You put me on to Olaplex for 4c hair via TikTok! Really saved my hair tbh! i've been using #3 since October. I cut my MBL hair to to 10 inches in October, and I'm at 12 inches today with the healthiest ends of my life lol! I've never retained length like this. Shoutout to YOU! Working to reach 16 inches in 2024🤞🏽 Two questions. 1. How often are you doing this routine? 2. What's your daily/weekly maintenance like? Would love to to see that routine as well! My biggest hurdle is staying ahead of dryness. Thank you for all you do!
Omg hi! This put a huge smile on my face. I do this routine every 2-3 weeks. It’s been more like 3 weeks lately. I moisturize my hair about every 7-10 days with the same routine, a leave in moisturizer, honey hydrate and curl maker at the tips of my hair. A water based leave in + honey hydrate does wonders for my hair! If my hair is looking a bit rough I retwist between the 1-2 week mark if I’m not washing my hair. 💗
@@fatimaxfarouk I agree!! I use a water based leave in plus honey mixed, a moisturizer I got from Charity with Unveiling the veil natural hair care, and I use natures protein coconut gelee on my ends. My hair is in mini braids so I do two cornrows and tuck the ends. I also do the baggy method on just my ends 3 times a week and OMGOSH!! I LOVE ALL THOSE PRODUCTS and how my hair feels! I’m taking my hair heath and growth to another level this year!!
Thankyouuuu for posting this tutorial, finally I understood that the problem is length retention and not hair growth products… all of those rice water hair challenges and overnight hair growth challenges made me confused.
Hey love you said you would do your own hair if you can see the parts, the tip i have for that is to get a hand held mirror, turn your back towards your bathrooms mirror and use the hand held mirror to see the back of your head, this helps me when i do my own knotless braids, no one else will handle your hair like you do🫶🏾

Twists are the best. I do that same style to my daughter’s hair. At night, I put her twists in 2 pony tails with protective bands (about 8 bands per pony). By morning time, her hair is stretched all the way down to almost her butt.

I just realized you have 4c hair like me. What, I'm not sure about is if I have high or low porosity. How did you figure it out? The test I've taken gives off a low porosity vibe but I'm still not sure. My hair gets dry easily and I have lots of tangles and slip ends. Currently, my middle to back length is at bra length while the front session of my hair is shorter, and some parts are way shorter.🤦🏽♀️ I want to do a big chop and start all over but need to figure things out properly, pheww😤
Hi there!! If your hair is healthy, there’s no need to do a big chop. I’d just say to cut the split ends and damaged hair and rock with that. My hair is at an uneven length because I just cut off my unhealthy ends too. It’s feeling and looking sooooo much healthier and better
I’m sorry to hear that. I agree with the comment above. It honestly sounds like your hair might be High Porosity based a few things you mentioned . To confirm your porosity, you can take a shed Hair strand after you shampoo it and put it in water for 15 minutes, if sinks it’s hp, if it is in the middle of the water it is mp but if it floats it is lp. Another way to tell is how well your hair soak up water. When you go to wash your hair does your hair need a couple of minutes to start soaking up the water (LP Low Porosity) or do your hair immediately gets wet the moment water hits it (HP High Porosity).
@@Brandy_j5 Hi, thank you. I did the first test you mentioned on different occasions in the past and it came as low porosity. As for the other one, my hair takes a bit of time to get wet when I try to wash my hair. It also forms beads when it comes in contact with water, I have to squeeze it in. All these show it could be LP but it dries easily🤦🏽♀️ LP hair doesn't need thick products but my hair responds better to shea butter, mango butter and castor oil too when mixed with lighter oils. I currently use the Mielle moisturizing avocado milk, shea moisture raw shea butter deep moisturizing shampoo and the cream of nature mango and shea butter ultra-moisturizing conditioner. The milk and the conditioner are both thick, isn't that a sign of high porosity? How much time needed for your hair to soak water, determines if it's low or high?
@@setapartaay925 Okay, I will visit the hair salon and let them determine. I've been natural since December 24th, 2015 when I got a big chop and it's been a struggle. Making mistakes and trying things out, all to understand my hair better. I only got to discover the products I mentioned earlier in my other comment 3 months ago and they seem to be the only ones to work so far but my hair still gets dry after a while🚶🏾♀️
@@nininelson6108 ok, gotcha. It does seems like you’re LP. Also, try the baggy method. There’s tons of info about it. Seen some real growth doing that. I keep my hair in mini twists in a high bun during summer months and cornrows in a low bun during winter. I also use grease, do scalp massages, and I show some extra, extra, EXTRA TLC to my ends. I deep condition my entire head and then I deep condition my ends with oil right after. I also use Nature’s Protein coconut oil gelee for my ends while I do the baggy method…….🙏🏾🙌🏾😳😲🤭. I just purchased 7 jars of this stuff. LOVE IT!! #GameChanger
Hey Fatima ! How do you moisturize it during the week. Do you just just apply the Camille rose curl and honey hydrate ? Are you spraying with water before ?
