great advice about driveway maintenance...but REALLY great message! As someone who was recently born again, I find myself in need of a constant reminder to submit myself and my plans to God's will. I'm sitting here at 54 years old and wishing so badly I had learned 30 years ago that there is great freedom in submitting to God's will, and that in doing so, he will share the yoke with us.

You are 100% correct about keeping your ditches clean. I've never had an issue because of how I built my driveway until this past fall. When the remnants of Hurricane Helene came through our area, it washed leaves from up on the hill and into my ditch, which sent the water across my driveway. Overnight, I had a 4" deep rut across it and down one of the lanes. I had cleaned the ditches on each side the day before. It always amazes me with the damage that water can do.

Sam, I enjoyed your video. I have a property near Pulaski, TN with a really steep driveway with ditches on both sides and 3 culverts (2 mid-way to shed the water from one side to the other
and 1 at the entrance to the driveway. If I don't keep the leaves blown into the woods, the first big
rain literally destroys my driveway because the leaves stop up all three culverts. So, your video was "spot-on" for me. Your message at the end was a pleasant surprise which I really enjoyed.
Good to see hard working people who share the Word of God. Great message and at the perfect
    time for me.

It’s always cool to start a new business for yourself. I would also recommend a skid steer to start with because they are so versatile and a big assortment of attachments for them. A good way to start is small land clearing jobs and gravel driveway repair. Mainly because there are so many driveways needing repairs after big storms. After you get your feet on the ground adding a mini x gets you even more opportunity for work. I basically learned by watching many hours of RUclips.

Hey Sam , what if you put a culvert pipe across the driveway in front of that ditch rock ? Few years back I had a similar issue with a customer’s driveway. I ended up using a 8”SDR pipe. Works great and I didn’t have to dig too deep. But if it don’t bother you don’t bother my friend.😂

Thanks Steve yeah it would probably work out good to put in a pipe in that spot.

Great video! Man I’m wanting a Harley rake. I’m making a couple moves to go in that direction. Your message really touches home because I’m wanting to make decisions as well. To the point that I’ve had anxiety and heart palpitations due to the stress of it. I have a great job with a great future. But I also have my own business as well. And in my heart I really wanna be in business for myself. It’s just what i want. But I’ve had to tell myself I’m going to stop worrying about it. Am I where God wants me to be? Or does he want what I want? I’ve written it down and praying about it. Going to do both job and side work as diligently as I can and let the Lord lead me where I’m supposed to go. It’s honestly too much for a man to do both. But I’m feeling like he may want what I want. As all of a sudden I’m getting a couple calls a week for work. We will see what he has in store for me. Ps I am also finally uploading a youtube video!!

Yeah I know what you mean on making a choice. When I first started I also had a great opportunity to work for an excavation company making a pretty good amount of money. But I just really wanted to try starting my own business and I’m glad that I did.
There is a scripture that says do everything as unto the Lord! Basically, in this situation, it would mean whether working for yourself or for someone else you do it as if we are doing it for the Lord.
Working for someone else is pretty secure income. Working for yourself adds a bit of stress and an understanding that things can get really hard at times. You along with your family have to weigh the good and bad of each and decide which is best. Hope that helps some…😀👍

    • @poorfarm-nn6ii
      @poorfarm-nn6ii 18 дней назад

@ it does help. I know there will be some crazy stress etc out there. But I have to say I am very happy working for myself. I’m basically 4 years into working weekends for myself. It’s not every weekend. But I haven’t really pushed it to be what it can be. It’s just been keeping the business paid. Machine, fuel , insurance etc. I wanna know what I’m capable of. And I’d like to be able to make a bit of my own schedule as well. I know that’s seldom possible while working for yourself as well. But first I want what God wants to provide me with. Just going to have to leave it in his hands. I like that working for myself could also work on my RUclips stuff as well. But it has to be His plan.

I saw in a older video that your Mack was always running low on coolant, I bought a 2008 Mack and I’m having the same problem. After ever couple days of hauling the light will come on and it looses a whole bunch of power but after I add more coolant it’s fine, I don’t see no leaks or anything. Did you ever find a solution for yours?

Sounds like the same issue I’m having. I haven’t found any problems yet. It’s not leaking externally and not mixed with the oil. So I’m not sure where it’s going…

    • @tristardiggin
      @tristardiggin  20 дней назад +1

Hey Adam, what a great question!
To know God’s will/plan for our lives we first have to consider where we are in our relationship with Him. Are we living our own lives in our own ways? Or are we trusting in Christ as our Lord and Savior, desiring to follow Him according to what He has shared with us in the Bible. If we are searching for His plan/will in our lives then we should be following the principles of the Bible and being a disciple (follower) of Christ! It’s one thing for us to know what the Bible says but it is a totally different thing to apply it to our lives. Jesus found it to be very important to go off to Himself and be alone with God. That is a big time example for us to follow.
I would be more than glad to help you know more about what it means to know His plan/will for your life. Shoot me an email at tristardiggin@gmail.com and I will get in touch with you…
      God Bless,
      Sam

    Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
    New International Version
    A Time for Everything
3 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
