Everybody's skin is buttery, smooth...I love sister locks, I'm thinking about it for my daughter , I just dont want to put them in and when she's old enough she hates them or wants her hair loose. But I love the spiritual message your sis mentioned. I've been natural for about 5 or 6 years and I'm just now falling in love with my hair, and accepting myself for who am. And being grateful to God for engineering my hair the way he has.
I'm very tired of my loose natural hair, now that I'm a new mom it's too time consuming. Thinking about this sisterlocs or microlocs journey. Very inspiring thanks for sharing ladies.

Same here. After 13 yrs. we are new parents again and my loose hair was waist length but I cut it into a long pixie. I believe SisterLocs are in my near future and they will be cheaper now. I'm tired of hair.

@@CopperColouredQueen Congrats to you as well. No it was never hard just time consuming and time I don't have alot of. I was going to get SisterLocs before cutting my hair but they wanted $1,940. 😕

You all are so beautiful. This is so encouraging. I'm 3 months sisterlocked and I started to feel very unpretty because they are still thin and not very long & I became so dependent on weaves to feel attractive but this has reaffirmed I made the right choice so thank you!
Keisha Noel thank you for being honest about your feelings regarding the beginning stage. I am really considering the micro locks but I also fell into the weave cycle especially in the “corporate” world. Where I feel the pressure to look a certain way. I’m ready to drop the mask and embrace who I am completely. I’ve been natural for 6 years now but cover my hair for work
@@lydiasimms5675 you're welcome. Every month they get better and I become more comfortable in being my new natural self. The money I've saved on weaves, braids ect., the extra time to sleep and the freedom from being defined by European standards of beauty makes it all worth it. I know 1 day I'll look back and be so glad I stuck with it
I'm just seeing this! Thank you so much for your kind words. I also had the "unpretty" phase but I learned to love my hair in all stages. Having the freedom to wear my natural hair was more than enough for me. It forced me to practice patience and value the locing journey. I wouldn't change it for the world :)

LOL same here! As I get closer to that age, I become less thrilled about the potential of having kids for the same reason haha

My hair is fine, soft and somewhat thin and I’m not sure how my journey will go, but I’m loving the hair freedom. Thanks for sharing your journeys as they are very inspiring. Wow. I just found this channel. I see this is from over a year ago. I am now sisterlocked 23 months. I only have 420 locks. Maybe a little less. I love them, but surely wish they looked even close to one of you. One can only dream. You have a beautiful family. Truly blessed.