Hi love, the honey hydrate keeps my hair moisturized for about a week so I only remoisturize then. I don’t wet my hair unless it’s wet from cleansing my scalp every 2 weeks in the shower. I usually start on dry hair with a water based leaving, then honey hydrate and then curl maker 🫶🏿❤️
Hi! Yes I use it every wash day except for wash days that I’m doing a protein treatment. No it’s not a protein treatment. It’s a bonding treatment that repairs the broken bonds in your hair to reduce split ends, breakage and strengthen and smoothen the hair. 💗💗
@@lyn6832 I do it every 2-3 months. You don’t want to do it too often, it could make your hair very brittle. If 2-3 months has negative effects increase the frequency 💗💗

@@fatimaxfarouk Oooh, good to know! Thank you! Would you say it's the combo of the two that are best for detangling? Or would No.3 alone suit that purpose?
Hi again! The olaplex products aren’t detangling products, they are bonding treatments that smoother, strengthen and repair hair to reduce split ends and breakage. You’re supposed to use it before you shampoo. I detangle my hair in the process to kill 2 birds with one stone! No 3 has more slip no Zero is a liquid!
@@fatimaxfarouk Gotcha! I thought because you were detangling with them that they may have extra benefits. Thank you for answering my questions! That helps a lot!
How often do you wash your hair? That may be part of why you aren’t being effected by washing your ends. When I went to weekly washing it became a real issue and I have had to cut a lot of of hair behind it
How often do you wear your hair out? I find that I make progress with my hair being moisturized in protective styles but I love wearing my hair out and after a few months, I right back where I started with dry hair and split ends.
Hi Love!! I use Final Cut Pro. If you don’t want to spend that much $$. CapCut for desktop and phone is also great. I’m sending good vibes you got this 💪🏿💪🏿
You got this love! Remember: 1. Be gentle when handling your hair 2. Moisturize 3. Protective style. Consistently do this and you will reduce breakage significantly!
My hair just doesnt stay twisted in the ends so that limits what I can do with protective styles. I have tried beeswax, and homemade sealer, nothing works. And I dont want to use rubber ands because my hair breaks off on the ends. The struggle is real.
You got this babes! Focus on being as gentle as possible, keep your hair moisturized. Makes sure you aren’t deficient in iron or vitamin d. It can affect your hair growth cycle 💗💗

Whoever says you shouldn't shampoo your ends is a liar. Focus on your SCALP, but you still need to wash your entire head??
Your hair is beautiful, how often do you wash and deep condition ?
Every 3 weeks
Do you use the Olaplaex products every wash day? Also, are the Olaplaex products a sort of protein treatment?
Hi! Yes I use it every wash day except for wash days that I’m doing a protein treatment. No it’s not a protein treatment. It’s a bonding treatment that repairs the broken bonds in your hair to reduce split ends, breakage and strengthen and smoothen the hair. 💗💗
@@fatimaxfaroukhow often can I do a protein treatment? My hair requires a lot of moisture and is high porosity like yours
@@lyn6832 I do it every 2-3 months. You don’t want to do it too often, it could make your hair very brittle. If 2-3 months has negative effects increase the frequency 💗💗
@@fatimaxfarouk omghh thank u so much I was thinking about doing it every wash day😅
@lyn6832 oh girl no 😂💗💗
This girl is bleeding BIOTIN cus the skin, the hair EMACULATE. What beauty! 😍😍
Omggg thank you love!!
I would love to see hair growth oil for natural hair😊
What moisturizer do you use in winter time? Do you still use honey hydrate.
Jesus Christ loves you, he is the way, truth and life, Jesus Christ is coming again pls give your life to him 🙏😊
Amen!!!!
Amen……Jesus Is Lord of Lords And King of Kings and He saves !!!
