank you I appreciate that! Most all of the videos have a message at the end like this one. Glad you enjoyed it! 😀
God Bless,
Sam
Another fine job and message by a fine feller! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Mark...😁
Thanks for the video Sam well done with the road and drainage ❤❤👍. Take care of yourself and family and be Blessed.
Thank you Michael! 😁

Another great video and message! It's great how you adapt and move forward when things don't go as originally planned.
Thank you Mike I appreciate that. It makes life more interesting, that is for sure...😁
Fine looking job and great message Sam!
Thanks Jackson glad you enjoyed the message...

Very nice job. Good camera work too. Thanks.
Thanks John I appreciate the feedback on the editing.

Steep road you did a great job 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 I enjoyed Gods word 😊 Amen ❤
Thank you Loretta. Glad you enjoyed the message.
What is the slope?
Not sure exactly. I didn’t measure it but it is very steep…🥵
Awesome Job and Awesome message. 👌
Thanks Jon...😁
Love the tip for cutting in an angle without having a tilt bucket
Yup, that works great!
Thanks
Thank you for that. Amen
Thank you!

Thank you sir. You helped me a lot.
Good deal, glad to hear the video was a help to you…
Great transformation Sam! The driveway definitely looks better. We deal with driveways like that here as well. We're very rocky here too.
Yup, this was a tough one for sure. Should hold up good. Sounds like yall deal with some rocky ground too. 🤔
God Bless,
Sam
Another job well done buddy God bless you friend
Thank you Todd! 😀

Great Video ! God Bless from Australia 😊
Hey Anthony, I appreciate that. It’s a cool thing that you are watching in Australia. 😀 thanks for letting me know that…
Great job.God Bless Brother .
Thank you William…😀
Nice work and amen, Sam 👍🏼
Thank you for that and appreciate you supporting the channel...

Another great video brother! We have a ton of hills here in the ozark's so we are familiar with the steep backwoods drives down to boat docks etc. You handled it and tackled it great!
Thank you and I appreciate that. We have some pretty steep land around here for sure. Sounds like you do as well. Makes it interesting 🤔 😁...
Boy that was a steep one. A good coat of C&R, and then some compacted asphalt millings would make a good road. I've had good luck using the millings on steep driveways. You don't spin on it like gravel, it doesn't washboard nearly as bad, and it's less maintenance.
Nice message brother.
Thanks. I've never used the asphalt millings but I hear a lot of folks like to use them...
Glad you enjoyed the message...
Keep the faith brother. God Bless
Thank you Wes. I appreciate that and thanks for supporting the channel...
God Bless,
Sam
Awesome Job!! Amen Brother!!
Thank you Greg! 😁
Nice work! Here in ohio, we put all of out water lines 48" or below. Its funny to me to hear about them only being 18" down 😅 Imagine the amount of time a tilt bucket would have saved that septic installer on that slope.
Right, 48" inches would have gotten them out of the way for sure. We have very little ground freeze here. So, if we are lucky they have been installed 18" in the ground. Sometimes they are less than that depending on the guy who did the line. I have hit plenty of shallow water line repairing driveways, not fun!
I love driveway repair and grading..,.
Thanks!😀
Man you need a 4wd just to get up your driveway. You can hang it up when it’s raining or muddy. The ought to build them a walking path just in case. Job well done Sam. There’s only so much you can do when it’s like that. And I’m sure you will be back after a few storms to do some repairs. Just the way Mother Nature works. Have a great day and stay safe.
It's definitely a 4x4 driveway. Steepest I have ever repaired for sure. Thanks Tony, I appreciate it...
That’s forsure. You’re welcome Sam.
Will be better when I have gravel on it. Right now don’t have any problems with our AWD Acadia getting up. Even after a storm.
That’s good.
Do you have the video of house going up the hill on your channel? There was a comment asking about that...
STEEP!!!!!! Hope Tim plans for the future... He'll be calling you back for maintenance.
Right, that drive will need a lot of maintenance for sure...
Great video Sam! That looks like a pretty steep driveway for sure! The fence I’m working on is in some steep hills, so steep my 289d will just barely stay on it if the grass is wet. Relatable lol
Thanks Lee. It was steep for sure. Sounds like the wet grass is a slip and slide...😁
Great videos love the content and the message
Thank you Mike and appreciate you supporting the channel...
God Bless,
Sam
Great message Sam! You did a great job on that road. Once he gets the stone on it and riffraff around those pipes he shouldn't have any problems. You need to get SmithWorx up there on a road job in the hills. I believe y'all would work good together. You just have to make sure your A/C works on the equipment. 😂 Be Safe and GOD BLESS
Good layer of crusher run will do it good. Lindsey might fall off these Tennessee hills 😁. If I don't have him some A/C he won't come. It would be cool to make a video with ole Smith Worx. Maybe we can do that someday. Not sure how much we would get done though...🤔🤣😁
@@tristardiggin you would just have to tie a rope around his waist and tie to the equipment. I think he likes to work in the rain.🤣
😁
Good stuff, thanks
Thank you Patrick!😀
Thanks for another good video 👍
Thank you and I appreciate you commenting and supporting the channel...
Hello sir, not sure if you changed something recently but the sound has been off in your last 3 videos. It's very muted and only comes out my left speaker. Only when your talking, music still sounds normal. Anyways love your videos and messages keep up the great work. God bless!
Thanks for the info. I have a bad audio cable but I have ordered a new one. I have 1 or maybe 2 more like that. So it should be back to normal after that. Thanks for supporting the channel

Great word!! Nice video!!

