I agree with these tips especially finding a protective style that doesn’t require mid week manipulation or having to switch up the style. When I have my wash day, my protective style is set for three weeks until it’s wash day again.
❤thank you for the tips😊. I’m 57 and I’ve graduated to thick, wavy hair, it’s shoulder length now. I take a Geritol tab daily, deep condition once a week, shampoo every two weeks, keep my scalp and hair oiled (Royal Crown), style with a few twists and hair clips, cover nightly with a silk or Lycra caps, spray with water & tea tree oil. But I do have to comb it because it’s so thick, but I comb it under running water (shower). All works effectively. 🎉
girl you are so underrated, you have to be on of my favorite natural hair girlie. You're so down to earth and lovable not to mention the fact that your tips and tricks are so good

@@amytarie. it’s good for the hair especially in the winter time if you wear a lot of scarves or cotton material, the yarn protects the ends from these harsh materials and weather in general. When I band my hair, I African thread my ends and tie it up in a bun, and put on my hijab. My hair is almost waist length from this method, and my hair was in bad shape at first it was breaking in random sections and I had bald spots from a bad product I was using, but now, my hair is healthy, soft, and long. A real game changer 😊
It made sence baby thank you. I have hair like yours been natural since 2018 but only shoulder length. I said i wanted longer hair to my bum but never sat down to see what type of hair porosity i have in order to create a routine. All around my head, my hair is moisture, but the middle is as dry as the desert. I started making a hair mask 1 aloe, 2 avacado, 1 tbs olive 🫒 oil, amla oil, and Jamaica blk castro oil and 🍯. I blend and put in my hair for an 1hr wash my hair out, and i moisture it 2 strand twist, and that's it. I loose less hair with my hair mask, and my hair was soft, and it grew. So it's a winner for me. I will look into a half of wig for the week. That way, i dont have to really touch my hair when i care for it underneath.
Wow that's amazing! You're amazing! 👏🏾Good for you , I love the fresh ingredients in your mask. If this routine works for you keep it up! Your hair will be at your goal in no time! :)
Thank you! You and your hair are beautiful. I’ve been thinking about doing wash n goes daily since I go to the gym everyday. Do y’all think that’s okay??
There’s nothing wrong with wetting the hair everyday, because our hair texture is naturally dry, my biggest concern is the styling process where you will be using combs and heat to stretch the curls and times it by everyday--may be too excessive on the strands causing it to weaken overtime leading to breakage. I think twice a week and try using witch hazel on the scalp between washes would be a better option.
No 😭 but I want to real bad. I’m so extreme. I promised myself that I wouldn’t flat iron my hair until it was the desired length I wanted… that was 8yrs ago 💀 however I just reached the length I’ve always wanted so I might straighten it to do a trim in Dec. ( & film it ) … I might 👀
Hey girl 🫶🏾 so it's good to keep your hair moisturized as you do but the main point of the vid. is you need ✨length retention ✨. Don't dtm w/ your hair. Leave it alone in one style for months at a time & wash your hair in between. If you do that consistently, you will see the growth of your hair. ( Regardless your hair IS growing every day, but you can't see 1/4 an in. of growth on day 12, like you can see 2 in. of growth on day 90 ( 3 months ). *just an example* Hope that helps!
thank you sm for the advice thing is i cant rlly do ay protective styles bc where i live theres barley anyone who do them and i cant do them myself bc im in an extremely judgemental school and i'd mostly be made fun of if i do braids or twists tysm for the advice though i loved this video
@@glosssydanielle I understand. Protective hairstyles aren't the only way to retain length however. ( I'll make a vid on that soon ) & You can wear your hair out in a wash-n-go or bun whichever style you want that YOU feel comfortable with ( don't let some kids at school make you feel bad, YOU'RE GORGEOUS!) & then you can keep repeating that style for weeks at a time until you decide when wash day is. Hope that helps some more. I would strongly encourage you to practice doing your own hair, protective style or not, despite what them snotty-nose kids think b/c that's the only way you'll learn how to & get better 🩷 you can do anything my love ! Take care :)
I’m one that will put my hair in a protective style and take it out In 2 weeks because I get bored lol I always had a problem with retaining length so I’m learning to leave my protective styles in longer like 6-8 weeks and not switch up (manipulate) my hair so much along with other healthy hair habits ❤

If that works for you then I say it's a great routine you have there ! :)
Dr. Thalia. When you say you’ve graduated… do you mean you’d always had thin hair before?
Finger detangling has been a game changer! Yep.
An absolute game changer ! 😩 I've never retained more hair in my LIFE lol

My hair allergic to shoulder length 😭😂
May it grow to infinity & beyond ! 🤣
Trim split ends and African thread those ends😊 keeping the ends soft is a recipe for length retention.
@@Gladiator_in_a_Suit Trim only when necessary, but I'm not sure about African threading.. haven't tried that yet.

Thank you ! 🥰 As long as you can wear it till wash day without restyling / re-moisturizing then I don't see an issue.
♥️
Thanks for the love 💕