Amen!! People it’s getting close to him coming back we need to do this yall! Start by praying to him everyday and reading a little of the Bible at a time and you’ll feel great I promise
HIS NAME IS YAHUSHA THE MESSIAH, IT WAS CHANGED TO JESUS BY CONSTANTINE OF ROME. THE ORIGINAL HEBREW NAMES HAVE BEEN RESTORED IN THE CEPHER BIBLE. THE NAME OF THE FATHER IS YAHUAH AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE.😇
His name is JESUS! He has many names and responds to them all! Emmanuel, The Lamb, JESUS! I have cast out demons through the name of JESUS, don't believe everything you hear.
Another question! If you had to pick between the two bond products you use at the start, which one would you choose?
No 3! 💗💗
Can you do “a week in my hair routine” please?
Sure but not much happens. I moisturize my hair once a week and wash my hair every 3 weeks
Nice video.
Pls does natural hair growth routines also work for relaxed hair?
Yes it does!
You have pretty hair and skin.
Thank you so much! 🥰
Finally!!!
😩🤣🤣
How often do you wash your hair? That may be part of why you aren’t being effected by washing your ends. When I went to weekly washing it became a real issue and I have had to cut a lot of of hair behind it
I wash my hair every 3 weeks
How often do you straighten your hair
How often do you wear your hair out? I find that I make progress with my hair being moisturized in protective styles but I love wearing my hair out and after a few months, I right back where I started with dry hair and split ends.
Hello! I don't wear my hair out often because I'm a Muslim and I wear hair scarf a lot.
You have such a youthful look! And your hair is so beautiful.
Thank you so much!!
I thought about you the other day because you were right aphogee products
Happy to hear you liked them :)
What’s your hair’s porosity?
High porosity 💗💗
Good tips and good video. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Hey love! How do you edit your videos ? I’m trying to get started on RUclips this year.
Hi Love!! I use Final Cut Pro. If you don’t want to spend that much $$. CapCut for desktop and phone is also great. I’m sending good vibes you got this 💪🏿💪🏿
O cool! I have a similar routine but my twist never stay when washing. I've had to braid it to stop the unravel. Any tips?
Hi love! I use hair clips to prevent my twists from unraveling 💗💗
Your hair is beautiful 😍❤️
Thank youu !
This brush is the best money that and the demin brush thank god for these brushes shea moisture and carols daughter try such great products amazing
I totally agree!
New Subbie🎉 Quick Question. Did you say you wash your hair 2-3 times a week? Or did you say you wash every 2-3 weeks. At 4:05
Thank you for subscribing! 🥰 I wash my hair every 2-3 weeks!
@@fatimaxfarouk Got you! Okay, I thought I heard that wrong lol
I wish I could my twa in sections and in twists like that. It’s so time consuming to detangle
You got this love!
Remember:
1. Be gentle when handling your hair
2. Moisturize
3. Protective style.
Consistently do this and you will reduce breakage significantly!
Thank you! I’ll practice using more gentle hands.
Gorgeous hair
Your skin is beautiful
Thank you!
What protective styles did you get when your hair was shorter...about neck-shoulder length?
Braids and twists
My hair just doesnt stay twisted in the ends so that limits what I can do with protective styles. I have tried beeswax, and homemade sealer, nothing works. And I dont want to use rubber ands because my hair breaks off on the ends. The struggle is real.
Is your hair long enough to roll the ends up and make a loose knot?
Try honey hydrate and shea butter on the ends
@@mannypedib Yes, my hair I almost butt length.
@@fatimaxfarouk I will look for that.
I just want to reach bra strap length again!!😢i cut mine in 2017 now stuck chin length
You got this babes! Focus on being as gentle as possible, keep your hair moisturized. Makes sure you aren’t deficient in iron or vitamin d. It can affect your hair growth cycle 💗💗
Yes, great tips, but I’d like to add to keeps your ends tucked away too. This has been a great help for LR for me💯
@@fatimaxfarouk wow spot on haha I just started taking my vitamins again,I was low on iron/ magnesium.🤍
you have blissed skin melanin god blissed skin of the goddess you have the prettiest dark extremely most beautiful complexion in the world period omg you are a true goddess
Thank you!! 😊
Hiii! What if my hair is very short and cant be sectioned off? Do i just detangle and stuff
Hii! Yes that’s totally fine 🥰🥰
Do you ever get box braids?
So is putting your hair in twists right after shampooing & conditioning part of stretching your hair without heat?
No the reason why is because it reduces tangles and single strand knots
How often do you do the Olaplex treatment?
Almost every washday, I don’t use it on wash days I’m doing a protein treatment
@@fatimaxfarouk Thank you
Your hair is beautiful! Have you always been natural?
Thank you! No, I went natural in 2014!