God bless you my friend.. I have been doing dirt work off and on for 20 years!! We now provide internet for people in the middle of nowhere and GOD has lead me back to dirt work. . God Provided me an Excavator and we just started a Nobles Dirt Werkz. It's been a blessing already to help and provide for Gods people! Jesus is the answer to it all!! thanks for all you do!! KEEP DIGGIN!!
That’s pretty cool that you have started your excavation business! 😀 I hope you get a good start and get lots of work to do. I agree, Jesus is the answer to all things!

Sounds like build your house upon north central arkansas and you’ll be set!! Jk but man that was a great message. Tied in well with the video. That was a great video too. I really enjoyed watching you shake the road. I think grading has to be my favorite part of excavation. That’s and pushing trees!!
Yup, I think I was in Arkansas dirt, well rock. I enjoy building and rebuilding roads. Thanks for the feedback on the message...
I think that drive will hold up. THANKS FOR THE MESSAGE.
Thank you Mike. Glad you enjoyed the message...

Another great video!
Thank you Mike! I really enjoyed that job, it was definitely a good challenge…😀
Great video sam
Thank you! 😁
The rural waterline is different, where I’m at everyone has a private well.
A lot of public water utilities around here but a a few wells too...
I'm in East Tennessee. Looks my driveway right now 😆
Yup, that's where this one is too.😁
Thank you for the message of Christ,I have similar steep driveway I maintain myself, just wondered what topping of gravel did you put on top? What would that be called so I can order the right type, I drive a large motorcycle up hill as well, gets pretty treacherous after heavy rains. What is the surface gravel that you put on the top called, thanks ,been a while since I ordered gravel, just cant remember
Thank you Joseph, glad you enjoyed the message.
The type of rock goes by several names. Around here it’s called crusher run and in other places it’s called road bond. It’s basically 1/2 stone with a lot of fine material which helps it pack down well.
23:36 your gonna need a large water supply line, takes quite a bit to make that moonshine.
Right, not sure a 3/4" line is going to supply enough water.
Hey its Phil in Colorado @diggindeeperpcg. That reminded me of the driveways we do in the Rocky mountains. Great Video!! And great work!! Sorry that water line got i your way. frustrating!!
Thanks Phil. Sounds like some steep ground in the Rocky mountains. The water line was a bummer but it sure was in the way. Thanks for supporting the channel...
I really enjoy your videos, but the audio is only in the left ear.
If you could make the audio stereo it'd be much better.
Can't wait to see more videos
Thanks Cody. Had a bad audio cable on the gopro. I appreciate you supporting the channel...

Hey Sam love ur videos and the message u bring w them! Tht would’ve been sooooo much easier w a dozer tho bud lol.
Thanks and definitely glad to hear you are enjoying the messages. Dozer would have been nice but wasn't in the budget for this one...

Take a look at it. " Love that accent ".
Thanks Grant. I appreciate you supporting the channel...

Tunnel or Car lift of some sort like a " Roller Coaster "
I would like to see the rock when it goes down on this drive
Jonathan they may need that car lift.😀. Definitely a steep driveway…
Just recently found your channel, really enjoying it. May i ask what your trailer and equipment weight is with this setup behind the truck? I imagine you need a cdl for that?
Thanks Jacob and welcome to the channel! The trailer is a Diamond C 20k trailer. The skid steer weighs around 8800 and the mini x around 8500. CDL is required if your trailer gross weight is over 10k lbs.
Thanks,
Sam
@tristardiggin thank you for the information Sir, have a great day.
Amen brother ❤
Thanks... 😁
Amen to that one ❤❤.
😁, thanks
That driveway needs a few switchbacks going up that hill. Dang.
Yup, it definitely could have used some switchbacks…
Thanks

Randy, I added a link for the video moving the house up the hill...
Could you have put pipe in the overflow where they wouldn’t get clogged up?
Not sure what you mean by overflow.
@@tristardiggin The ditches you ran off the driveway to stop the water flow from coming down too fast.
Ok, I see. Pipes could be put in those area's but the cost kind of makes it not worth it. The mouth of the pipe would probably get stopped up pretty quick with sticks and leaves. But good idea though...
Thanks,
Sam
Ha! It’s fairly steep Sam but it doesn’t hold a candle to my driveway!
Whew! That must be a doozy!
@@tristardiggin 24%
Yup, that is steep...😳
That driveway would never work here it needs a series of switchbacks zig zag turns up the side of the hill with wide turns and stopping points like a landing .
Yup, I agree with that, for sure...
Just ask god to fix the driveway
He can certainly do a lot of things to help us!
That driveway should be abandoned and do it a different way.
Definitely a steep driveway but working ok for them the last I talked to them…
Thanks,
Sam
