    I'm a farmer, breakdowns are EXTREMELY frustrating! Seem they always happen when you're in a hurry! Hay's laying on the field and you can see rain on the horizon! True story, it happened to me! My neighbor lady needed some hay for her horses. I cut it, let it dry, left work early to bale it. Rained on me all the way home, while I'm praying, "Lord, please don't let her hay get wet!" There was rain on the road, all they way up the hill to my field. Just before the field, the pavement was bone dry. Not one drop of rain fell on her hay! Your text is spot on! I love the book of Philippians! Lee

    Sam, I had a similar issue with a case drain. It was on a New Holland/Case Compact Track Loader. The case drain actually had a relief valve that required 50lbs to open. My mulcher motor seals blew out several times at less than 50lbs. I hope you get it figured out.
    That message; I taught a lesson series on that scripture. I was having some major issues going on, and after engaging the word, I realized that Paul was in prison, chained to a guard yet he had the ability to encourage the Church at Philippi. “Rejoice in the Lord, again I say Rejoice”.
    Just who am I to whine about my problems, when Paul could sacrifice and suffer as he did to honor God’s will.
    It is a profound scripture (Philippians 4:4). Great Stuff my friend.

    I carry bolt cutters just for the hidden wire issues. If it’s on the ground the heads will find it.

      So step one, replace all the teeth, with matched identical items, step two, fix and repair the leak, and check for component wear at the seal face on the shafts, and hopefully this will get the machine running as it was designed to

      Yup, that is a wise move! I bought this one just to use around my place to keep things trimmed up. Figured I would use it on a job here and there to pay for it. But that’s over with.😀🤣 Just not worth the aggravation. I had a Prinoth drum mulcher on a CAT 308 but sold it when I got the 313. The Prinoth was a beast and I had no issues with it.
      I’m going to pass on this kind of work and just stick with the dirt jobs…🤣🤣🤣

    • @BulldogTractor
      @BulldogTractor Месяц назад +1

      308 is a good size! I’m size constrained to 82” wide on my equipment trailer. Was thinking something bigger than a 304 and most likely something in the 6 ton range. I run a FECON and a Shearex on CTL’s. Not many mini-x have great horsepower in the 6 ton class to run drum mulchers. Hence my thinking about flail mowers. But cross those off the list 🤣. A mulcher on your 313 would straight up eat! It would also take a lot of jobs and wrapped up barb wire to pay for also 🤣😂.

    I can relate with your experience here. I purchased a brand new tractor and implements. Boy was i happy. It made my homestead life so much easier as well as opening the door for me to make some money on the side. I hadn't hit 50 hours and was on my 3rd time of sending it back to the dealer for repairs. The third function quit working on me, then the lever for the front loader had a piece break off, and then the drain plug snapped off the radiator while i was brush hogging. I was getting furious. I had a brand new tractor, I had been able to get a lot done in a little time, but the constant breakdowns just drove me crazy. It's a half a tank of fuel one way for me to take that tractor to the dealer. Roughly $50 in fuel for a round trip. Then the time I'm without the equipment. I've been fortunate that everything has been covered by warranty, but the frustration is real. Operator error has cause me to dent the pto cover and I messed up a pto shift knuckle, but that is small things considering. My wife slightly bent the front loader, or so we suspect it was her anyway. She hit a tree and after that it was bent, or that's when we noticed it anyway. So grading isn't the easiest thing to do with it now. Being able to rely on the machines, equipment, and implements is crucial. So far I've been fortunate with my mini excavator.

    Couple things from experience with these. Get rid of the off brand cutter. Get a CAT head , not because its necessarily better, but the CAT parts support is second to none. Ensure your case train is at least 10mm inside diameter including fittings. Bigger is better on the case drain and make sure it dumps back in to the hydraulic tank with no filter. Also on all our cutters, the dealers require the hydraulic fluid to be at least 80 degrees before using. Tends to blow seals because of viscosity.

    Might be a long shot, but your case drain hose looks a little short and almost appears to be kinked at certain times. I noticed it around the 12:00 mark when you were running. If you are building pressure in that case drain because it's kinked that could easily explain the seal issue.

    • @tristardiggin
      @tristardiggin  Месяц назад +1

      Was looking into that and checked on possible kink situations. And couldn’t find any pinch points. I’m beginning to think there is an obstruction inside the case drain port or something wrong with the motor not relieving pressure. Hope to get it figured out though.

    • @tristardiggin
      @tristardiggin  Месяц назад +1

      @@BackFarms I don’t think the inline filter would be a restriction because it didn’t restrict the gravity flow or the air pressure that I put on the reservoir tank. Also I took it apart prior to installing the last seal to make sure it wasn’t stopped up. Also, Mike installed the exact same case drain on his 304 a few days before we hooked up mine. Mike hasn’t had any issues with his other than broken teeth. That filter will save you excavator if for some reason that motor has a massive failure. I think the hydraulic motor on mine is a lemon.🍋

    I don`t know Sam, that head don`t seem to do much but knock down light brush, too many problems and too much trouble to deal with. I follow Davin on letsdigit4 he has a small head on his excavator with fixed blades and takes down small trees brush you name it, and never has any trouble with that head. I believe it`s a concello. I am sure they are not cheap, but how are you gonna make money with that head when you are continually working on it. I don`t think a new seal is gonna help you, maybe for a couple days. Good luck and be well my friend.

    Yah it just doesn't look like a machine worth investing in. Brush cutter on a skid steer would cut this job in 10:1 time.

      Right, and the fact that they won’t honor the 1 year warranty is a bit aggravating too.
      I thought of the skid steer but this machine reaches into the hard to reach areas…
